Human being can assimilate vegetables as well as meat of others. There are vegetables thoughts: they are offered, they are cultivated, they grow; as well we have meat thoughts: they demand sacrifice, it fights for life, they demand suffering. At Carnicos Limpidos, Carlos Matiella shows us his point of view about people who offers this kind of ideological thoughts. On one hand we have the vegetable seller, he is enchanted of his fruit, he respect them as alive beings, and take care of them in order to prevent their rot, is the pacific owner of his personal space. On the other hand we have the butcher, he is sacrificed for his meat, he is affraid of danger, he is always worried about real and imaginary things, and that doesn´t let him to be happy, he is always aggressive, on defense. At the end all of us consume ideas, forms to think, and we live woth that. Ideas take us into two ideas or destinies: they consume us or let us live free.

www.BgreenTV**** HELP US SAVE THE PLANET MAKE A ECO FRIENDLY VIDEO TODAY OR SUBMIT ONE YOU FIND AND HELP US SAVE THE PLANET (PART 3) Suffering Seas Trawlers and seine netters cross the world's oceans scooping out increasing numbers of ever smaller fish. Heavy trawl boards smash their way across the ocean floor, destroying everything in their path. Every year more countries scramble to join the killing fields of tuna drift netting and with each net go the lives of more whales and dolphins, rays and seabirds, turtles and sharks. Some countries continue with their slaughter of whales. Mammals with a language more complex than our own, but of which we understand not one word. Intensive factory farming has also come to the seas of Europe and it is salmon, mysterious migratory creatures which are the chosen captives. It is like caging swallows. Crammed into cages they can only survive with the use of antibiotics and pesticides and are made marketable by colouring their flesh with an additive banned in the USA. And to feed these imprisoned creatures, the seas are trawled for other fish, industrial fish.... 5 pounds to produce 1 pound of salmon meat. PCBs are industrial chemicals, some of the most poisonous substances known, these now infect almost the whole of the oceans' food chain. FACTS 5: Nine of the world's 17 major fisheries are in serious decline. All of the others have reached their limits. Worldwide 124 billion dollars are spent every year catching just 70 billion dollars worth of fish. Recent surveys suggest that over 40% of fish caught in the North sea are diseased - often with cancerous tumours. An estimated 240,000 tonnes of PCB's (effectively banned in the UK since 1980) are thought to have entered the world's oceans. Strongly migratory salmon are factory farmed at stocking densities of 15kg per squaremetre. Health Welfare Supposedly we are the most intelligent of all creatures, capable of complex feelings and what do we do? We imprison other intelligent creatures in solitary confinement, until they go mad. We deny them the ability to fulfil their most basic instincts. We treat their living, feeling young as inanimate commodities and then we eat them. Restlessly wandering fowl are crammed into cages too small to even stretch their wings. All are quickly fattened in damp, dark sheds often crippled by their ballooning weight and all face the same end in an automated production line and then we eat them. Pain and suffering are relative concepts we are told, in the pursuit of cheap meat do not concern yourself, we are told, about the infections that come with cheap meat.... campylobacter, salmonella, mad cow disease. 'Meat to Live' we are told, ignoring the heart disease and bowel cancer and other ailments which go hand in hand with eating meat. Profit has no conscience, only a balance sheet. In its name both animals and people are there to be exploited. FACTS 6: Heart disease is the major cause of death in the UK and the developed world. Studies have shown vegetarians to suffer 30% less heart disease than meat eaters. Cancer accounts for a quarter of all premature deaths in the UK. At least one third of all cancers are directly related to diet. Many risk factors are significantly reduced on a vegetarian diet. Research shows the incidence of colon, breast, prostate and other cancers is lower among vegetarians. It's estimated that about 2,000,000 people suffer from food poisoning every year (in the UK). Almost all food poisoning is from meat diary products. In the last 2 seconds of our evolutionary year we have destroyed and poisoned in a rate unknown in the history of the earth. Growth and consumption have caused the problem, yet we are told that even more growth and consumption can cure it. Are we any richer, any happier, any more ennobled for all the death, the pain and the destruction? We have bequeathed our children a world which contains less wonder than when we inherited it. We have poisoned their water, polluted their air and laid most of their land waste. We are handing them a world which to us looked certain, but is now teetering on the brink of catastrophe. And still governments do nothing, but you can. Simply by giving up meat, poultry, fish and slaughterhouse by-products, you'll make an immediate contribution to ending the pain, the cruelty and the destruction. Stop the killing by becoming vegetarian, you have the choice. You can help stop the cruelty and destruction today. Join the Vegetarian Society. Join the fight for life. --Sent via *******heyspread**** : Upload videos to multiple sites quickly

