Thrilling my heart with a pleasure unknown But dreams are only memories and hopes My heart aches in its sorrow of missing you As I anxiously wait for time to slowly pass For I do miss you when you are not with me My heart cries in its piteously empty loneliness Singer:Laura Pausini>heartfelt songs for those with broken heart:

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Desiderata Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

We spotted this two monkeys a week ago at 'Dewan Sri Pinang', a place that showcases artsy event such as symphony orchestra, live theatre, jazz jams, cultural dances and various art exhibitions throughout the year. Recently the surrounding inside the building has been reconstructed and they have brought in many animals such as small various birds, rabbits, lizards, peacocks and lastly monkeys. The cage for the monkeys is extremely small and there is obviously no space for such active animal. The cage dimension measured approximately 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide as you can see in the video above. There isn't any small gap of divider to separate humans from reaching them also. Anybody can stand very close to the animals and birds. This will eventually create stressful emotion on the animals especially from mischievous children behaviors. They shouldn't have been there in the first place if you ask me. They suppose to be free in the wilds, especially the monkeys and all the tiny birds. They don't belong in a small confine cages instead they suppose to be on trees or at a big botanical garden. Khairul has spoken to one of the gardeners and base on the conversation he had with him, the monkeys have been, in the confined small cage, for almost 6 months already. At first, there was only one, but due to the loneliness, they have brought in another one. I know some of the readers might think I am a bit weird or extreme by saying this, but I think they are like small kids in prison, same goes to all the small little birdies. Animals are not 'decoration'.

This absorbing vintage film explores the issue of cheating in school. John, a Student Council representative, is having trouble with algebra. He knows he has to maintain his good grades for his social status, so he gets his girlfriend Mary to allow him to copy from her answers on a test. Later, after he’s been caught, his fellow students come down on him hard, eventually punishing him by kicking him off the Student Council. What makes this film different from others of its ilk is the Film Noir quality that the film employs to heighten tension and fear. The characteristics of film noir are ever present. The beginning is quite dark and scary, with a young boy's loneliness, with many different close ups of a phone, faces, and disembodied voices. And of course, shadows and sharp angles are focused on with the stark black and white picture exploding off the screen. As this was part of the Discussion Problems in Group Living series, this film focuses not on what the adults do to John, but on what his peers think of his actions, and whether they will offer peer support or more peer pressure. This series of films was made specifically to stimulate discussion among young audiences who viewed it, instead of making rigid pronouncements about what is right or wrong. Cheating on tests in school is an ever growing issue and it's fascinating to see how cheating was perceived in the 1950's.

“What is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, man would die from a great loneliness of the spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts, soon happens to man” -Chief Seattle Populations: LIONS= 35,000 and going down. TIGERS= 4,000 and going down. HUMANS = 6,680,000,000 and going up. I wish we could split the planet in half and those that don’t care could have part and those of us who are willing to work and sacrifice to make the planet a better place for future generations could have ours. But life doesn’t work like that. Some would go to a great museum like the Field Museum and have a great time; I go and become more cynical  I find it interesting how we treat our wildlife. And see it as a reflection at times of how we treat each other. We tell the locals to protect the lion in Africa, meanwhile any westerner with enough money can trophy hunt it, or eat them in a fancy restaurant in America. The Tiger is endangered and finally seeing protection in India, yet still falls to poachers due to the Asian medicine market, or as we saw last year in Dallas, Texas can be owned as a pet (where they are not endangered) and shot and killed with little laws protecting it. Wildlife groups go to court using time and money to protect wildlife, as other agencies fight to get them taken off of list for various reasons. Wildlife conservation is a mess. The human situation is another mess, where just in my lifetime the population has doubled. Have we evolved twice as much, or are we twice as happy? I doubt it. The poor are having multiple children putting themselves in a bigger financial hole, and the wealthy go through resources like there’s no tomorrow. I see people complain about the environment as they load their super strollers holding four kids and one in each arm into their mini van.
