One truly is a unique individual, not only as a musician and aspiring rapper, but also as an entrepreneur. His drive to make it in the music world goes hand in hand with his aspirations to succeed in the fashion industry as well. Young in age, One brings a fresh voice to music, because as he describes it, "Music is for everyone", an underlying theme that makes his music enjoyable for all ages, young and old. His abstract form of expression through both his music and his artwork is quickly gaining local support in his hometown of San Diego. One's passion for music not only inspires him, but sets him apart from others because he is quickly gaining recognition as a new voice in music by the results of his self-funded promotions. Up first, a dare dating back to St. Patrick’s Day 2000 has earned over 34-million-dollars while shaving the hair off of over 46-thousand heads. It’s called the St. BALDrick’s Foundation and it’s all in support of children with cancer. One local supporter, a children’s oncologist, had planned to be a part of this year’s volunteer event in his Washington hometown. But after being called into the line of duty in Iraq, Major Stephen Roberts organized an event for soldiers on base. Soldier after solider got their heads shaved to support the kids going through cancer back home, and although due to army regulations, women cannot sport shaved heads, they cheered on fellow soldiers and were able to give donations. According to Roberts, the donations are extremely helpful and he says they’ve helped the kids cancer lifetime survival rate increase to 80-percent...........

More than 38 million Americans planned to travel 50 miles or more during three day holiday weekends this this year, 84 percent of them by car. That's a lot of extra carbon emitting into the atmosphere during holiday weekends, so why not give mother nature the same break you're getting from work and stay local? Support local businesses, explore local nature sites near your home, or check out that local restaurant you've always wanted to try. Explore your own town as if you're just visiting for the first time, and your bound to discover something you never knew was there. Staying home will save you money on gas, lodging, food, and admission to all the attractions you'd visit on vacation. But more importantly, it will cut down on unnecessary carbon emissions. Enjoy your long weekend, just do it from home and you'll do a lot to help the environment. Check back here for more tips on how to be friendlier to the environment, right here on LivingGreenChannel.Com.
