Nobody else could make me happy No one could hurt me like you do You were the only one that mattered Then you were gone, love had moved on Left me alone thinking of you There was never any other You and I were created to be true Isn't it love that keeps us breathing? Isn't it love we're sent here for? Wasn't that love that we were feeling? Something baby Deep in our soul, deeper than we know Keeping me holding out for you There was never any question You'll be forever on my mind You and I, we were meant to be together True hearts in a world where love is dyin' I might as well have been dyin', we were apart When you came back I felt the beating of my heart You and I, there was never any question You'll be forever on my mind You and I, we were meant to be together You, it was always you, only you, yea baby Always you

Ashlee Patterson and Ryan Mendenhall sing a warm and tender version of When You Say Nothing At All. LDS/Mormon jokes included. This was performed for the BYU 208th Ward UN-Talent Show. I hope we proved ourselves worthy of the great Keating & Krauss.

Music celebrations are popping up all over the industry. Awards, announcements and reunions. Music news is coming up next! Hi everyone! Straight from Get-the-Daily-dot-com, I’m Dana Ward with all your music updates. Incase you haven’t heard – Fallout Boy’s Pete Wentz and Ashley Simpson announced their engagement just last week. While the tabloids have been reporting that the 23-year-old is pregnant, Wentz cleared the air and denied the rumors with a quick e-mail to M-T-V. The music mecca says Wentz wrote that the baby claims are crazy. Congrats to the couple. And another reason to celebrate… Those studly boys from New Kids on the Block released last week their first group pic in 15-years. The now-adult-KIDS announced a reunion tour filled with new and improved tracks. We’re hoping to catch a rendition of “Hangin’ Tough” somewhere along the way. Cheers to Joey, Danny, Jordan, Donnie and Jonathan! Awards shows are always a celebration too. The Country Music Television Awards aired live Monday night from the heartland of country: Nashville, Tennessee. The annual show was appropriately hosted this year by Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughter, Miley. The fan-voted production was jam-packed with fabulous musical performances by the 2-Cyruses, winners Alison Krauss and former Led-Zeppelin guy, Robert Plant, the nominated Keith Urban and a handful of other talented musicians. Even Snoop Dogg wore a cowboy hat to introduce Alan Jackson’s performance. As far as the actual awards go, the best music video of 0-8 – which is the award of the night – went to a young Taylor Swift for “Our Song.” The 18-year-old says she wrote the song in highschool for a talent show. LeeAnn Rimes and Bon Jovi’s “Nothin Better to Do” took home the collaborative video of the year. And you remember Kelly Pickler from American-Idol. She took home 3 awards and actually thanked A-I for launching her career. Some other country superstar winners include Brad Paisley, Rodney Carrington, Sugarland and Trace Adkins. For the winners breakdown, go to w-w-w-dot-C-M-T-dot-com. Thanks for watching Get-the-Daily-dot-com. I’m Dana Ward with all of the latest in the music world.

Trailer from the new AcuTab Ron Block banjo DVD - A Fresh Look At Bluegrass Banjo. This five minute clip gives a taste of what is included in the full video, which runs to nearly four hours on two DVDs. *******www.acutab****/artists/block/block.html There arent many banjos players more widely heard, or who have performed before more people, than Ron Block. Working with Alison Krauss & Union Station since 1991, Rons distinctive banjo sound has become nearly as much a part of the group sound as Alisons voice. Ron has taught in a limited number of worshops, but this is his first instructional DVD of any kind, offering a detailed look at his unique approach to the banjo. This 2 DVD release from AcuTab begins with Ron explaining how he learned, and what resources have been useful to him, plus how he looks at both left and right hand patterns. AcuTabs John Lawless leads him through a discussion of several topics, including tone production, Rons use of bends and chokes, how he arranges solos, and improvisation. Ron goes into great detail about his practice routine, showing examples of exercises and drills he uses to stay in shape. He also describes a number of guitar techniques and concepts which have informed his banjo playing, such as working within boxes, or blocks of frets, and learning to visualize and play scales and patterns both vertically and horizontally. The meat of the DVD is in the songs Ron teaches, which are played in a number of keys and tunings. Youll learn Cluck Old Hen, Tiny Broken Heart, Man Of Constant Sorrow, Ill Remember You Love In My Prayers, Everytime You Say Goodbye, Bright Sunny South, My Poor Old Heart and Smashville. Each song is played with a band before Ron breaks it down lick by lick, and then shown (medium and slow) in a split screen orientation. One benefit of the DVD format is the ability to offer alternate angles of the same shot, which we use on the various split screen presentations. The viewer can select among three different screen orientations while the DVD is playing. Two audio mixes are also available during the brief band sections: normal and banjo-heavy.
