*******ruggachick****/ RUGBY: SUPER 14 2010 Highlights Week 1 Sharks vs Crusaders We kicked off the weekend with the Sharks and the Crusaders. All Blacks Captain Richie Macaw makes his return to the Crusaders, whilst the Sharks Captain John Smith spent most of his time in the blood bin. It went all wrong for the Sharks! A high tackle on Carter landed them in trouble and Dan just punished them with his famous boot, claiming the Win for the Crusaders. Stormers vs Brumbies At Newlands the Stormers seemed to go of their rails a bit by not sticking to their game plan. They played badly and all those knock on’s and dropped passes cost them the game. Pietersen and Giteau had a good kicking contest, but with Giteau dominating and the adding try from Smith clinched the victory for the Brumbies . Hurricanes vs Lions Oh no the Lions could’t succeed again they were simply outplayed and outscored by the Hurricanes in Wellington. The Hurricanes picked up a yellow card though, but it didn’t stop them to ease past the Lions and walk away with a win and a bonus point. Reds vs Blues The Reds just couldn’t make it two in a row. Their new “free” playing style just wasn’t good enough to hold off the Blues. Stehpen Brett had a fantastic game, but in the end the late try from Wulf sealed the deal for the Blues. Force vs Chiefs It’s was interesting to see what the Chiefs would come up with after all those yellow cards last week, but No worries the Chiefs are on a roll, smashing the Force in Perth. The Force on the other hand are in trouble, suffering their third straight loss! Cheetahs vs Highlanders The Ceetahs struggled to get a back to back win. In Bloemfontein the Highlanders brought them a game and with both teams scoring some excellent tries, the Highlanders walk away with the win. Bulls vs Waratahs The last game of the weekend was at Loftus and the atmosphere in the stadium was electric. The home side was caught of side with the Waratahs scoring two quick tries in the first 10 min. The Bulls had the home crowd behind them and managed to bounce back picking up 4 tries and yet another bonus point. They are quite unstoppable as they cling on to that top spot of log. I was at Loftus and caught up with a proud Blue Bull fan.

*******ruggachick****/ RUGBY: SUPER 14 2010 review Round 8 Hurricanes 26 vs Crusaders 26 We kicked off round 8 with an INTENSE game between the Crusaders and the Hurricanes. The Crusaders kicked off with a bang and Carter reached his 1000 points in super rugby, but then all hell broke loose. The Crusader’s point master had an off day and boy did that affect them. The Canes came out like a house on fire in the 2nd half and defended superbly until they lost concentration in extra time. Carter missed the final conversion, heard right he missed and the game ended up being a draw. Force 16 vs Stormers 15 I am still in Shock about the Force winning their 1st game this season against the Stormers who happens to be 2nd on the log. Wow! That was amazing, well done mates. After David Hill put that drop goal through the posts, the Force celebrated like they won the world cup and even taking a victory lap. The Stormers were not quite in the game and they just seemed lost on the field, I wonder.... Could Jet-lag be a good excuse? Blues 32 vs Bulls 17 The bulls played f#beep terrible , what the hell happened to them. The blues slammed them with a walkover. “G”! Good bye year winning streak for the Bulls they just threw that right out the window!! The Blue’s completely frustrated the Bulls ...and the Bulls just couldn’t deal with it, giving away penalties, picking up two yellow cards and they seemed to forget about their game plan, if they ever had one. Brett seemed to have the magic for the Blues and after 80 min it was a well deserved win. Chiefs 27 vs Highlanders 21 The Highlanders came out strong against the Chiefs taking the lead into halftime. the 2nd half proved to be extremely entertaining with A huge head to head clash. Donald was on a roll for the Chiefs!! Thanks to his hard efforts they managed to pick up their 1st win at home this season. Well done guys... it’s about time!! Waratahs 40 vs Cheetahs 17 The Cheetahs are seriously battling! Not only did they loose star player Heinrich Brussow but they are now on tour without their inspirational captain Juan Smith, it seems to be going down hill for them ..It has to be said loud and clear here that The Tahs are on a roll! they played with such class and style picking up a bonus point and snatching the nr 1 spot on the log away from the Bulls. The Tahs are playing SUPERB rugby Sharks 30 vs Reds 28 I expected the last game of the weekend between the Sharks and the Reds to be harsh, and a thriller it was. Shark supporters were infuriated with the referee... perhaps missing the fact that The Reds were ON FIRE! Cooper was all over the place managing to secure two valuable bonus points. The Sharks defense was solid with an amazing 94 tackles... JUST clinching the victory.

