*******www.tweaktown**** COMPUTEX Taipei 2010 - Our storage guru Chris who is also in Taipei for Computex 2010 is going to go into detail about what he saw at OCZ’s suite at the Grand Hyatt a little on, but once we heard from him that they were showing off an enterprise server system that was able to push almost 1GB/s through its storage system, we had to take the video camera up and get a closer look at what was going on.
Jessica from OCZ introduced their Computex demo system that consisted of eight of its brand new Deneva SSDs. This new model is based on the SandForce SF-1500 controller that is using a custom SAS interface and SLC flash memory.
The system was also installed with LSI’s mainstream SAS 2.0 controller card that is critical in being able to push these amazing numbers that OCZ demonstrated to us today at the show. Distributed by Tubemogul.

The search for a missing woman has turned up eight other bodies.
Police say Shannan Gilbert, a prostitute from New Jersey went missing about a year ago. In December, investigators searching for Gilbert found four bodies. Then last week- one more. And Monday? Three more. All around a popular beach on Long Island, where Gilbert was last seen. (Video: ITN)
The Sun reports what prompted the search for Gilbert.
“A woman believed to be Shannan knocked on a man's door at 4.45am on May 1 last year pleading for help. She said she feared for her life but ran off when he called the police. Later a man passed the house looking for her - but then drove off.”
BBC reports the identified victims have one major thing in common.
“Four women have been identified so far. All advertised as escorts on Craig's List, suggesting that the killer targeted prostitutes. The police haven't identified a suspect yet. The search for more possible victims continues.”
But even with clues as to whom the killer is targeting- KVUE in Austin spoke with a criminologist who says the police may never solve the crimes.
“These cases are very difficult to solve because the potential witnesses, other women for example who are walking the streets, who know these victims, they don't tend to trust police.”
That’s not the only obstacle police are facing. New York’s WABC reports- the search for Gilbert hasn’t been easy.
“Fog, rain and sand whipped up by the wind. It was a grim drudge through the sand dunes with no new discoveries. Police will be back at it again today. So far they have covered about half of their planned search area.”
Finally, a blogger for The Village Voice points out the crimes suggest a frightening trend in the area.
“Something slightly terrifying is happening along Ocean Parkway and Gilgo Beach on Long Island … This would be the third set of prostitute serial murders in Long Island in the last 20 years.”
According to The Sun, officials say they are confident they’ll find Gilbert in the area.

In 1846, Atlanta was in the charter; and in 1847, it was recognized by the state legislator. Retired Officer George A. Logan tells the true story behind the beginning of Atlanta as he brings forth a historical documentary, The First Eight.
This book contains some of the most hellacious, cold-blooded yet heartwarming, and humanistic facts about Atlanta ever to be revealed. It talks of the infamous “Zero Mile Post” that was hammered into the ground less than fifty yards from Old Decatur Stage Road, now known as Decatur Street, which marked the beginning of Atlanta. It also tells of love, sex, political corruption, and racial unrest that has played a significant part of this place’s history.
Unlike most books that start with a pen, pencil, or typewriter, The First Eight starts with rocks, guts, disillusions, humanity, and most of all, reality.
