Aside from a new nylon oxford shell fabric (it used to be dobby) The North Face McMurdo Parka still offers everything a parka should be for work and play in cold weather. That's probably why this garment ranks among the most successful in The North Face outerwear collection. The McMurdo features a waterproof, breathable, seam-sealed construction backed by warm 550-fill down and more pockets than you'll typically find on most winter outerwear. If fur isn't your thing, the faux trim can be easily removed along with the entire adjustable hood. Inside the McMurdo Parka you'll find two zippered security pockets and two pockets for water bottles. This North Face Parka is also electronics ready, so you can hook up to your work radio or MP3 music player without running a bunch of wires or leaving zippers agape. Fun aside, the McMurdo is one of the best-equipped parkas we've seen, and unless global warming eliminates winter, we won't have a bunch in stock for long. Waterproof and breathable 100% nylon oxford HyVent shell fabric 550-fill down insulation Smooth 50-denier 100% polyester plain weave fabric along lining is treated with a DWR finish Weatherproof seam-sealed construction Detachable hood with detachable fur trim Two vertical chest pockets with two horizontal chest pockets Two internal zippered security pockets and two internal water bottle pockets One sleeve pocket Integrated electronics acceptance system for radio or MP3 music player Small TNF logo on upper left chest 75.8 oz. Readily recognized as one of the most successful (and best selling) jackets in The North Face outerwear collection, the Boundary Triclimate Jacket offers exceptional technical versatility with a removable quilted Heatseeker Triclimate jacket that can be worn separately in mild weather. Three isn't a crowd when everything integrates as nicely as this Men's Boundary Triclimate Jacket from The North Face. It's a three-in-one jacket that can be worn as an insulated, waterproof and breathable winter jacket or you can take out the insulated Heatseeker Triclimate insert and wear the jacket as a shell on those damp camping and hiking trips. The fully adjustable hood can be removed so you can wear the jacket with your skiing, climbing or snowboarding helmet. Jackets made by other companies often tout similar features, but The North Face designed their Boundary Triclimate Jacket with the stuff you need and use (pit zips beneath the shell sleeves) and none of the stuff you can't already work around (no headphone ports or radio pocket). The North Face Boundary Triclimate Jacket is all about practical functionality with complete weather protection. That's probably the big reason why this do-it-all jacket remains one of the most successful jacket designs ever produced by The North Face. One more note--if you're looking for similar jackets for your outdoor-oriented family, The North Face offers Boundary Triclimates for women, boys and girls, but remember to check out the bullet point features because there are small differences in features and fabrics for each model. Waterproof and breathable, dual-ply 40-denier 1.47-oz. nylon taffeta HyVent nylon shell fabric fabric Warm and removable 100-gm. fleece Heatseeker Triclimate jacket Jacket can be worn three ways for variable climates and year-round versatility Dual hand pockets in front on shell, two more pockets on Heatseeker Triclimate jacket Two zippered Napoleon chest pocket on shell Removable (and fully adjustable) hood construction Brushed collar lining Internal pocket long left side of chest Pit zip vents beneath sleeves Shell has adjustable hem cinchcord and Velcro closures on cuffs with elastic for grip Removable quilted Heatseeker Triclimate has bound hem with hem cinchcord adjustment Zip-in cuff anchor slot inside Heatseeker Triclimate (there's a nice brushed collar lining, too) The North Face logo on both left chest of jacket and insert Weight: 45.9 oz. A great do-it-all fleece piece for any outdoor activity, the Men's Pumori Jacket from The North Face features midweight Polartec 200 Series fleece, making it ideal as a middle layer for skiing and as an outer layer for summer camping. If we had to make a list of indispensable items for year-round outdoor adventures, this Men's Pumori Jacket from The North Face would rank near the top. Some fleece is too thick for summer backpacking, other fleece is too thin for anything except middle layering, but the Pumori is just right with midweight Polartec 200 Series fleece. You can wear it as a middle layer in the winter (it is zip-in compatible and zips into other jackets made by The North Face--just remember to pick the same size) or wear it as outerwear on camping