This past weekend I visited some friends in Texas. The reason I bring this up, is that these folks are very worldly and very smart. During my visit, the conversation naturally turned to the market and what is going on. Here is what I took away with me when I left Texas: There are a lot of very nervous people in the market. I think this nervousness has been obvious in much of the market action, and it is not likely to go away anytime soon. One of the great things about our "Trade Triangle" technology is that it both takes emotion out of the market and gives you a game plan to be successful. In this short video you will see exactly what I mean. We're always interested in your views and comments and encourage you to visit our blog to let us know what you think. "Same stroke, different clubs." George Lopez came to support the Ann and George Lopez foundation this past Sunday for the PaddleJam Tournament which benefited multiple non-profits including Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and Equality CA. George Lopez told Carbonated.TV that the cause was dear to his heart because underwent a kidney transplant years ago and received a kidney from his wife Ann Lopez. At the time of the tournament, George seemed a bit despondent from his usual peppy self later to find out he was divorcing his wife the next day. Either way, the Lopez Tonight host brought his "A" game and came to "paddle it out" for a good cause despite the circumstance of his personal life. George admitted to Carbonated TV that he's a golf man thick and through, but he figures this whole table tennis thing requires the same arm movement, just a different club. His game strategy? To let the better man of his two person team hog the ball. And considering NBC star Greg Grunberg is a ping pong pro, looks like the game plan has already been determined. *******

Balochistan, October 11: In early 2005 Islamabad invited disillusioned Baloch leaders for a dialogue. But, as expected the ruling civil-military establishment deceived them. And while the Baloch leaders were talking to a 12-member parliamentary committee on Balochistan, several hundred Baloch political activists went missing. Today the regime may have changed… but Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani continues to follow the same game plan and has urged Baloch nationalist leaders to hold talks with the government to clear existing grievances. The Gilani-Mengal summit has initiated what seems is an effort to create a division between the Mengals, who lead the biggest nationalist political party, and the Marris, who presumably head the armed struggle.

BY BRICE SANDER ANCHOR ANA COMPAIN-ROMERO You're watching multisource business news analysis from Newsy. Three strikes and you’re out. That’s the message Major League Baseball’s sending to L.A. Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. After seven years as owner of the Dodgers, Major League Baseball chairman Bud Selig forced out McCourt as the team’s owner. (CNN) So what gives? Personal drama- a bitter divorce from McCourt’s wife, the team’s co-owner, led to McCourt’s demise. Los Angeles’ KABC explains. “According to court records, McCourt has debts exceeding $600 million. Last year, Forbes valued the team at $727 million. Compared to the stability of the O’Malley ownership for 48 years, it’s hard to believe the strong and proud franchise has ended up this way.” The team is technically in compliance with all of baseball’s financial rules, so rumor has it McCourt isn’t happy and plans to sue. But a writer for NBC Sports says, fat chance. “My understanding of the matter — and someone, please, tell me if I’m off base here — is that Selig can basically do anything with a team and its owner … as long as he has the support of 3/4 of the other owners … For him to have taken over the Dodgers means that he almost certainly has the backing of baseball’s other owners.” As for what’s next for the team? Many are saying -- Get McCourt out ASAP. ESPN Magazine’s Molly Knight runs through the Dodgers’ game plan on SportsCenter. MOLLY KNIGHT: “I don’t think we’re going to see Frank McCourt at Dodger Stadium for very much longer. Currently, he’s still in charge – I mean he’s still the owner of the team and figurehead. But, Bud Selig is sending an emissary out sometime this week. We don’t know who it is, yet, but we know that they’ll be in the stadium in the next couple of days, and that person’s going to take control of day-to-day operations. So there will be no signings, no trades, nothing like that without his approval.” Bloomberg’s Scott Soshnick defends the league’s decision, saying this isn’t the first time it’s had to step in. SCOTT SOSHNICK: “Yeah, maybe this should be the barbarians not at the gate, but at the turnstile, because they’re so highly leveraged. And we’re seeing that a lot in sports these days- baseball took over in the sale of the Texas Rangers when Thomas Hicks when leveraged in a team as well. So they do not want some sort of debt ratio that gets out of hand here.” This news breaks just weeks after McCourt brushed off a Giants fan’s beating at Dodger Stadium. A blogger for ESPN Los Angeles argues that was a final straw, for both fans and the org. “I've been a passionate skeptic of fan boycotts, but even I have to concede that there was a statement being made here. More and more people just didn't want any part of this … It's been people on their own coming to the conclusion that life was too short to waste on a franchise in this condition.” McCourt tried to salvage his stake in the team through a $30 million partnership with Fox, who broadcasts the games. But since it was a personal loan, no such luck. McCourt’s successor should be announced in the next few days. BY ALLIE SPILLYARDS You're watching multisource politics news analysis from Newsy. It’s been called America’s third war- but is the battle in Libya already at a standstill? Three high-profile lawmakers from the Senate Armed Services Committee dominated the Sunday morning talk shows saying the U.S. needs to step up. JOHN MCCAIN: “ This is a pretty bloody situation and it has the earmarks of being a stalemate.” JOE LIEBERMAN: “Every time we pull back it says to Ghaddafi that he can tough this out.” LINDSEY GRAHAM: “My recommendation to NATO and the administration is to cut the head of the snake off.” A panel on CNN’s State of the Union agreed with the senators. Retired General George Joulwan told CNN’s Candy Crowley the U.S. and NATO need a game plan in the ongoing war against Muammar Gaddafi. “I’m not sure the political objectives both by NATO and the United States are clear. That’s going to take some political work by the United States and NATO." Politico’s Josh Gerstein and Meredith Shiner note the allies originally avoided an aggressive attack on Gaddafi to prevent criticism. But now, it could backfire. “While Obama and other leaders have called for Qadhafi to step down, forcing him out is not one of the stated objectives of the military campaign, which is aimed at preventing attacks on civilians... Now critics see a stalemate producing a similar, slow-motion humanitarian crisis that could linger for months.” But according to the conservative blog American Thinker, perhaps critics are being too quick to judge. Last week the Obama administration announced the commitment of predator drones over Libya -- and analysts say the president is reluctantly joining the offensive. “It would be just like Obama to quietly rejoin the NATO air campaign against Gaddafi's forces after telling the American people that we would let the French lead the effort.” But the Tripoli Post cites Obama’s reasons for hesitancy, saying he’s keeping the past in mind. “Obama himself admitted that in Iraq, ‘regime change…took eight years, thousands of American and Iraqi lives, and nearly $1 trillion. That is not something we can afford to repeat in Libya.’” And because of that, CNN’s Barbara Starr suggests the criticism won’t disappear anytime soon. “Expect the debate about the word stalemate for many days to come.” Follow Newsy_Videos on Twitter Get more multsource video news analysis from Newsy Transcript by Newsy

