*******live.pirillo**** - For better or for worse, Windows works differently than OS X - and it's no wonder that Windows-trained users face a small amount of frustration when they work inside of OS X. I've scribbled this list for the benefit of Windows folks who have switched, are switching, or are thinking of making the switch.

*******live.pirillo**** - I often see my parents working on their computer. They will open a task, then close it. Open another... then close it. Many people don't realize that you can have several tasks open at once, and easily switch between them.

*******live.pirillo**** - A community member wrote in to ask how to completely zero out data on his Mac before upgrading to Leopard. Fortunately, this feature is built right into OS X. There's no need to install anything to completely get rid of files and folders.

*******live.pirillo**** - I haven't installed Boot Camp since I used the Beta version on the Mac Mini. Ponzi needs to use Windows on her MacBook Pro, so she can run various applications. Using Boot Camp allows you to either boot your Mac like an actual Windows machine, or boot to OS X.

*******live.pirillo**** - I've been using the dual 30" monitors with my Vista machine, hooked up with Dual Link DVI cables. Someone in chat suggested I use one of them for the MacBook Pro. With these new MBP's, it's quite easy. Just plug in one of the DVI cables, and off you go... or so I thought.

*******live.pirillo**** - Which Operating System is better? Is it OS X? What about Linux? Wait... don't forget BSD or Windows. The answer is, there IS no right answer. Yet, people still argue about it, and ask me every day which is best.

I've been holding off doing a show on iCal for a while now, but I'm glad I did. Leopard and the iPhone has brought a new lease of life to iCal, the calendar application included with Mac OS X. Under the hood, there's a ton of cool and really useful features that now make iCal a credible and reliable tool to help you plan, organise and share your busy schedule. In fact, there's so much stuff to cram in, I've had to split the show into two parts! In this first part, I cover: iCal User Interface Basics Creating and Managing Calendars Calendar Groups Creating and Editing Events Setting up Mail for iCal invitations Using Invitations to Setup Meetings Mail Integration Using Data Detectors in Mail Setting up To Dos via Mail Part 2 will be along shortly looking at some of the more advanced features of iCal. This weeks show is an Extra Members show and is available in Apple TV HD format (1280x720), Enhanced Desktop ED Format (960x540) and iPhone/iPod resolution (640x360).