trips. The one thing that the Pumori Jacket doesn't have is the nylon reinforcement panels along the shoulders like the slightly heavier Denali Jackets by The North Face. That means that if you backpack or climb extensively with a pack, you may notice some pilling and wear along abrasion points beneath the straps. Midweight warmth Polartec 200 Series fleece Nylon reinforcement panel along the collar helps reduce pilling Standard (not relaxed) fit layers well beneath shells (and is zip-in compatible with some jackets made by The North Face) Two zippered hand pockets Comfortable elastic bound cuffs hold sleeves in place Hem cinchcord at waist to help seal out cold air TNF logo on upper left chest Weight: 24 oz. If you like fluffy fleece, you'll love the Women's Oso Hoodie from The North Face. It's made with an incredibly soft and dense TKA high-loft fleece fabric that feels great to the touch. The North Face added an elastic edging along the hood opening to keep any errant fluff off your face. If some foods are considered comfort food, incredibly soft outerwear like this Women's Oso Hoodie should be comfort wear. While The North Face classifies the Oso Hoodie as technical outerwear, it's a safe bet that this soft high loft fleece jacket will be seen everywhere off the mountain, too. The only place you won't find the warm fluffy fleece is along the elastic edging of the hood (it keeps the stuff off your face) and along the bound cuffs (ditto). The Oso Hoodie features two zippered hand pockets that are sized right for a wallet, cellular phone and GPS. We did pick up a bunch of these high-loft fleece jackets, but we know that we won't meet demand--grab yours in your favorite colors now. A popular choice for families who play outside throughout the year, The North Face Girl's Boundary Triclimate Jacket has a removable fleece Heatseeker Triclimate jacket for three-in-one versatility that can be worn almost any day of the year. It's waterproof, breathable and features a new removable hood construction that's perfect for safety-minded girls who ski, snowboard and climb while wearing a helmet. Families that ski and snowboard together tend to stay out of the warming huts longer when their kids have great outdoor gear like this Girl's Boundary Triclimate Jacket from The North Face. It's a three-in-one jacket that can be worn as an insulated, waterproof and breathable winter jacket or you can take out the insulated Heatseeker Triclimate insert and wear the jacket as a shell on those damp camping and hiking trips. This design remains popular with families who tend to focus on the more technical side of outdoor recreation, but this version features a new durable Palisade 4.1 HyVent nylon fabric (still waterproof and moderately breathable) and the hood can be removed for better versatility (especially if your kid wears a helmet. Unlike some removable liners that look like something skinned and discarded from a fleece rendering plant, the Heatseeker Triclimate insert in the Boundary Triclimate Jacket is lean and looks clean, so it can be worn as a warm insulating piece throughout the spring and fall. The North Face: Insulated with quality 550-fill down fibers, The North Face Girl's Furallure Jacket is an ideal choice for ski school and chilly winter trips to distant resorts. The North Face used 550-fill down insulation to give it a little less weight and more mobility than the Women's Furallure Jacket, but most of the features are exactly the same as the adult-sized Furallure. You'll find that you can adjust the hood to fit over a range of helmets. Also, inside you'll find an internal media pocket that's proportioned just right for most portable MP3 and all iPod music players. The cut is tapered slightly down the torso for a flattering profile, but the Furallure comfortably wraps around an assortment of layered fleece and other winter clothing. * Soft and highly water resistant satin faille HyVent dual-ply shell fabric * Quality 550-fill down insulation Faux fur lining around attached hood. * Hood features adjustments to cinch down close in cold weather. * Two zippered hand pockets in front * Internal media player pocket fits most MP3 and all iPod designs * Rib cuffs and hem help seal in warmth * TNF logo on left chest

