MOTÖRHEAD Mastermind Lemmy Kilmister talking about his career, the success of MOTÖRHEAD and his autobiography "White Line Fever", which will be released as audiobook in german
Directors Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski explore the amazing life and career of heavy-metal pioneer and cultural icon Lemmy Kilmister, the life-force behind the enduring and influential band Motorhead.
Over more than four decades, the drug-fuelled, raspy-voiced Kilmister’s career has intersected with many of the touchstone moments in rock: he saw the Beatles at the Cavern, he served as a roadie for Jimi Hendrix, he mentored Sid Vicious and played in both Merseybeat and psychedelic rock bands before fusing punk and metal, thus providing the inspiration for Motorhead’s thrash metal.
Along the way, he forever inspired the likes of Dave Grohl, Slash and Metallica, all of whom appear in LEMMY, alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Copper and others.

Atomic Sunset is a rock'n'roll trio formed in 2003 in Belgrade, Serbia. Music roots vary from rawness of 50's Sun stuff to modern day rockers. The band combines rockabilly, surf, punk, swing and everything that takes to create unique and energetic modern rock'n'roll sound. They have been touring few times across Western Balkans.
Atomic Sunset is a brainchild of one of the world's best upright slap bassists Djordje Stijepovic (Deke Dickerson, Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmister, Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom, Scotty Moore band, Wanda Jackson). Accomplished guitarist Drazen Skaric (who was a co-leader of Havana Whisper with Djordje) is also a founding member of the band. The great recent addition is the drummer Atomic Alek (Soulfly, Bloodbath), well known for his long membership in one of the most famous Serbian rock bands Eyesburn.
If you dig Brian Setzer, Reverend Horton Heat and Living End, there's every chance you'll love this band!

"Born to lose - Live to win!" (Lemmy Kilmister)
Well here, babe, look at you, and you with someone else,
Turned out like all the others, leave me by myself,
That's how it works I guess, and you like all the rest
Guess I can handle it, if that's the way it is
'Cos I'm in love with rock 'n' roll, satisfies my soul
If that's how it has to be, I won't get mad
I got rock 'n' roll, to save me from the cold
And if that's all there is, it ain't so bad
Rock 'n' roll
I never been a one to have no steady girl,
I love the way I live, runnin' round the world
I like to fool around, love to tear 'em down
And if I leave, you love to miss me when I'm gone
I can't imagine growin' old with anyone
Marching to a different drum, I hear a different song
I swear I love 'em all, I don't care if they're small
I don't care if they're tall, love 'em anyway
A music video of Motörhead: 1916 from the album 1916. This song is composed by Lemmy Kilmister.
16 years old when I went to the war,
To fight for a land fit for heroes,
God on my side, and a gun in my hand,
Chasing my days down to zero,
And I marched and I fought and I bled and I died,
And I never did get any older,
But I knew at the time that a year in the line,
Is a long enough life for a soldier,
We all volunteered, and we wrote down our names,
And we added two years to our ages,
Eager for life and ahead of the game,
Ready for history's pages,
And we brawled and we fought and we whored 'til we stood,
Ten thousand shoulder to shoulder,
A thirst for the Hun, we were food for the gun,
And that's what you are when you're soldiers,
I heard my friend cry, and he sank to his knees,
Coughing blood as he screamed for his mother,
And I fell by his side, and that's how we died,
Clinging like kids to each other,
And I lay in the mud and the guts and the blood,
And I wept as his body grew colder,
And I called for my mother and she never came,
Though it wasn't my fault and I wasn't to blame,
The day not half over and ten thousand slain,
And now there's nobody remembers our names,
And that's how it is for a soldier.
Lemmy Kilmister - Vocal And Bass
Eddie Clarke - Guitar
Phil Taylor - Drums
If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man
You win some, lose some, It's all the same to me
The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say
I don't share your greed, the only card I need is
The Ace Of Spades
The Ace Of Spades
Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil,
Going with the flow, it's all a game to me,
Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you,
Double up or quit, double strake or split,
The Ace Of Spades
The Ace Of Spades
You know I born to lose, and gambling's made for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby,
I don't wanna live forever,
And don't forget the joker!
Pushing up the ante, I know you've got to see me,
Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again,
I see it in your eyes, take one look and die,
The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be,
The Ace Of Spades
The Ace Of Spades

„Motörhead ist nicht mein Job, sondern mein Leben!" Von wem sonst kann dieses Zitat wohl stammen außer Lemmy Kilmister?
In 1980, Motorhead released their fourth studio album Ace Of Spades. Loud, Fast and overwhelmingly heavy, Ace Of Spades would propel Motorhead into the ranks of Heavy Metals elite and 25 years later is still considered a benchmark album in its genre.
Motorheads inception came after bassist/singer and surprisingly vicars son Lemmy Kilmister was ousted for excessive drug use from legendary prog rockers Hawkwind in 1975. Taking the name from the last song he wrote for Hawkwind, Lemmy went off to form the band Motorhead. Shortly after releasing their self titled debut album, guitarist Fast Eddie Clarke joined the band, resulting in what would become the classic Motorhead line up of Lemmy(bass/vocals), Fast Eddie Clarke(guitar) and Philip Philthy Animal Taylor(drums).
Motorhead-Ace Of Spades Classic Album sees Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Philip Philthy Animal Taylor talk candidly about the writing and recording of the album and the goings on inside the Motorhead camp at the time. Watch Fast Eddie as he demonstrates how the riff for Ace Of Spades came about, and see the trio (with the help of modern technology) together on the same stage once again. Also featured are exclusive interviews with the likes of Slash (GunsnRoses/Velvet Revolver), Lars Ulrich (Metallica), Dave Brock (Hawkwind) and many more.
