Here is the final scene from the drive-in horror flick "Brides of Blood" (Hemisphere Entertainment, Inc. 1968)which features Filipina actress Eva Darren and Hollywood actor John Ashley as a beautiful island girl and an American peace corps volunteer. Directed by legendary Filipino directors Gerry de Leon and Eddie Romero, "Brides of Blood" is about an island terrorized by a mutated monster known only as "the evil one", who kills his female victims by ripping them limb from limb. In this scene, the village has just defeated the monster and is celebrating by holding a mating dance ceremony. John Ashley started out in 60s Hollywood beach movies, then later on starred in a lot of Filipino horror movies in the 70s. In the 80s he went on to produce several Hollywood TV shows such as "The A-Team" and "Walker,Texas Ranger". John Ashley passed away in 1997. Eva Darren just turned 60 years old and is still very much active in the Philippine movie and TV industry and can be seen in a lot of Filipino teleseryes and movies.

Fernando Poe Jr. stars in Libran Films' KAHIT BUTAS NG KARAYOM, PAPASUKIN KO. Also starring Subas Herrero Bing Davao, Roy Alvares, Roberto Garcia, Caridad Sanchez, Bing Loyzaga, Paquito Diaz & Sunshine Dizon as Teresa, FPJ's daughter. With guest star Luis Gonzales Da King is Sgt. Daniel Torres who, because of an altercation with a grandson of an influential businessman, was transferred to Mindanao. There he met his new unit made up of army rejects who were mostly undisciplined, lazy and corrupt. How he molded this group to an elite fighting unit and gained support from the local populace is the heart of the movie. There's an inside story to this movie:....:KAHIT BUTAS NG KARAYOM took more than a year to finished, a long time by Philippine movie standard. The original producer run out of budget and has to resort to finishing the movie using an FPJ double. FPJ didn't like the finished film and got a new producer instead. There were some revisions in the script, more scenes were reshoot and some of the original stars replaced, The new finished film cost a staggering 35M which at that time was considered very expensive, as compared to the original which cost a measly 7M. Then while the film was being processed at the Sampaguita Studios armed men barged in and at gunpoint took the master negative. There were threats to destroy the film then. Later the NBI stepped in to investigate. Some people were arrested and the master negative recovered. Anyway ,the new movie was worth the long wait because it was a hell of an exciting quality action film. which became one of FPJ's blockbusters. WARNING!!! PLEASE DON'T POST OFFENSIVE COMMENTS! The King of Philippine Movies Fernando Poe, Jr. and matinee idol Julie Vega teams up as father and daughter in the box-office hit "Isang Bala Ka Lang" (1983). Eight years later (1991), a sequel was made that followed the events where Part 1 had left off. Even though our Darling Julie has been dead for 6 years at that time, Da King's character (Berting) made an homage to Julie as he visited her daughter Angela's grave during the early parts of the sequel.
