gamblerstelevision.com Hello MMA fans this is Dana Ward here with a quick hitter from Ultimate Fighting. UFC’s next fight card “JACKSON VS. GRIFFIN” will take place Saturday July 5th from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Main Event will be the UFC Light Heavyweight Title Match as Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will defend his title against Forrest Griffin. Rampage has professional record of 28 wins and 6 losses and is making his second title defense. Jackson beat Chuck Lidell at UFC 71 in May of 2007 by TKO in less than 2 minutes to win the title. Rampage voiced confidence in recent interviews about fighting Griffin. The UFC Light Heavyweight champ felt the challenger would have problems in this fight due to his lack of chin and punching power commenting that his opponent’s main strength is his groundwork. Rampage is well known for his power slams and power punches. Forrest Griffin has a professional record of 15 wins and 4 losses with only 3 wins coming by way of KO or TKO. The challenger earned his title shot with a victory over Brazilian Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (ROO-ah) at UFC 76 by forcing Rua to submit to his rear naked choke. 7 of 15 victories by Griffin have come by submission.

gamblerstelevision.com Hello MMA fans this is Dana Ward here with a quick hitter from Elite XC. Elite XC’s next CBS fight card “Unfinished Business” is scheduled for Saturday July 26th from the Stockton Arena in Stockton, California. The Main Event of this nationally televised event will feature Elite XC World Middleweight Champion Robbie “Ruthless” Lawler squaring off with Scott “Hands of Steel” Smith for Lawler’s title. This is a rematch of their exciting bout on CBS back on May 31st of this year. In their first encounter, Lawler landed an accidental finger to the eye of challenger Smith impairing his vision and forcing the stoppage. A no-contest was the official result, as the fight failed to go at least 3 of the scheduled 5 rounds. Had it gone a minimum of 3 rounds, the judge’s scorecards would have determined an outcome. Both Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith sport freestyle fighting techniques, meaning each fighter has a combination of styles they can apply during their fights. Both fighters have punching power and high knockout ratio’s in their victories. Lawler’s professional record is 15,4 and 1 in 20 professional fights with 12 wins by way of knockout. The challenger Scott Smith is a veteran with 17 professional fights and sports a record of 13 and 4 with 11 wins by KO. This is the second telecast for CBS, which saw great ratings with their initial entry into mixed martial arts. Over 6-and-a-half-million viewers tuned into the Kimbo Slice TKO victory over James Thompson, making it the most watched MMA fight in history. Heavyweight Kimbo Slice will appear on the third scheduled CBS Elite XC telecast and it’s set for later this year. Oddsmakers have listed the Champion Robbie Lawler as the minus 250 favorite with Scott Smith the underdog at plus 200. That will do it for now. gamblerstelevision.com Tony T here with our “Rockstar” quick hitter for Saturday’s action. On HBO on Saturday night a fight in the Heavyweight division as Wladimir Klitschko will take on Tony Thompson for Klitschko’s IBF Heavyweight Title. Klitschko has won his last 8 fights in a row and is a huge favorite at –550 and Thompson coming back is +400. The over under round prop is 9 1/2. I believe in this fight Klitschko will be able to effectively get to Thompson. Thompson is a guy who doesn’t have the greatest footwork in the ring and he lacks speed with his punches. Thompson last fought Luan Krasniqi and Cliff Couser beating both men by TKO but the competition was not very impressive. Couser has lost 6 of his last 7 fights. Wladimir has been well schooled by Emanuel Steward in his career and the Ukrainian will be able to mount offense in this one. Klitschko’s hometown is in Hamburg Germany, which is the location for the fight. The fans will get what they want a convincing victory by their hometown hero. Very simple here Wladimir to win and under 9 ½ rounds. For sports coverage with a Vegas style keep your browser aimed at www.GamblersTelevision.com Tony T here with our “Rockstar” quick hitter from College Football. I really like a play here from College Football and it involves the winner from the Big 12 Conference this year in college football. The Oklahoma Sooners are loaded on both sides of the ball. Sam Bradford is an outstanding quarterback. He is coming off a freshman best 36 touchdown passes as the team ranked 5th in the nation in scoring averaging over 42 points per game. He has seniors to throw to in Juaquin Iglesias and Manuel Johnson. Their running game is solid with DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown. All 5 starters return on the offensive line for the Sooners. Auston English returns to the D line with his league leading 9 ½ sacks last season. The secondary has two capable seniors in Nic Harris and Lendy Holmes leading the unit. This Sooner team is going to be pretty darn good this season. They host Kansas, Texas Tech and Nebraska with Texas being a neutral site game. Texas returns only 6 starters on defense and gave up tons of yards through the air last season. Road games in conference are all winnable against Baylor, Oklahoma St, Kansas St and Texas A&M. All lower tier conference teams. No Missouri and Chase Daniels on the regular season schedule. Play on the Oklahoma Sooners to win the Big 12 Conference at +150. From http://GamblersTelevision.com Tony T breaks down sports Las Vegas Style and offers his quick hitter from Hasim Rahman vs James Toney Fox Sports Net Boxing contest in this edition of Tony Ts Sports Bets airing now on Gamblers Television. Tony T here with our “Rockstar” quick hitter for Wednesday’s action. On Fox Sports Net on Wednesday July 16th a fight in the Heavyweight division as Hasim Rahman will take on James Toney in a 12 round match up from Temecula California. Oddsmakers have set Rahman the –165 favorite with James Toney coming back at +135. This is a rematch of their fight on March of 2006 when they both fought to a draw. James Toney last fought over a year ago beating Danny Batchhelder but tested positive for steroids following the bout. Prior to his fight on May of 2007 he lost twice to Samuel Peters each by decision. Rahman has won his last 4 fights in a row and really is trying to fight his way to bigger fights. He will work hard in this fight and will be the aggressor in a fight that will most likely go the distance. Rahman will win the close rounds because he will be the busier fighter. Rahman is strong and has a good jab and his physical strength will carry him to victory over a James Toney who doesn’t seem very committed to the sport. Take Hasim Rahman at –175.

