Denny's Phony Money Commercial
Robert Jeffress of First Baptist Dallas sermon "How to Spot a Phony" Oprah sermon, January 13, 2008
http://geeks.pirillo.com - http://live.pirillo.com - We've all had phone calls where we prayed for the call to drop. And we've all been in social situations where the other party just wouldn't shut up and go away. Wouldn't it be nice if a friend would call you at a time when you knew you'd be faced with a situation like that? http://chris.pirillo.com Distributed by Tubemogul.
Everyone likes free software, and most of the time piracy is the only answer. Microsoft, awknowledging the "tester" mentality of many early-adopter types, says it's going to provide the release candidate of Windows 7 for free, starting this Tuesday, May 5th, all the way till June 1st of 2010. What's the impact of this move? We ask Chris Spera from Gear Diary and Iyaz Akhtar from Gadget Tell about exactly how they see the move playing out. Chris thinks it's great for Microsoft, and great for consumers, especially given the current economic climate. Iyaz concurs, expecting the response in social media alone to play a big role in marketing Windows 7. Microsoft had better be sure they've got a winner on their hands, because large bugs in the operating system could be catastrophic if given on such a large base, but I'm sure Microsoft thinks this won't be Vista 2.0.
Also, we've had about a day to start to digest the Palm Eos, and taking a look at the leaked specs has our two panelists pausing for concern. Chris actually drew a representation of the device, and thought it seemed a little small, especially for his taste. Iyaz thinks the whole Eos mess might just be a viral focus group gone right for Palm, and that if the device didn't exist before, it, or a variant of it, will definitely exist now.
Whats your take on the Eos? Does the BlackBerry-esque form factor have you licking your chops? Or do you prefer the sliding keyboard of the Pre? Also, don't forget Windows 7, will you be the first in the download line on Tuesday? Have to nabbed a copy off of BitTorrent already? Do you think Microsoft might actually have a shot at getting it right?

A phony accent, deception and violent charades are useful tactics when trying to hinder your competition's progress.
Hours after a new poll showed her falling behind for the first time in Iowa, Hillary Clinton launched a blistering personal broadside on rival Barack Obama, calling him a phony and a double-talker.

"There's a big difference between our courage and our convictions, between what we believe and what we're willing to fight for," she told reporters.
"You gotta ask yourself, 'Who's really committed here [and] who's doing it just for political reasons?'"
Asked if Obama has a character problem, she said, "It's beginning to look a lot like that. You know, it really is."
The Iowa caucuses, which kick off the election, are Jan. 3, and Clinton signaled that the next month will be a brutal fight.
"Now the fun part starts," she said.
Obama dismissed her attacks as desperation in the wake of the new Des Moines Register poll showing Obama surging ahead of her in the survey for the first time, 28% to 25%.
"I think that folks from some of the other campaigns are reading the polls and starting to get stressed and issuing a whole range of outlandish accusations," Obama said in Des Moines.
"Washington insiders might think throwing mud is 'fun,' but the American people are looking for leadership that can unite this country."
Clinton whacked Obama on several fronts, bashing his lobbyist-funded political action committee and challenging his guts over health care - "Sen. Obama got to the brink and blinked."
Her campaign even dredged up a kindergarten essay Obama wrote titled: "I want to be President" to argue that Obama is lying when he says he hasn't been planning a White House run for decades, like his rivals.
Obama spokesman Bill Burton laughed that off.
"I'm sure tomorrow they'll attack him for being a flip-flopper because he told his second-grade teacher he wanted to be an astronaut," he said.
Significantly, when asked if Clinton had anything to say about John Edwards, who is running neck and neck with Clinton in the poll, she was all sweetness.
Clinton touts herself as a tough political fighter, though she is quick to decry the "politics of personal destruction" and accuse her rivals of "piling on."
While showing evident relish for the fight ahead, she added, "I would much rather be attacking Republicans and attacking the problems of our country, because ultimately that's what I want to do as President."
BENEDICT XVI: USURPER, DECEIVER, PHONY, IMPOSTOR. A representative of God? NO! A representative of child abusers, pedophiles and rapists. President Bush does not hesitate to spend millions of dollars and lives to find Osama Bin Laden or any other terrorist, however, he openly welcomes to his own home the worst one of all, Benedict XVI. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! The countless years of lies, abuse and deceit need to stop. The time has come. www.usurpador.com

Nalts pranks mother-in-law (with some help). First with a fake antique getting smashed by his son. Then with a phony lottery ticket.
With Solera Holdings Inc. on their side, you'll need more than a phony limp and neck brace to beat the auto insurance companies.