Sure, we classified The North Face Boundary 200 HV boot as a hiking boot, but this insulated footwear is also made for snowshoeing and snowbound urban commutes. It's insulated with 200 gm. PrimaLoft insulation and protected by a waterproof and breathable HyVent membrane. Unless you're an ace at the Napoleon Dynamite dance routine, it's a fair bet that moon boots are probably not your pick this season. Luckily The North Face considered you and half a billion other fashion-aware guys when they designed their insulated Boundary 200 HV Hiking Boot. Beneath the quality waterproof suede upper are a waterproof and breathable HyVent membrane and plenty of warm 200 gm. PrimaLoft insulation. As the name suggests, the Boundary 200 HV Hiking Boot is a hiking boot and features snowshoe compatible molded heel counters, but this boot is too good to leave at home during snowy commutes and 50-yardline seats at a December playoff game. Inside you'll find an ergonomic, dual-density X-2 footbed treated with an AgION antimicrobial finish to reduce odors--just in case you secretly practice dancing to Jamiroquai songs in your spare time. Great for covering long distances in summer heat and high humidity, the Arnuva 50 Boa Running Shoes have a Boa multi-adjust lacing system that gives you the freedom to quickly and accurately modify the fit on your shoes without pressure points or the hassles of re-lacing prior to racing Going the ultra distance just got a little more comfortable thanks to these Arnuva 50 Boa Running Shoes from The North Face. Most running shoes opt for laces and various versions of cordlocks, but The North Face Arnuva 50 Boa Running shoe uses a thoughtfully engineered Boa system that allows for minute adjustments for optimal closure over your foot just the way you like it and every time that you run. The Boa offers a special suspension system that allows you to dial in the fit so you never have to deal with pressure points or re-lacing your shoes to get the same fit you had the last time you ran. This fit feature might not matter to runners who stick to the 5K fun runs, but if you're into ultramarathons the consistent comfort and micro-adjustment options mean that you have one less thing to worry about. The Arnuva has a mesh and Nubuck leather upper that makes the shoe far lighter and more breathable than other shoes like The North Face Endurus XCR Boa Running Shoe, but this extra venting can make the Arnuva 50 less desirable in damp weather conditions. You'll also find a lighter TPU injection saddle and rear foot compression cage that saves weight but doesn't offer the same degree of over-pronation protection found in shoes with the TNF Roll Control medial heel wedge (mild pronation issues shouldn't be a problem). The X-2 polymer damping compound throughout the heel and forefoot do a nice job of absorbing footstrike impact, especially if you're covering miles of asphalt and unyielding concrete. If you're looking for a good shoe for summer marathons or a real triathlon, the Arnuva 50 Boa Running Shoe is a great choice, especially if you're covering plenty of distance in high heat and humidity. Rugged and highly abrasion resistant synthetic Nubuck leather and breathable sandwich mesh material throughout upper Revolutionary Boa multi-adjust lacing system for pressure-free performance and fit Contoured and ergonomic Northotic multi-density footbed treated with an AgION antimicrobial covering Lightweight, compression-molded EVA midsole with X-2 polymer dampening compounds in heel and forefoot Comfortable Sure Grip heel lining helps minimize heel slip and friction inside shoe Rear foot compression cage offers support for mild pronators Tenacious Grip rubber outsole (exclusive to The North Face) Weight: 1 lb. 9 oz. Competitive trail running enthusiasts rarely mention The North Face among their top running shoe brands, but that will change this season with the arrival of The North Face Endurus XCR Boa Running Shoe. This fit feature might not matter to 5K recreational runners, but if you go far on the trails, the consistent comfort and micro-adjustment options mean that you have one less thing to worry about while making time on challenging alpine or woodland trails. Like other high-end trail running shoes from The North Face, the Endurus XCR Boa Running Shoe features a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex XCR membrane that makes this shoe essential for cool and damp weather throughout the fall, winter and spring seasons. A Roll Control medial heel wedge inside the midsole reduces over-pronation risks. The combination of the large Heel X-2 O2 air pod in the heel and blown rubber crash pad in the forefoot help minimize the shock of long runs down the backside of the mountain. The North Face also reinforced the design with an injection-molded TPU shank plate for increased stability and support on uneven trail surfaces. Find out what others will learn after reaching the finish line--The North Face Endurus XCR Boa Running Shoe is a new breed of technical running shoe that raises the bar and expectations of competitive runners everywhere.
