A weapon, arm, or armament is any device used with intent to inflict damage or harm to living beings, structures, or systems. Weapons are used to increase the efficacy and efficiency of activities such as hunting, crime, law enforcement, self-defense, and warfare. In a broader context, weapons may be construed to include anything used to gain a strategic, material or mental advantage over an adversary. While just about any ordinary objects such as sticks, stones, cars, or pencils can be used as weapons, many are expressly designed for the purpose – ranging from simple implements such as clubs, swords and guns, to complicated modern intercontinental ballistic missiles, biological and cyberweapons. Something that has been re-purposed, converted, or enhanced to become a weapon of war is termed weaponized, such as a weaponized virus or weaponized lasers The use of objects as weapons has been observed among chimpanzees, leading to speculation that early hominids first began to use weapons as early as five million years ago. However, this can not be confirmed using physical evidence because wooden clubs, spears, and unshaped stones would have left an ambiguous record. The earliest unambiguous weapons to be found are the Schöninger Spear: eight wooden throwing spears dated as being more than 300,000 years old. At the site of Nataruk in Turkana, Kenya, numerous human skeletons dating to 10,000 years ago may present evidence of major traumatic injuries to the head, neck, ribs, knees and hands, including obsidian projectiles still embedded in the bones, that might have been caused by arrows and clubs in the context of conflict between two hunter-gatherer groups,[8] but this interpretation of the evidence of warfare at Nataruk has been challenged Ancient weapons were evolutionary improvements of late neolithic implements, but then significant improvements in materials and crafting techniques created a series of revolutions in military RML broadly defines weapon in videos

When it comes to an infection caused by a virus, the treatment is a little difficult as viruses live inside the body’s cells. They are ‘protected’ or ‘immunized ’ from most of the medicines. There are few basic things that a patient suffering from such infection should keep in mind: Take adequate rest Keep yourself well hydrated Eat light food Wash your hands regularly to avoid infection spreading to others Unlike bacterial infections which can be treated with medicines/antibiotics, viral infections require either vaccinations to prevent them spreading at the first stage or antiviral drug to treat them. Vaccinations are usually the cheapest way to prevent virus led infections. It is also one of the most effective ways to counter such infections. Vaccinations are available for polio, mumps, rubella, measles among others. It is important to mention that vaccination has played a huge and instrumental role in eliminating diseases like smallpox, and reducing many other viral diseases to an extremely rare status. Another interesting thing to note is that infections cause by virus tend to resolve on their own, without any treatment. Till the time infection is present in the body, the treatment mostly focuses on providing relief to the symptoms one is experiencing such as fever, cold/cough, pain etc.

We all have seen a dog, cats and even lions to express their feeling of pleasure when someone rubs hand on their body and belly, but this is probably the first time you are going to see a snake doing that.

How to Use a Mala|beads with meaning A Mala is a string of beads that is used in meditation in order to count mantras or breaths. Malas are meant to ground the practice of meditation and recitation of mantras. Malas can also be used in ways other than meditation, like in divination. Having and using a mala can help expand your meditative and spiritual practice and help provide a calming structure. 1 Identify the guru bead. The guru bead, or mountain bead, generally hangs perpendicular to the counting beads. The guru bead is intended to be used as a place of rest and contemplation during meditations and mantra recitations. Guru beads can be connected to a tassel, made of different material than the counting beads, or have carvings and other ornamentation.[1] The guru bead will be where you begin and end your meditation or mantra recitation. 2 Place the mala in your right hand. The right hand is the traditional placement for malas as some cultures view the left hand as being impure. However, there are many other cultures and traditions that do not specify in which hand you need to place the mala. Consult the specific tradition you are practicing in if you are unsure of which hand you should place the mala.[2] If you are relatively new to meditation, or do not practice within a specific tradition, use whichever hand is most comfortable.

How to Live With Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a long-term illness that can be managed through medication and lifestyle changes. See a medical professional to develop a treatment plan that suits your needs. In addition to focusing on your physical health, develop a support system to help you handle all of the emotions that come with living with a chronic illness. 1 Do pursed-lip breathing. Breathe in through your nose for two seconds and purse your lips like you are about to blow out a candle. Breathe out slowly through your pursed lips. You should exhale for two or three times longer than you inhaled.[9] This technique slows down your breathing and keeps your airways open for longer. 2 Breathe from your diaphragm. Relax your shoulders and place one hand on your chest and one hand on your belly. Breathe in through your nose for two seconds. You should feel your belly rising as you inhale. Gently press your belly as you exhale. Pushing puts pressure on your diaphragm and helps you get air out.[10] Your diaphragm does not work as well when you have COPD. This technique is more difficult than pursed-lip breathing. Get help from a respiratory therapist or physical therapist when using this technique. 3 Rest when you are short of breath. Any time you feel short of breath, stop what you are doing. Sit down, relax your shoulders, and start doing pursed-lip breathing until you can catch your breath. You can resume your activity once you catch your breath.[11] Continue doing pursed-lip breathing when you resume your activities

How to Reduce Swollen Fingers|swollen finger remedy Swollen fingers may result from an injury or from edema, a common medical condition that causes excess fluid to be stored in various locations of the body, including the hands, feet, ankles and legs. Edema may be caused by pregnancy, medications or specific medical conditions, such kidney issues, lymphatic system complications or congestive heart failure. Here are some suggestions for reducing swollen fingers. 1 Understand that swelling can be caused by any number of scenarios. Knowing the medical reasons behind the swelling will help you plan a treatment for your swelling. Swelling caused by injury. Injury is one of the most common culprits. Liquids such as blood accumulate in the affected area, causing swelling. Treat an injury first by applying cold (this will constrict the blood vessels), then by applying heat[1] (this will help flush out the fluids). If your bruise or injury lasts longer than two weeks, symptoms get more severe or frequent, or signs of skin infection develop, talk to your doctor immediately. 2 Understand the other causes of swelling. These scenarios are also something to watch out for. Swelling caused by allergic reaction. When your body encounters something that it's allergic to, it released histamines into your bloodstream.[2] In order to reduce the swelling, you can take antihistamines. If you experience severe difficulty in breathing after an allergic reaction, consult a doctor immediately. Swelling caused by obesity
