Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 The skin provides a remarkably good barrier against bacterial infections. Although many bacteria come in contact with or reside on the skin, they are normally unable to establish an infection. When bacterial skin infections do occur, they can range in size from a tiny spot to the entire body surface. They can range in seriousness as well, from harmless to life threatening. Many types of bacteria can infect the skin. The most common are Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. Skin infections caused by less common bacteria may develop in people while hospitalized or living in a nursing home, while gardening, or while swimming in a pond, lake, or ocean. Some people are at particular risk of developing skin infections. For example, people with diabetes are likely to have poor blood flow, especially to the hands and feet, and the high levels of sugar (glucose) in their blood decrease the ability of white blood cells to fight infections. People who are older, who have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or AIDS or other immune disorders, or hepatitis, and who are undergoing chemotherapy or treatment with other drugs that suppress the immune system are at higher risk as well because they have a weakened immune system. Skin that is inflamed or damaged by sunburn, scratching, or other trauma is more likely to become infected. In fact, any break in the skin predisposes a person to infection. Prevention involves keeping the skin undamaged and clean. When the skin is cut or scraped, the injury should be washed with soap and water and covered with a sterile bandage. Petrolatum may be applied to open areas to keep the tissue moist and to try to prevent bacterial invasion. Doctors recommend that people do not use antibiotic ointments (prescription or nonprescription) on uninfected minor wounds because of the risk of developing an allergy to the antibiotic. However, an antibiotic ointment is used if an infection develops.

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 Prostate problems introduction Stan just found out that a friend has prostate cancer. A lot of men he knows have some kind of problem with their prostate. He's worried that this might happen to him. It's true that prostate problems are common after age 50. The good news is there are many things you can do. What is the prostate? The prostate is a gland about the size of a walnut. It is part of the male reproductive system and wraps around the tube that carries urine out of the bladder. It grows larger as you get older. If your prostate gets too large, it can cause health issues. Having prostate problems does not always mean you have cancer. Sometimes a doctor may find a problem during a routine checkup or by doing a rectal exam. If you think there is something wrong with your prostate, see your doctor right away. Prostate Problems Facts Prostate problems facts medical author: Prostate problems are common in men after age 50. The prostate is a gland that is a part of the male reproductive system that wraps around the male urethra near the bladder. Common problems are benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), acute and chronic bacterial prostatitis, and chronic prostatitis (non-bacterial). Prostate cancer is common in men over 50, especially in African Americans and in men who eat fatty food and/or have a father or brother with prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is definitively diagnosed by tissue biopsy; initial studies may include a rectal exam, ultrasound, and assessment of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) levels. Treatments for prostate cancer may include surveillance, surgery, radiation therapy, and hormone therapy. Many, but not all, doctors believe male patients under the age of 75 should have yearly PSA tests. Identifying prostate problems early is a way to reduce future prostate problems; symptoms include frequent urination, blood in urine, painful urination, dribbling urination, inability to urinate, painful

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 The last few months of 2011 were indeed the season to be jolly! We were jolly all right. For Americans, It started with Thanksgiving and all the trimmings that go with it, then we had the leftovers. We just barely recovered from Thanksgiving when the rest of the holiday celebrations got under way. It seems like all these meals just never seemed to digest and then the next feast is laid in front of us and that feeling of being uncomfortably full seemed to last forever. Throw in traveling during the holidays, which upsets our internal clocks and then the stress of it all adds to the digestion anxiety. Exposure to a different holiday diet, perhaps in a different locale or country, usually leads to eating something we shouldn’t and this stress is compounded by knowing that while we feast there are all too many people the world over who have no food at all and so we eat what is put in front of us without being entirely conscious of its consequences in our bodies. Every year most of us make New Years resolutions to never do this type of eating again but temptations are always all around us and for some of us our willpower just goes out the window when the stress in our lives mounts up again and comfort foods beckon! In order to have some real questions to ask ourselves after we have indulged, it is important to review some symptoms. And because I have so much to share with you all on this subject matter, for everyone’s convenience, I am going to break this Celestial Musing blog up into two parts. (Stay tuned for Part Two: Best & Worst Foods for Gallbladder Disease) In Part One, I am going to ask you some serious questions to help you determine if that case of acute indigestion was indeed a dreaded gallbladder attack and also review what the gallbladder actually is. What is the gallbladder? The gallbladder is a small pear-shaped muscular sack that acts as a storage tank for bile. The bile is made in the liver by liver