17.11.2008 Litvinov, Ustecky Kraj, Czech Republic About 500 right-wing extremists tried to go to an area inhabited by Roma (Gypsy) to attack them in the northern Czech town of Litvinov, but were prevented by about 1000 police/riot squad personnel. Riot police have waged a bloody battle with far-right protesters who hurled petrol bombs and stones. Some of the rioters wore masks. In the ensuing riot, lots of law enforcement personnel and 'right-wingers' were injured. The violence broke out at a march by the far-right WORKERS' PARTY, a public holiday in the Czech Republic marking both the 1939 Nazi clamp down on Czechoslovak universities and the 1989 student protest that sparked the Velvet Revolution which ended decades of communist rule in the central European country. The Czech Republic's largely impoverished Roma population has repeatedly complained of endemic racial discrimination. In the midst of the transition to democracy in Central and Eastern Europe, the Roma have increasingly become victims of racial discrimination, stereotyping, and violence. Of all the stereotypes of the Roma, the social construct of Gypsy criminality has had the most devastating impact upon the social status of the community. In public discourse concerning the Romani community—whether political or in the media—the issue of alleged Gypsy criminality, is often referred to as a justification for society's treatment of the Roma. Deeply rooted in the past and widely held, this stereo-type invariably shapes public opinion and state action against the Roma. Media in several countries tend to arouse anti-Gypsy hysteria by reporting that the Roma are criminals who exploit the benefits granted to asylum-seekers in the countries to which they are migrating. Related News: CZECH ROMA PROTEST ARSON ATTACK ON BABY 04.05.2009 Rallies were held across the Czech Republic on Sunday in a show of strength by the country's Roma community against extremism, two weeks after an arson attack left a Roma baby fighting for life. A crowd of about 250 people gathered outside a Prague church to pray for the family from the eastern village of Vitkov, whose two-year-old girl has more than 80 percent burns after the Molotov attack on April 19. "I have come to support the family," Monika Hlavacova, a young Roma woman from Prague, told AFP, describing the situation of the 300,000-strong Czech Roma community as "terrible." Similar protests were held in 13 other towns and cities including Usti nad Labem, where neo-Nazis staged a march two weeks ago, and Chomutov, whose town hall seizes benefits from Roma defaulting on rents. When the speaker in Prague said the Roma rallying in Chomutov had been attacked by extremists throwing firecrackers, the crowd chanted: "This is our home too," "Murderers" and "Shame on you." The Prague rally was attended by several politicians including Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg, but their presence failed to silence criticism that the government had been slow to react. "If the family were white, politicians would have acted at once," said Hlavacova. *******www.khaleejtimes****/citytimes/inside.asp?xfile=/data/citytimes/2009/May/citytimes_May34.xml§ion=citytimes *******www.expatica****/es/news/european_news/Czech-Roma-protest-arson-attack-on-baby--_52215.html ******* ******* *******

BY JENNIFER MECKLES You're watching multisource U S news analysis from Newsy If you knew someone on the transplant list needed a new heart, would you support their fight for life? Most would say yes. But what if that person was a convicted child rapist, serving time in prison -- and relied on your tax dollars for the surgery -- Still on board? Albany’s WXXA has the story behind this very real situation right now in New York: “We’ve learned that a convicted rapist doing time in state prison down in Green County is being evaluated for a heart transplant -- A heart transplant that you and I would have to pay for. Kenneth Pike was flown from the Coxsackie Correctional Facility to a Rochester hospital where he’s now listed in guarded condition.” This story got strong reaction from local viewers... the taxpayers who would be expected to foot the estimated $800,000 hospital bill. Rochester, New York’s WHAM reports -- all the attention led to an unexpected decision from the prisoner, himself: “We have learned that Kenneth Pike may have had a change of heart. His sister, Sharon Cardinal tells 13 WHAM News, Pike doesn’t want the transplant. Cardinal told us quote -- ‘He told his kids he didn’t want it because he’s tired of living his life that way.’ Cardinal says Pike will return to prison in Green County this week, against the wishes of his children.” Pike’s story sparked discussion about the rights of the convicted nationwide. Fox News asks -- should prisoners be entitled to organ transplants? ANCHOR: “Isn’t this guy actually gaining a right he probably never had before, and thereby profiting from his heinous crime?” CHIP MERLIN: “There is no right for a law abiding citizen to have this type of treatment afforded to them. And there has been some concerns expressed regarding these donor cards that a lot of us have and we sign up for all the time -- that if we start allow convicted felons to get organs, a lot of people are going to stop signing up for this program.” A writer for Business First of Buffalo says he does NOT like the idea of funding life extensions for criminals, but after further consideration -- he raises these questions: “Who are we to play God? If we begin to deny medical treatment to prisoners for ‘major surgeries’ where does it stop? Soon some politician realizes we can slash the budget by cutting non-essential doctor’s visits, then we eliminate dental care. Before you know it, the prison system backslides closer to something we are used to reading about in a war-torn third-world dictatorships half a world away.” The story lit a fire under the state senator Michael Nozzolio, who represents that New York region. He is now calling for a special hearing to investigate organ transplants for prison inmates. The Auburn Citizen reports why: "A key concern mentioned in a press release issued by Nozzolio's office Monday is that inmates could potentially jump ahead of law-abiding citizens on the organ donor lists." The New York Post reports Pike is eligible for parole in 2013 - if he lives until then. Family members told the Associated Press Pike has already undergone triple bypass surgery, will likely die without the transplant.