BY CHRISTINA HARTMAN AND ASHLEY CROCKETT ANCHOR CHRISTINA HARTMAN You're watching multisource U.S. news analysis from Newsy. With Osama bin Laden dead on President Obama’s watch -- do GOP candidates stand a chance in the 2012 election? It’s a question burning in the political blogosphere. The answer depends on who you ask. An ABC News/Washington Post poll out has the president’s job approval rating at 56 percent -- up eight points since January. The “bin Laden bump” might only temporarily boost the president’s ratings -- or it could mirror former President Clinton’s after the Oklahoma City bombing. The Hill explains there was a jump in Clinton’s ratings when he badly needed one -- and the same might happen for Obama. “He will forever be known as the president who nailed Osama bin Laden, and that’s no small thing.” Republicans and Democrats alike have publicly praised the president for the successful operation -- but GOP leaders say it won’t change the conversation in 2012 -- which they say will be all about the economy. The Washington Post’s Chris Cilizza tells MSNBC - they’re probably right. CHRIS CILIZZA: “People feel relieved that Osama bin Laden is no longer with us and this helps solidify the president on national security. Remember, that's been an attack Republicans have leveled against Democrats since 2001. This will help mitigate that for the president of the United States. So help at the margins. But not a fundamental change in what we'll be talking about.” And Bloomberg’s Al Hunt agrees - the bin Laden bump will be short-lived. “Oh, I think it will last about 17 hours and 8 minutes and maybe 44 seconds. ... They're very profound differences over taxes and medicare and deficits that exist between Republicans and Democrats. The history of these things is that there is a rather short shelf life to the transcending nature of foreign policy triumphs so I don't think this will be an exception.” Republicans have long sought to cast the president -- and Democrats as a whole -- as weak on national security. Most analysts suggest that’ll be a hard line to keep pushing going forward -- but The New York Times caught up with a GOP pollster who says -- not necessarily. “This is a significant accomplishment. There is absolutely no question about it... But the dynamic in terms of, what is the Obama Doctrine, are not necessarily the same thing. Now that this particular significant achievement has occurred, what does he do with it? Now where do we go from here?” Still - Politico’s Jonathan Martin suggests at the very least -- it’ll re-focus the Republicans’ game plan -- and require the establishment to stop “flirting with the fringe.” “In the span of 100 hours, the spectacle of a national discussion over President Barack Obama’s long-form birth certificate ... gave way to a moment of utmost seriousness... The hope among establishment Republicans is that the succession of events will trigger an end to what they see as the silly season...” 'Like' Newsy on Facebook for updates in your newsfeed Get more multisource video news analysis from Newsy.