Hello MMA fans this is Dana Ward here with a quick hitter from Ultimate Fighting. Today we look at an exciting fight on the under card of Affliction “Banned” Saturday July 19th on Pay-per-view. A Fight in the heavyweight division as Andrei “The Pit Bull” Arlovski will battle “Big Ben” Rothwell. The Striker Arlovski is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion who back in February of 2005 at UFC 51 defeated Tim Sylvia by submission to earn the title. A mixed martial artist with great power and agility has spent his last 2 years fighting in the International Fight League. The IFL is the MMA promotion seen on Fox Sports Net since 2006. Rothwell has a professional record of 27 wins and 5 losses with 17 wins by way of knockout. Stocks declined in the face of persistently high oil prices and broad-based selling efforts ahead of the long weekend. Eight of the major economic sectors lost at least 1.0% this session. Crude oil prices rebounded from yesterday’s drop and weighed on early morning sentiment. The commodity closed $1.31 higher on the New York Mercantile Exchange, finishing the session at $132.12 per barrel. Crude has not finished lower for two consecutive sessions since the beginning of May. Investor pessimism persisted in the face of positive earnings announcements from retailers Gap (GPS 17.94, -0.35) and Aeropostale (ARO 32.67, -0.05). The pair announced after yesterday's close earnings results that surpassed the consensus earnings per share estimate. Meanwhile, department store Dillards (DDS 15.73, -0.63) reported this morning its first quarter net income slumped during the most recent quarter. Brewers (+6.4%) performed exceptionally well in the face of the session’s broad-based selling. A report from FT Alphaville indicating Belgium beverage company InBev is interested in acquiring Anheuser-Busch (BUD 56.61, +4.03) helped give the group a lift. Tech heavyweight Apple (AAPL 181.17, +4.12) helped the Nasdaq 100 (-0.3%) outperform the major indices on a relative basis. Apple had its price target elevated and was added to a buy list at a pair of Wall Street’s leading investment banks. Separately, existing home sales for April declined 1.0% month-over-month to an annualized rate of 4.89 million units, according to the National Association of Realtors. Economists were expecting April sales to decline 1.6% from the prior month’s annualized sales rate. The bearish bias has been prevalent for much of the week, with nine of the economic sectors posting a loss week-to-date. Financials have been hit the hardest with a drop of 6.0%, while the utilities sector is outperforming as it holds a slight 0.1% gain. The S&P 500 as a whole is down 3.5%, marking its worst week since the beginning of February. 2008-05-23 13:00 ET Dow -156.00 Dow Close 12469.62 Nasdaq -31.64 Nasdaq Close 2432.94 S&P -20.34 S&P Close 1374.01 NYAdv 714 NYDec 2286 NQAdv 766 NQDec 1959 [BRIEFING.COM] Friday's pessimistic tone has been evident since the start of the session. The S&P 500 is currently down almost 1.2% as market participants find little to motivate buying. A rebound in crude oil prices weighed on early trading. Oil prices climbed more than 2.0% this morning, but are now trading hands near the unchanged mark. Not since the beginning of May has crude been able to close lower for two consecutive sessions. Reports from the retail sector have dominated earnings news. Gap (GPS 18.02, -0.27) announced after yesterday's close earnings results that bested the consensus earnings per share estimate. Still, its shares have encountered selling efforts. Fellow retailer Aeropostale (ARO 32.40, -0.32) also announced a positive earnings surprise, but disappointed some investors with a tepid outlook. Meanwhile, department store Dillard's (DDS 15.86, -0.50) continues to struggle in the face of strong macro headwinds. Dillard’s reported this morning its first quarter net income plummeted. Notably, the department store industry (-3.3%) is underperforming this session.