Examples include Castleman's disease[1] and lymphedema.[2] Diseases and disorder Hodgkin's Disease/Hodgkin's Lymphoma This is a type of cancer of the lymphatic system. It can start almost anywhere in the body. It is believed to be caused by HIV, Epstein-Barr Syndrome, age and family history. Symptoms include weight loss, fever, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, itchy skin, fatigue, chest pain, coughing or trouble swallowing. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma Lymphoma is a usually malignant cancer. It is caused by the body producing too many abnormal white blood cells. It is not the same as Hodgkin's Disease. Symptoms usually include painless, enlarged lymph node or nodes in the neck, weakness, fever, weight loss, and anemia. Lymphadenitis is an infection of the lymph nodes usually caused by a virus, bacteria or fungi. Symptoms include redness or swelling around the lymph node. Lymphangitis Lymphangitis is an inflammation of the lymph vessels. Symptoms usually include swelling, redness, warmth, pain or red streaking around the affected area. Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 Heavy metal toxicity is an excessive build-up of metals in the body. Oftentimes, the vague symptoms produced by heavy metal toxicity are mistakenly misdiagnosed as incurable chronic conditions. The most common heavy metals that humans are exposed to are aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury. Heavy metals are found in everyday existence and are frequently hard to avoid entirely. Most people can excrete toxic heavy metals from the body successfully. However, some peopleespecially those who suffer from chronic conditionscannot excrete them efficiently enough and a build-up occurs. Recent research also reveals that those who cannot excrete heavy metals efficiently appear to be genetically predisposed to this condition. Research has shown that the APO-E 4/3 and 4/4 genotypes are the worst excretors of heavy metals. Those with this version of APO-E proteinabundant in the cerebral spinal fluid surrounding the brainwill have the highest affinity for becoming ill from exposure to neuro-toxic heavy metals, especially mercury when it is present in combination with others. When numerous metals are present in the body, they have a synergistic toxicity. Dr. Boyd Haley, professor and chair of the chemistry department at the University of Kentucky, performed a study on rats and found that the mortality rate of rats exposed to a small dose of mercury or aluminum killed only 1 rat in 100. However, when the rats were exposed to both mercury and aluminum at the same time, all 100 rats died a 100% mortality rate.

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 Radiation is energy. It can come from unstable atoms that undergo radioactive decay, or it can be produced by machines. Radiation travels from its source in the form of energy waves or energized particles. There are two kinds of radiation: ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiation has so much energy it can knock electrons out of atoms, a process known as ionization. Ionizing radiation can affect the atoms in living things, so it poses a health risk by damaging tissue and DNA in genes. Ionizing radiation comes from radioactive elements, cosmic particles from outer space and x-ray machines. Non-ionizing radiation has enough energy to move atoms in a molecule around or cause them to vibrate, but not enough to remove electrons. Examples of this kind of radiation are radio waves, visible light, and microwaves. EPA’s mission in radiation protection is to protect human health and the environment from the ionizing radiation that comes from human use of radioactive elements. EPA does not regulate the non-ionizing radiation that is emitted by electrical devices such as radio transmitters or cell phones

NEW Honda Ridgeline AWD 2017 ★Subscribe Beats other pickups but plays its own game. When the Honda Ridgeline first appeared in 2005, we threw it into a comparison test against the mid-size pickups of the day, and the Ridgeline came out on top. In that test, though, we equivocated on the question of whether the Ridgeline—with its unibody construction and transverse powertrain layout—was a real truck or a car masquerading as a truck. We called it “a new type of utility vehicle.” Now there’s a new Ridgeline, and Honda is sticking with its unconventional layout, although it did work around the edges to make the Ridgeline fit better into the pickup landscape. Hard-core truck guys may still question its bona fides, but the Ridgeline once again looks impressive next to its peers. __ Music: Venemy - Need You Now (feat. Whether you need to copy files to a distant remote shared drive located in the cloud somewhere or simply implement real time file synchronization with your web server located on the other side of an interface in your DMZ, copying files remotely translates into working through your firewall. This is why we designed GS RichCopy 360 Enterprise to work through a single port. We chose port 8008 by default but you can change it to any single port you desire. Working with the cloud also means dealing with security issues, which is why GS RichCopy 360 Enterprise protects your data while in transit through an encrypted tunnel. Finally, working with the cloud can mean slow file transfer rates when working with large files, which is why GS RichCopy 360 Enterprise provides file compression to speed up the file copy progress. Configuring the Remote TCP Copy function is a simple 3-step process: Configure your firewall to accommodate the TCP port (8008 by default) Install the Remote Transfer Agent on the targeted cloud machine Quickly configure your network client source machine and RT agent
