BONNAROO 2010 FESTIVAL LINEUP "NEWS"
http://Funcactandinfo.blogspot.com BONNAROO 2010 FESTIVAL LINEUP "NEWS" The wait is over, jam band aficionados! The much anticipated lineup of the 2010 Bonnaroo festival, held each year in Manchester, Tenn., is slowly leaking out via Twitter, MySpace and Facebook in a "virtual event" organized by the festival's producers to drum up interest. Rolling Stone reports that the lineup, thus far, seems to consist of Phoenix, Weezer, the Flaming Lips (covering Dark Side of the Moon from start to finish), OK Go, guitarist Jeff Beck, John Fogerty, jazz combo Medeski Martin & Wood, slick '80s wannabes Chromeo w/ guest Daryl Hall, Punch Brothers, the Avett Brothers, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Isis, 311, Baroness, Blues Traveler, Bassnectar, Neon Indian, Black Keys, the Constellations, and Ingrid Michaelson. There's also an unconfirmed (but probably true) rumor that the Dave Matthews Band will perform at the jam fest. http://Funcactandinfo.blogspot.com

What do you get when you put the original karate kid, a two-time Super Bowl winner, a talk show host, model, and rapper together? Why, the new season of Dancing With the Stars of course.
It’s time to strap up those dancing shoes as the lineup for the 12th season of ABC's hit celebrity dancing show has finally been revealed.
Don’t expect too many changes, though - it appears ABC is sticking to the show’s winning formula. As E! Online reports, audiences will find.....
“The usual assortment of active and retired athletes, a rapper, a fresh-faced Disney Channel star and TV and film actors whose heydays were more than a few days ago, many of whom make you think twice and say to yourself, ‘I can't believe so-and-so is 60!’”
But is more of the same a good thing for ABC? The San Francisco Chronicle thinks otherwise-- predicting this season will be as forgettable as last year’s...
“...no one really drew me in. ... I have a feeling this year will be the same. The cast is filled with a bunch of people who not only don't interest me, but flat out turn me off.”
The cast -- which includes celebrities Kirstie Alley, Chris Jericho, and Kendra Wilkinson -- have some questioning - where are the stars?
If you find yourself having to Google some of the names - you’re not alone. Movie Line’s Christopher Rosen shares his frustrations.....
“It’s always easy to harp on Dancing With the Stars for having precious few stars, but this feels particularly egregious.”
But wait - wasn’t there supposed to be another star attached to the new season? Noticeably missing from the line up is Deleware Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell. The “I'm Not A Witch” politician -- who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. Senate in 2010 -- revealed that she would be lacing up her dancing shoes right now if her other projects were further along.
“I’m honored to have been invited to participate in one of the few uplifting TV shows out there. … Yet, for now, I have another challenge before me; to complete a book that tells the story of the 2010 election cycle with the dignity and respect it deserves.”
So with a lack luster cast - is anyone actually going to tune in? NBC believes these factors might actually help the show.
“[This] might sound like the recipe for the best season in the years - an end to the distractions and unfair advantages, a back - to - basics ballroom.”
Today goes on to say...
“For other ‘Dancing’ enthusiasts, it’s bound to be boring. Either way, the die is cast and viewers simply have to make the most of it of the good or bad situation."
With preparation for the new season in full swing - the stars agreed to sit down to answer a few burning questions.
Reporter - “How do you become likable on Dancing With the Stars?”
Kirstie Alley- “I don’t know. I can’t speak for everyone, but I think that we’re just here to try and not fall on our butts the first week.”
As the battle for the mirror ball begins March 21st on ABC, will these celebrities have what it takes to dance their way into the hearts of viewers? Weigh in in our comments section.
