Be sure to watch in 720p HD for best quality. Sign the Sony petition: *******www.petitiononline****/mjbluray/ Part 2: ***********/watch?v=xoz12IG140s I have restored and uploaded Michael Jackson's "Ghosts" for educational purposes, to demonstrate how video can be vastly improved using commercially available (and in some cases free) software. I also upload this to protest the poor quality of the "Michael Jackson's Vision" DVD set released by Sony over a year ago. The set was supposed to contain fully restored and remastered versions of all of Michael Jackson's short films. Unfortunately, not a single one was restored. Sony, in effect, lied about the quality of the videos in that set. So, to demonstrate how easy it would be for Sony to clean up and preserve these national treasures, I have taken it upon myself to create my own restored versions of them. I do not upload this for profit, but for the purposes of education and criticism of Sony for their inferior "restored" versions of Michael Jackson's work. If you enjoy these restorations, please contact Sony and ask them to create a properly restored Blu-Ray set of all of Michael Jackson's short films. Be sure to ask them to create the new set from newly scanned high definition prints from the best available original elements. This will ensure the highest quality possible. Together, perhaps we can convince Sony that it is in their best interest to treat Michael Jackson's work with the respect it deserves. © 1997 Michael Jackson.

Eva Cassidy was a phenomenal American vocalist, arranger and guitarist who could and did sing a bit of everything; folk, blues, country, rock, r&b, standards, gospel and jazz. Eva was born February 2, 1963 and raised in Maryland. By the age of three, it was clear Eva had a natural talent for art as her drawings were remarkably different from most young children. Eva's musical abilities also emerged early. Eva's father began teaching her guitar at age nine and recalls Eva singing solo with her guitar by age ten. Over the years, Eva's art and music blossomed and greatly expanded. As an artist, Eva dabbled in a bit of everything; drawing, painting, cartooning, pottery and beadwork to name a few. As a musician, Eva played with a variety of people and bands but her musical talents and tastes were so broad, she befuddled the record companies who simply did not know how to market her. Several major record labels showed an interest in her, but by her early 30's, none had signed her. At the urging of her long-time friend and producer, Chris Biondo, Eva spent the money to record a live performance at Blues Alley in January 1996. Songs from this live performance can be seen on You Tube (two of which you can find in my Video Log). Every song she sang at that performance is incredibly beautiful, but Eva was not at all pleased with her delivery because of a cold she was suffering that night. Although terribly unhappy with the result of those recordings and at first refusing to have the album released, Eva finally relented and the album received great reviews in the Washington, D.C. area. The album and the actual video from that night are a national treasure. Six months after Eva's live performance at Blues Alley, she began experiencing hip pain which she initially dismissed, thinking it was a result of being on a ladder while painting murals. In July of 1996, Eva was diagnosed with cancer and given the prognosis of having only three months to live. In September, Eva attended a party thrown in her honor at The Bayou. At the party, Eva sang what was to be her last song in public. She choose "What a Wonderful World". There reportedly was not a dry eye in the place. On November 2, 1996 Eva Marie Cassidy passed away in her parent's home surrounded by friends and loved ones. Four years later, Eva's music was "discovered" in Britain. Posthumously released CDs have gone Gold and Platinum. While she is widely known in the UK, Eva is still relatively unknown in the United States. It is my hope that someday soon Eva Cassidy will be well known in her own country and that millions of people will enjoy her huge talent. I'll conclude with one of my favorite quotes about Eva, made by Bruce Lundvall, President of Blue Note Records. Of Eva he said: "She was a real artist, one of the great ones. She had the magic -- the thing that goes beyond being a really wonderful, creative artist. She had the touch of God on her head -- that touch of individuality and spirituality that made her stand out above all the others. She had that ... Herbie Hancock said it best to me. He said: 'You know there are good musicians in every field of music and there are some that are great, really great, but then there are those few who have that magic, that other dimension, that must come from God', and that's how I feel about Eva." To which I say, "Amen". As always, my heartfelt appreciation goes to Barbara and Hugh Cassidy for bringing Eva into our world and to Chris Biondo for believing in Eva and making it possible for us to still hear her. A comprehensive masterclass in Nouveau Shamanic™ acting courtesy of one of our favourite actors - Nicolas Cage. Love him or hate him (and we love him!), there's certainly never a dull moment. The hardest part about putting together this montage was having to miss out so many of his best scenes that don't involve dialogue, just odd noises and physical gestures! Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue Full Album Concert Full HD Kind of Blue is a studio album by American jazz musician Miles Davis, released August 17, 1959, on Columbia Records in the United States. High Quality Sound Audio FLAC Which Preserve Quality of Original Uncompressed Audio Sound Recording sessions for the album took place at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in New York City on March 2 and April 22, 1959. The sessions featured Davis's ensemble sextet, which consisted of pianist Bill Evans (Wynton Kelly on one track), drummer Jimmy Cobb, bassist Paul Chambers, and saxophonists John Coltrane and Julian "Cannonball" Adderley. After the entry of Bill Evans into his sextet, Davis followed up on the modal experimentations of Milestones (1958) and 1958 Miles (1958) by basing the album entirely on modality, in contrast to his earlier work with the hard bop style of jazz. Though precise figures have been disputed, Kind of Blue has been described by many music writers not only as Davis's best-selling album, but as the best-selling jazz record of all time. On October 7, 2008, it was certified quadruple platinum in sales by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). It has been regarded by many critics as the greatest jazz album of all time and Davis's masterpiece. The album's influence on music, including jazz, rock, and classical music, has led music writers to acknowledge it as one of the most influential albums ever made. In 2002, it was one of fifty recordings chosen that year by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. In 2003, the album was ranked number 12 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Accolades Kind of Blue has been cited by writers and music critics as the greatest jazz album of all time and has been ranked at or near the top of numerous "best album" lists in disparate genres. In 2002, Kind of Blue was one of 50 recordings chosen that year by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry. In selecting the album as number 12 on its list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, Rolling Stone magazine stated "This painterly masterpiece is one of the most important, influential and popular albums in jazz". On December 16, 2009, the United States House of Representatives passed a resolution honoring the fiftieth anniversary of Kind of Blue and "reaffirming jazz as a national treasure". It is included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, described by reviewer Seth Jacobson as "a genre-defining moment in twentieth-century music, period."
