A video tribute I made for my father, Brooks H. Grimme, who died of mucosal melanoma cancer on January 2, 2009. This is his story, from his childhood, the US Navy during WWII, and his professional career as a NASA engineer and scientist, working as part of Werner von Braun's team of rocket scientists at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. There, my father devoped and desinged the guidance systems used by the missiles & rockets for both the manned and unmanned space flights, for which he still owns 4 patents.

Steve Sage - "Fight For Your Love" (Promo) *******www.stevesagemusic**** Lyrics: You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta fight for your love You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta fight for your love I was thrown into the world as a living sinner having macaroni and cheese or soup for dinner hardly knowing what it's like to have a harmonious home when everywhere that you turned has left you out in the cold when I was 15, my mother died, when I was 17, my father died yet many wonder why I never cry you see the suffering and tragedy between the lines I feel the misery and agony at sunrise Nobody thought that it would be so wrong until you wake up, and witness all your loved ones gone even the bible won't prepare you for what's happening in real life cause when it's all said and done, this is real strife Believer of pain, the fact that remains, is that it's hard to keep a smile when you're feeling the rain I never asked for any of this, but as I'm here, you'll see me standing tall while pumpin my fists You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta fight for your love You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta fight for your love And now I'm growing older, still grasping the meaning being sober addicted to drugs and thinking happiness was over until I realized, a lot of time was wasted just to care how I would look in front of others eyes so it seems that women want what's in my hand instead of accepting me as a man I understand, being supportive is a part of the plan, but a real woman's a woman who respects me for who I am so I'm not gonna give up, let the ship set sail, while every jealous enemy would rather see me in jail from the cars, to the home, to the jewelery, to the clothes, to the things that a dreamer dreams of with nothing to show as I keep movin' and pressing on, whether friends are dead and gone, this is all I live for, answering the crying calls cuz in a time where we apathetically crawl, I'll empathetically mourn, till a miracle is born You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta fight for your love You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta fight for your love As the song is at its close ponder what the stars show reflecting only truth into this broken hard road only a few strike gold while all the rest are lost souls facing the challenges only the cowards oppose suppose, you only had one minute to live would you sit and reminisce about the beautful gifts given, or would you regret, every second you spent, owing the devil your debt so out of an utmost respect I fight for the future, I will fight for the truth, I will fight for prosperity, and fight for the youth I will fight my vision, I will fight for a dream, I fight against war, and I will fight for peace I will fight for my mother, I will for my father, I will fight till we completely honestly honor each other I will fight to keep the music within all of our hearts, so I will fight for our love You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta fight for your love You gotta fight for your love, a belief in your tears this is what you gotta do, to defeat all your fears From the bottom of my heart is truly where I'm comin' from You gotta ...

Do you have assurance in your salvation? I must say - I had to sing this song only because God allowed my uncle to sing this at a surprise 78th birthday party for my father that my siblings and I put together last year. I really had a strong sense of knowing that my father wouldn't be with us much longer and decided to ask my brothers and sisters help me put this together. He didn't want to go, but we got him there and he was totally surprised. This song simply is telling believers that we we should know for a fact that we will be praising our Savior all the day long - and it brings me so much jot to know that my father is no longer here struggling trying to breath with the help of wearing oxygen 24/7 and free from all of his pain. He is PRAISING OUR SAVIOR - and I will see him again one day!

Welcome to Vietnam!!! Tell me about this name so strange and difficult to pronounce That I carry since I was born. Tell me about the ancient empire and the feature of my “attached eyes” Which say better than me what you don’t dare saying. Of you I only know images of the war, a film of Coppola, [and] helicopters in anger... One day, I will go there to say hello to your soul. One day, I will go there to say hello to you, Vietnam. Tell me about the color of my skin, my hair and my small feet, Which carry me since I was born. Tell me about your house, your street, tell me about this unknown, The floating markets and the wood sampans. Of you I only know images of the war, a film of Coppola, [and] helicopters in anger... One day, I will go there, to say hello to my soul. One day, I will go there, to say hello to you, Vietnam. Temples and stone Buddhas for my fathers Curved women in the rice plantations for my mothers In the prayer, in the light, retrieve my brothers, Touch my heart, my roots, my land... One day, I will go there to say hello to my soul. One day, I will go there to say hello to you, Vietnam. *******ablogz****

After five years, the situation for Cuban Americans has not changed much. Under the Clinton Administration and with the collaboration of the U.S. media, the situation has gotten worse, as the Elian Gonzalez affair demonstrates. But there is a new generation of Cuban Americans born and educated in the U.S. Through their families, they are fully aware of the realities of life in Cuba. This new generation is aware of the misinformation and deceptive ways of the U.S. media reports on their parents' homeland. Triggered by the injustices committed by the Clinton administration against Elian and his U.S. relatives, this new generation became politically active and determined to fight for the same ideals as their ancestors - to bring back justice, freedom and democracy to Cuba as a tribute to their parents. One of them says, "I'd like to fight for my father." And they are taking the torch.
