After a mean collector named Swindle cons him out of his most valuable baseball card, Griffin Bing must put together a band of misfits to break into Swindle's compound and recapture the card. There are many things standing in their way -- a menacing guard dog, a high-tech security system, a very secret hiding place, and their general inability to drive -- but Griffin and his team are going to get back what's rightfully his . . . even if hijinks ensue. This is Gordon Korman at his crowd-pleasing best, perfect for readers who like to hoot, howl, and heist.

GORDON REEVES "My name is Gordon Reeves, I'm from North Dublin, Ireland. And I don't know what I am. I'm not sure I even want to know what I am or what the type of music I make is called. But curiousity got the better of me. I even went as far as a dictionary for an anwser. Some people have called me a folk singer. Theres a million definitions of what a folk singer is and some of them very specific! But I couldn't say I fit into any of them. "Music which arises from the circumstances of the common man" - that is the closest one that gave me any real inclusion. Somewhere I read Louis Armstrong said "all music is folk music, leastwise I ain't never heard a horse sing." Those words sums up my feelings more than any other I could find. I was lucky enough to have the good fortune to meet a German on my travels who heard me play some songs and liked what he heard. This man, Frank Scheller is his name, offered me the invitation to come and record in his studio in Germany. To cut a long story short the results were my first album "live from the living room" in 2006. In 2008 I signed to the German label Tonetoaster and returned to the studio. My second album "the rising tide" will be released in spring 2009. I hope anyone who listens to these recordings will get something from them for their trouble. That's what I really think folk music is: sharing. Sharing thoughts, feelings, anger, love, life, death and everything in between. Yeah, I like the sound of that! So that suits me fine." *******www.myspace****/gordonreeves

Acoustic Compilation CD available to buy from Website. *******www.TheZodiacSessions**** *******www.myspace****/thezodiacsessions ***********/thezodiacsessions *******www.bebo****/thezodiacsessions Lisa McLaughlin playing "You Said", accompanied by Gordon Purdy on trumpet at The Zodiac Sessions open mic night, Dublin, Ireland. LISA MCLAUGHLIN Lisa McLaughlin is a singer and songwriter from Castelderg, Co. Tyrone, in the north of Ireland. She started to sing at the age of 9, recording herself on a little red tape-recorder, and started writing songs aged 15. The technology may have changed, but the intimate nature of Lisa's music remains the same. By turns tender and powerful, her performances are never anything less than intense. Whilst living in London, Lisa appeared several times at 'Unplugged' at Soho House, Le Garrick (Covent Garden), and The Electroacoustic Club at The Slaughtered Lamb. A personal highlight was performing for Peter O'Toole at the wrap party for the film Venus. Now back in Ireland, Lisa recently supported The Coronas in Derry, she will be playing the Belfast empire music Hall in October with Luan Parle and Rachell Austin. *******www.myspace****/lisamclaughlinmusic
