Surgery for prostate cancer involves removing the prostate gland radical prostatectomy, some surrounding tissue and a few lymph nodes. Ways the radical prostatectomy procedure can be performed include: Using a robot to assist with surgery. During robot-assisted surgery, the instruments are attached to a mechanical device robot and inserted into your abdomen through several small incisions. The surgeon sits at a console and uses hand controls to guide the robot to move the instruments. Robotic prostatectomy may allow the surgeon to make more-precise movements with surgical tools than is possible with traditional minimally invasive surgery. Making an incision in your abdomen. During retropubic surgery, the prostate gland is taken out through an incision in your lower abdomen. Compared with other types of prostate surgery, retropubic prostate surgery may carry a lower risk of nerve damage, which can lead to problems with bladder control and erections. Making an incision between your anus and scrotum. Perineal surgery involves making an incision between your anus and scrotum in order to access your prostate. The perineal approach to surgery may allow for quicker recovery times, but this technique makes removing the nearby lymph nodes and avoiding nerve damage more difficult. Laparoscopic prostatectomy. During a laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, the doctor performs surgery through small incisions in the abdomen with the assistance of a tiny camera (laparoscope). This procedure requires great skill on the part of the surgeon, and it carries an increased risk that nearby structures may be accidentally cut. For this reason, this type of surgery is not commonly performed for prostate cancer in the U.S. anymore. Discuss with your doctor which type of surgery is best for your specific situation.

Highlights The lymph nodes are located under your arm. This is why many people, especially women, get nervous when they find an armpit lump. The lumps can be caused by bacterial or viral infections, allergies, harmless fat or tissue growths, and cancerous growths. Your doctor will conduct a physical examination and may order a biopsy to determine the cause of the lump. An armpit lump usually refers to the enlargement of at least one of the lymph nodes under your arm. Lymph nodes are small, oval-shaped glands that are located throughout the body and play an important role in your body’s immune system. The lump may feel small. In other cases, it may be extremely noticeable. Armpit lumps may be caused by cysts, infection, or irritation due to shaving or using antiperspirants. However, these lumps may also indicate a serious underlying health condition. Seek medical attention if you have an armpit lump that gradually becomes enlarged, isn’t painful, or doesn’t go away. CAUSES Causes of armpit lumps Most lumps are harmless and are usually the result of abnormal tissue growth. However, armpit lumps can be related to a more serious underlying health problem. Any unusual lumps should be carefully evaluated by a doctor. The most common causes of armpit lumps are: bacterial or viral infections lipomas (harmless fat tissue growths) fibroadenoma (noncancerous fibrous tissue growth) allergic reactions adverse reactions to vaccinations fungal infections breast cancer response lymphoma (cancer of the lymphatic system) leukemia (cancer of the blood cells) lupus (an autoimmune disease that targets your joints and organs)

Mercury Mercury has no known beneficial role in human metabolism, and its ability to affect the distribution and retention of other heavy metals makes it one of the most dangerous toxic metals (Houston 2011). Mercury toxicity can arise from ingestion of metallic mercury or mercury salts (which are generally poorly bioavailable) or by inhalation of mercury vapor (which is readily absorbed) (ATSDR 2001). The relatively high solubility and stability of certain mercury salts in water enables them to be readily taken up and biotransformed to methylmercury by certain fish; these forms are readily absorbed through the GI tract and are becoming a major source of mercury exposure in humans (Houston 2011). Dimethylmercury, a mercury compound chemically synthesized in the laboratory, can also be absorbed through the skin, and several cases of fatal exposure among laboratory workers have been reported (Nierenberg 1998; Bernhoft 2012). Although humans can excrete small amounts of mercury in urine or feces as well as via exhalation or sweating, they lack an active robust mechanism for mercury excretion, allowing levels to accumulate with chronic exposure (Houston 2011; Sällsten 2000; Houston 2011). Mercury, particularly when inhaled as mercury vapors, can distribute to many organs, but may concentrate in the brain and kidneys (ATSDR 2001). It can also cross the placenta and be found in breast milk (Yang 1997). Mercury exerts its toxic effects by competing with and displacing iron and copper from the active site of enzymes involved in energy production; this induces mitochondrial dysfunction and oxidative damage (Houston 2011). Mercury can also directly accelerate the oxidative destruction of cell membranes and LDL cholesterol particles as well as bind to and inactivate the cellular antioxidants N-acetyl cysteine, alpha-lipoic acid, and glutathione (Houston 2011). Because of its effect on cellular defense and energy generation, mercury can cause widespread toxicity and symptoms

Radiation exposure may involve Contamination Irradiation Radioactive contamination is the unintended contact with and retention of radioactive material, usually as a dust or liquid. Contamination may be External Internal External contamination is that on skin or clothing, from which some can fall or be rubbed off, contaminating other people and objects. Internal contamination is unintended radioactive material within the body, which it may enter by ingestion, inhalation, or through breaks in the skin. Once in the body, radioactive material may be transported to various sites (eg, bone marrow), where it continues to emit radiation until it is removed or decays. Internal contamination is more difficult to remove. Although internal contamination with any radionuclide is possible, historically, most cases in which contamination posed a significant risk to the patient involved a relatively small number of radionuclides, such as phosphorus-32, cobalt-60, strontium-90, cesium-137, iodine-131, iodine-125, radium-226, uranium-235, uranium-238, plutonium-238, plutonium-239, polonium-210, and americium-241. Irradiation is exposure to radiation but not radioactive material (ie, no contamination is involved). Radiation exposure can occur without the source of radiation (eg, radioactive material, x-ray machine) being in contact with the person. When the source of the radiation is removed or turned off, exposure ends. Irradiation can involve the whole body, which, if the dose is high enough, can result in systemic symptoms and radiation syndromes (see Radiation Exposure and Contamination : Acute radiation syndromes (ARS)), or a small part of the body (eg, from radiation therapy), which can result in local effects. People do not emit radiation (ie, become radioactive) following irradiation.

Hi this is Dr Ned McArthur Today I'm going to answer the question: What is the best sleeping posture? When it comes to your sleep there are several things you can do help your posture, but I believe the most important thing is, what is comfortable for you? What circumstances help you sleep the best? I'm frequently asked what's the best pillow or best mattress? I don't know. You need to decide what you like best. Any therapeutic value a pillow or mattress may provide are lost if you aren't comfortable and don't sleep well.

Once you've got those covered here a few others things you can do.
Sleep on your back or side. It's good to avoid stomach sleeping because to sleep on your stomach you need to rotate your head to one side so you can breathe. Having your neck rotated for hours while you're sleeping is the problem.

Of these rx the most important may be the pillow you choose. When laying on your back use a pillow that supports the natural curve of your neck. When laying on your side it should be the same height as your shoulder to ensure that your head it not propped to high or hanging low. Lastly put a pillow between your knees when laying on your side to keep your hips level. Thanks for watching.

Trying out a bit of Element 3D and jet-strike pack and a couple of other 3D models. Took forever to render it. I know that a lot of people choose to move the sky or background or camera to make the model appear it is moving, but I'm not that great at camera movements so I move them in 3D space with key frames. Bit limited and does take forever.
