Classic Game Room reviews GODS EATER BURST for Sony PSP from Bandai Namco, Shift and D3. God Eater Burst is the sequel/US re-release of the ultra-popular Japanese smash hit on the PSP, God Eater. Play as a Next-Gen and hack and slash monsters with a giant swort that transforms into a gun and can also physically eat Aragami. In God Eater Burst you play through an awesome storyline as a new recruit in the fight against the plague of monsters that have destroyed Earth. Gods Eater Burst is like Monster Hunter meets Phantasy Star Portable 2 and some other hack and slash adventure games. Tons of fun! This CGR review of Gods Eater Burst on PSP has gameplay from Gods Eater Burst on Sony PSP for this US release of a previously Japan-only videogame called God Eater Burst. Additional PSP download content is available.

Classic Game Room reviews TACTICS OGRE: LET US CLING TOGETHER for Sony PSP from Square Enix, a bad-ass installment of tactics strategy gameplay. While "technically" not in the Final Fantasy universe or series, it's basically the same game and that's rad to the max because FF Tactics is f'ing awesome and so is Tactics Ogre. This turn based strategy videogame has dozens of characters and numerous classes to choose from like wizards, valkyries and knights. Learn skills, spells and spend hours equipping armor and mixing and matching warriors to kick enemy ass. This CGR review of Tactics Ogre has gameplay from the Sony PSP videogame Tactics Ogre on PSP with strategy game play.

Part 1 of 2: Classic Game Room reviews Ys I & II CHRONICLES for PSP, starting with Ys 1 Ancient Ys Vanished Omen, originally released in 1987 by Falcom. This remake of Ys 1 by Falcom is published by Xseed for the Sony PSP and has beautiful anime style cut scenes and totally updated visuals that look great and retain the classic old school RPG feel of the game. In Ys 1 you play as Adol Christin and eventually meet your friend Dogi. Bumper car combat makes the game extremely simple to play and means that all combat is based on experience and weapons until you near the end of the game, but the storyline and plot progression is good enough to keep players interested who dig RPG style stories and babes with blue hair that play the harmonica. This CGR review of Ys 1 from the Ys I and II Chronicles set has gameplay from Ys on PSP showing Ys RPG JRPG style game play on PSP in HD.

Classic Game Room reviews GRAND THEFT AUTO VICE CITY STORIES on Sony PSP. Now you can take the debauchery with you on the go! GTA Vice City Stories is like an awesome, shrunken version of the original Vice City with a new plot, new characters and a new collection of 80's tunes. Maybe it's not as memorable as the original, some stuff is new and other cool things are missing, but this is an example of more of the same being rad to the max. This CGR review of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories has gameplay from GTA Vice City Stories on PSP showing game play footage on Sony PSP. This is a prequel to the original GTA Vice City and has music from Pat Benatar, Ratt, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Flock of Seagulls, The Cure, New Order and more! This can be purchased as a PSP Greatest Hits UMD. From Rockstar Games. GTA! Rated M.

Classic Game Room reviews BLAZBLUE CALAMITY TRIGGER Portable for Sony PSP from publisher, Aksys. BlazBlue is a 2008 arcade game from Arc System Works which found its way onto the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 PS3 in 2009. The game is well received by fans of fighting games and comes to the portable Sony PSP in 2010 with BlazBlue Calamity Trigger Portable! The PSP is the current handheld to get for fighting games with a fine selection of titles. Games like BlazBlue explode off the screen with a vibrant, superb widescreen presentation and blazing high contrast visuals. The characters in BlazBlue are the stars and bring creativity and freshness to what could be "just another fighter". For the most part Blaz Blue is similar to the popular Capcom and SNK 2D fighters like Street Fighter and King of Fighters but with some unique special moves, character animations and bizarre visuals. BlazBlue PSP packs an arcade mode, ad-hoc multiplayer, a legion mode (survival mode) and storyline. The story makes no sense to me but who plays fighting games for a story? That's why you play Donkey Kong. This CGR review of BlazBlue Calamity Trigger on PSP has gameplay from Blaz Blue Calamity Trigger on PSP showing Blaze Blue game play from the PSP-30001.

