Although I am not qualified to comment on how someone with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome would be affected by an acute dose of mercury one would receive during the placement, and unsafe removal, of amalgam fillings; I personally would not want to take that unnecessary risk. I suggest you reflect back on your previous dental experiences when these fillings were placed in your teeth, or when they were removed and replaced by another amalgam filling. This will give you a clue as to your own reaction to such a high, unprotected exposure. Because of the many factors involved, some people are more vulnerable than others to mercury, this highlights the importance of using a mercury free dentist and a safe amalgam removal protocol as a way to minimize exposure to mercury during their removal. I think it goes without saying that if you have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, having amalgam fillings put in your teeth wouldn’t be a very good idea if you want to minimize your exposure to mercury! (You can find the largest listing of mercury free and mercury safe dentists by Clicking on, Find a Mercury Free Dentist.) Selecting a mercury free dentist is extremely important for anyone with any idiopathic disease or condition whose symptoms are triggered by ‘unknown’ causes, such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. For example, I've a friend who has early symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and she told me that before she knew the importance of safe amalgam filling removal, some of her symptoms were triggered when she had her fillings removed. Not only was she exposed to a high dose of mercury (for her situation) much of what she received would accumulate in her body. I’ve also heard similar stories from many others. If mercury is a trigger for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome symptoms then it is logical to avoid or minimize any exposure to it.

When it comes to your health, amalgam can do far more harm than good.... Mercury exposure Dental amalgam is approximately 50% mercury, a known neurotoxin and reproductive toxin. Amalgam releases mercury vapors throughout its lifecycle, especially when the dentist places the amalgam in your tooth you chew food or gum you brush your teeth you grind your teeth As a result, people with amalgam fillings have higher levels of mercury in their bodies than people without amalgam fillings. Vulnerable populations Mercury exposure from dental amalgam is not safe for anyone. But it is particularly risky for.... Children: Children’s developing brains and neurological systems are particularly susceptible to the neurotoxic effects of amalgam’s mercury vapor. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) admits that there is no evidence that amalgam is safe for children: “Very limited to no clinical information is available regarding long-term health outcomes in pregnant women and their developing fetuses, and children under the age of six, including infants who are breastfed.” Many countries – including the entire European Union – are banning amalgam use in children. Women of childbearing age: Mercury from a mother’s amalgams can cross the placenta and accumulate in her unborn child. As mentioned above, the FDA admits that there is no evidence that amalgam is safe for developing fetuses. Many countries – including the entire European Union, Canada, Australia, and Mauritius – are banning or recommending against amalgam use in pregnant women.

Toxic chemicals The toxic chemicals are the substance that can be poisonous or cause the health effects , They don’t break down easily in the environment , they can build up the tissues of small organisms , they can move up through the food chain . The chemicals can be toxic because they can harm us when they enter or contact the body , they can threaten the human health , The motor vehicle emissions of nitrogen and sulphur oxides cause the acid rain which poisons the fish and other aquatic organisms in the rivers and lakes . carbon dioxide gas causes the greenhouse effect and the climate change , Chlorofluorocarbons ( CFCs ) cause the destruction of ozone in the stratosphere and they create the possibility of serious environmental damage from ultraviolet radiation . The oil drilling and transport , mining and maritime operations all result in the accidental introduction of toxic materials into the marine environment , and the leakage from the storage tanks and the pipelines , and the seepage from the waste dumps . The toxic materials or substances can poison people and other life, They can cause illness and even death if swallowed or absorbed through the skin , where the pesticides , the weed killers , and many household cleaners are toxic , they occurs as a result of a variety of human activities . What is a chemical? Everything in the physical world around us is made of chemicals. The earth we walk on, the air we breathe, the food we eat, the cars we drive, and the houses we live in are all made of various chemicals. Living organisms such as plants, animals, and humans are also made of chemicals. Some of the chemicals we contact in our daily lives are man-made. These man-made chemicals include some drugs, cosmetics, workplace products, household cleaning agents, and so on. Many more chemicals which we are exposed to each day occur naturally and are found in our food, in the air, and in water. There are far more natural chemicals in our environment than man-made ones. Both man-made and natural chemicals can have poisonous effects. What makes chemicals poisonous? There are several factors which can influence the degree of poisoning caused by a chemical. These factors are as follows: Route of entry into the body Amount or dose entering the body Toxicity of the chemical Removal from the body Biological variation What are the routes of entry into the body? No chemical can cause poisonous effects without first coming into contact with the body. Inhaling (breathing in) contaminated air is the most common way that workplace products enter the body. Some chemicals, when in contact with the skin, can seep through the skin. Less commonly, workplace chemicals may be swallowed, for example from contaminated food or cigarettes. The eyes may also be a route of entry. Usually, however, only very small quantities of chemicals in the workplace enter the body through the mouth or the eyes.

It's in water bottles, sippy cups, and the seams and linings of cans containing food: Bisphenol A (BPA) is the chemical's name, and manufacturers use it to harden plastic. Unfortunately, it may pose a health hazard. Initially, researchers in the U.S. and abroad linked exposure to high levels of BPA in infancy to increased risk of obesity and early-onset puberty. Then, last September, the Journal of the American Medical Association published a study involving 1,455 American adults, which linked high urinary levels of BPA to heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and liver complications. Additionally, previous studies had shown that BPA can blunt the effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs, says Sonya Lunder, a public health scientist with the nonprofit Environmental Working Group. An FDA subcommittee has recommended further research be done to answer questions about BPA's safety. Some states aren't waiting to take action: At least 12 are moving to ban the chemical from baby bottles. (A few bottlemakers, such as Nalgene, have already removed BPA from their products.) In the meantime, you can limit your exposure by not putting hot food or drinks in plastic containers (or placing those containers in the microwave): Heat causes the chemical to leach into food. Canned goods have a plastic lining that releases BPA when heated prior to sealing. Another way to limit BPA is to favor fresh and frozen items. See below to get more ideas for BPA-free substitutions.
