Literally going where no spacecraft has gone before, NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander will visit the north polar region of Mars. Scientists hope that these chilly, isolated plains will give up secrets frozen in shallow underground layers of water ice. With its sophisticated suite of laboratory instruments, Phoenix will determine whether this region of Mars could have ever been hospitable to life.
I've heard that the volcanic crater resembles the the surface of mars. Sure enough, it does.

The Times of London said, NASA scientists have been puzzled by the peculiarly life-like image. NASA has made no comments on the matter.
The Sun thought it to be Gene Hunt, the sexist, drunken time-traveling detective on "Life on Mars,a BBC crime series.
"I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw what appears to be a naked alien running around on Mars," writes one blogger.
“Ah, the human eye can be tricked so easily.” NASA's robotic rovers landed on Mars in January 2004 to search the red planet for evidence of water and possible past life. One blogger sees a different benefit. “It’s definitely Big-foot," he writes. That's why we've not been able to find him on Earth

This robot was tasked to climb on vertical walls using four limbs that can shift its weight in order to stay balanced. It is believed that climbing robots which will be shown in this video might be the main key to uncover the geology of Mars. Now, the question is - will that ever happen?

NASA Mars Database Finally Exposed - The True Color of Mars
New Season premieres Nov 11, 2008 at 9pm/8c on HISTORY. From the planets to the stars and out to the edge of the unknown, history and science collide in this epic exploration of the Universe and its mysteries. It's a very old universe. Yet just 50 years since man first ventured into outer space, the heavens are yielding their greatest secrets. Robotic rovers give us eyes on the red rock of Mars--NASA probes slam into comets at hyper speed--deep-space telescopes capture violent images of the birth of stars and their collapse into black holes. All have significantly changed the way we see ourselves. We wonder, is there anywhere else out there that that can support life? Using cutting-edge computer graphics, this series brings the universe down to earth to show what life would be like on other planets, and to imagine what kind of life forms might evolve in alien atmospheres. Episodes examine how discoveries were made and the scientists and explorers who dared to venture into the uncharted territory of the universe.
Univ of AZ did me a favor by developing the Mars Photos I have used into High Resolution. They show NASA/JPL attempts to draw digitally on top of the Tiny Humanoids to make them look like the surface of Mars. However, they only ended up as phony attempts as the images were enlarged show.