This lengthy Japanese role playing game for PSP has players exploring a massive world by finding their way through mazes and solving quests and adventures. Start of as Crais who is hired by Sophie and build up your experience by slaughtering piles of enemies in random encounters. Mash buttons or cast magic spells in Mimana Iyar Chronicle as you beat up giant lobsters, sheep, chickens and Jello-O shapes. Mimana Iyar Chronicle may not be the most exciting game out there, but for those looking for aredictable Japanese style role playing game with anime and random encounters on the PSP, check out Mimana. This Japan style RPG adventure game on PSP has bright colorful visuals and some well produced anime cut scenes to move the story along. Voice acting and text dialog also tell players what's going on. Classic Game Room reviews PERSONA for PSP in the Shin Megami Tensei series from Atlus. This amazing and creative series has many games for a variety of consoles such as the Nintendo DS and Playstation 2. Persona marks the series debut on the PSP with turn based strategy, dungeon crawling, demon slaying RPG action. Darker and more subdued than the other games (in the SMT series) that I've played, Persona missed some of the "wow" factor that made the others jump off the screen. Play as a team of teenagers (surprise!) from high school who are uncovering a mystery as to why demons are appearing all over town and their high school disappears and stuff like that. The usual, you know how it is. Feelings, inner turmoil, fighting demons, blah blah blah. Persona has a very sedimentary turn based strategy fighting style where two opposing teams square off in a rectangle and take turns casting magic spells, shooting and attacking each other with swords, guns and mop handles. Level up characters with experience points, level your personas up while using them and enjoy hours and hours of gameplay in this fancy dungeon crawler from Atlus. This CGR review of Person on PSP has gameplay from the Shin Megami Tensei video game Persona from Atlus.

Classic Game Room HD reviews CRIMSON GEM SAGA for Sony PSP from Atlus. This fantasy adventure RPG style video game has hand drawn sprites and a beautiful design all around. Japanese in style, but not overly cute or abnoxious, fans of new and old school fantasy adventures should check this one out. Guide your Luke Skywalker inspired character through an amazing quest to locate the Wicked Stone and avoid numerous bad guys and villains. Meet friends along the way, battle monsters and level up your characters. Excellent menu structure and leveling up systems round out this game with a high degree of playability. Save frequently and take it on the go, this CGRHD review of Crimson Gem Saga has gameplay footage from Crimson Gem saga on PSP showing game play in action. Graphically solid and with excellent audio quality, the pickiest RPG video game fan should get a kick out of this one. Storyling seems about average, but gameplay is a lot of fun and easy to pick up and take on the go.

Classic Game Room HD reviews PANGYA FANTASY GOLF for Sony PSP. Is it golf, or is it Pangya? The South Korean PC MMO comes to PSP with a bang, Pangya has a solid technical foundation and excellent gameplay far beyond its overly cute anime art design. Play 9 fantasy golf courses with 18 characters. Pangya on PSP has storyline more, tournament mode and a network multiplayer mode with up to 8 people. This CGRHD review of PANGYA Fantasy Golf has gameplay footage from Pangya Fantasy Golf on PSP showing this outlandish golf game in action. It's like Golden Tee meets anime.... although not good anime like Akira. That would be awesome! The graphics and mechanics of the game are excellent and should appeal to people looking for a very creative golf game with wild courses and cool game play features. From Ntreev and published by Tomy, Pangya may appeal to those Golden Tee and Tiger Woods Golf fans as well as anime fans looking to dress up characters and play a fun game. Seriously, it's really well made. It's kind of like Mario Kart with golf but without the Nintendo license. Classic Game Room reviewed Pangya Fantasy Golf for PSP as a PSP reviewer reviewing PSP video games.

Classic Game Room HD reviews STEAMBOT CHRONICLES BATTLE TOURNAMENT for Sony PSP from Irem, published by Atlus. Take command of a Trotmobile and play an adventure game mixed with a battle tournament fighting game where mechs face off in the arena! Steambot Chronicles has some cool concepts and good fighting controls as well as multiplayer mayhem, it lacks a bit of the polish found in many titles but works quite well and has high replay value. You can play with up to four players from one UMD disc, Sony PSP game cartridge thingy. Build, modify and customize your battle robots in Steambot Chronicles, arm them with flamethrowers and guns, swords and saws. Earn money and experience, fight your way through tournaments and get animated chicks to like you. It has RPG elements and you can choose what things you say at times, although I have the feeling the outcome is usually the same. The end result is you bashing other robots into a heap of smoldering metal. This CGRHD review of Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament on PSP has gameplay footage from Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament showing combat, robot modifications and the style of the adventure storyline.
