Chorus………Election, election time x 2
1. There’s a dark cloud hangin’ over my country
It’s a dark cloud, far as I can see
To the right there’s Mc military
To the left there’s fast company
2. When you look once, you might see a hero
When you look twice, you might find a lie
Better look thrice if you love your country
3. Is it race, age or is it gender
Does the real truth even matter now
It is drowning in a sea of sound bites
All we hear are insults and vows
4. Do we not see this storm is raging
Have we not shed our blood for war
Shall we stand by our Constitution
Is our freedom worth voting for?
5. Did not Jesus say love your neighbor
judge her not with your heart or mind
So get out there and strut your values
It’s a circus, but not to vote’s a crime
Chorus x 3 and 1 ‘election time’
