Xevious Resurrection review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Xevious Resurrection from Namco Bandai for Playstation 3. Xevious returns like the school bully, ready to beat you up again and take your lunch money. This is a remake of the original game, updating the graphics but keeping the gameplay, as frustrating as it can be. You have to alternate your shots between missiles and bombs, focusing on two separate planes. All the while, shots are coming at you from every direction. This is Xevious and this is challenging. All this is kept the same, but the graphics and visuals have been completely revamped. Although Xevious never really needed it, Xevious Resurrection brings the game up to date and redoes it wonderfully. This video review features video gameplay footage of Xevious Resurrection for Playstation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Ryan.

The Sims 2 video review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of The Sims 2 from Maxis and Electronic Arts for the PlayStation 2. The Sims 2 is slightly different depending on the platform. This console version strips away things like death, pregnancy—the stuff that makes the PC game even more simmy. But it also has a few additions, as well. The Sims 2 made relationships more dynamic, as Sims can remember things. This sequel made changes both major (the new cooking system) and subtle (facial expressions and body language). It's a hectic, complex recreation of our hectic, complex lives. This video review features video gameplay footage of The Sims 2 for the PlayStation 2 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Game Boy Pocket review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts and mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room reviews the NINTENDO GAME BOY POCKET. The Gameboy Pocket does more than just fit in your pocket, it plays Game Boy games! Produced by Nintendo several years after the original, groundbreaking Nintendo Game Boy, the Game Boy Pocket is smaller, lighter, uses two AAA batteries and has a larger, better screen. The unit's smaller size makes it more portable and comfortable to play games on and is regarded as one of the best Game Boy models by fans. The Game Boy Pocket has two action buttons, a headphone jack, volume and contrast controls, link cable input and comes in a variety of colors. The model seen in the Classic Game Room review is clear plastic and shows the inner workings and the speaker that make the Game Boy Pocket work.

Brain Challenge review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Brain Challenge from Gameloft and Ubisoft for Playstation Portable. You always see people going to the gym to workout their bodies, so why don't you see as many people working-out their minds? You can do that with Brain Challenge. With your own personal brain doctor, you play through a bunch of mini-games, all designed to work your mind, in either math, logic, visual, or memory. After your Daily Tests, you are given a brain percentage, which you can increase by preforming better on the tests. I don't know if the game will make you smarter, but it can't hurt. This video review features video gameplay footage of Brain Challenge for Playstation Portable and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Ryan.

Super Contra review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Super Contra for XBox Live Arcade. Stupid aliens. You thought you'd put them down in Contra, but NO. They're back. And chances are, you haven't really dealt with them on an arcade version. Just the home consoles, right? Well, the gulf between has never been so wide. This remake of Super Contra - not Super C, mind you, the original Arcade Super Contra - will destroy your soul with slow-moving bullets, swarms of hostiles, and the occasional top-down segment. Code? Pfft. No code for you. This video review features video gameplay footage of Super Contra for XBox 360 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

Primal Fears review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Primal Fears for PC developed by DnS Development and published by DnS Development. From the developers of Dead Horde comes Primal Fears. Both are games with fundamental aspects tied into old-school top-down shooters. Both are endeavors that don't attempt to innovate, which there is nothing wrong with setting out to attempt something that's been done before but in your own way. After that execution however, it stands out even more when the undertaking misses the status quo, which happens to be the case with Primal Fears. At its core Primal Fears is a rudimentary top-down shooter, you point in a direction and shoot at enemies. It has a thick, eerie atmosphere complimented by seamless multiplayer integration, but misfires on the gunplay and combat which should be the highest quality aspect of a shooter. As an idea and presentation, Primal Fear has some potential, but as far as run-n-guns are concerned, this one's shooting blanks and tripping over its own feet. This video review features video gameplay footage of Primal Fears for PC and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Steve.

WipEout HD Fury review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of WipEout HD Fury from SCE Studio Liverpool and SCEE for Playstation 3. WipEout HD was a great revival of the classic series. It had everything a fan could want with amazing graphics, super tight fast gameplay, and online multiplayer. So for the DLC, little was needed to be done. All they had to do was offer some more Wipeout. Instead, WipEout HD Fury brings so much additional content to the already great game. The game offers a new campaign, offering 80 new events to race in. These include new upgraded ships, 8 new tracks, and 3 new game types, all coming together to make Fury feel more like a new game instead of just DLC. There is so much offered it is almost impossible to not want to go back to the futuristic racing world of WipEout. This video review features video gameplay footage of WipEout HD Fury for Playstation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Ryan.

Centipede video review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Centipede from Tiger Electronics for the game****. Centipede was kind of a standout on a system that didn't have many, and its classic arcade gameplay is pretty much in tact. Centipede actually looks better than most game**** games due to its simplicity. It turns out the lesson was simple—don't push the game****, and the game**** wouldn't push you. Off a cliff. This video review features video gameplay footage of Centipede for the game**** and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
