BIT.TRIP SAGA review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of BIT.TRIP SAGA from Gaijin Games and Aksys Games for the Nintendo 3DS. All six of Commander Video's trippy WiiWare adventures have been rereleased on Nintendo's two platforms. And while the 3DS Saga isn't quite as good as the Wii's Collection, this portable version is still a solid compilation of fantastic retro games. In fact, there are a few perks to playing the BIT.TRIP games on the 3DS, the first of which being the 3D graphics. The clean retro style of the BIT.TRIP games makes for outstanding 3D interpretation. The graphics are even more surreal when they're popping off the screen, and although it doesn't add anything to the gameplay, it does add to the aesthetic experience, which has always been a big part of the BIT.TRIP games. This video review features video gameplay footage of BIT.TRIP SAGA for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of 3D Classics: Excitebike from Arika and Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. 3D Classics: Excitebike is a downloadable game available in the 3DS eShop. Roughly the 37th port Excitebike has received since its original release in 1985, this new version of Excitebike features a great 3D effect and a gorgeous widescreen display. Excitebike has never looked better, and to us, this is the definitive version of Excitebike. The game plays as well as it ever has, but playing it through this gorgeous new window feels like a new experience. The pixels are crisp even in 2D, and when the 3D effect is on, they pop off the screen better than even a lot of retail 3DS games achieve. This video review features video gameplay footage of 3D Classics: Excitebike for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Reload from Mastiff Games for the Nintendo Wii. Reload is a shooting simulator. You'll play this entire game without shooting a single enemy of any kind. It's basically a glorified game of target practice, and every level presents you with different objectives and targets to annihilate. To the game's credit, Reload is a very smooth shooter. Reload uses the Wii Remote's pointer with pixel-perfect precision, letting you pop off headshots with the kind of ease you could never get from analog sticks. But at the end of the day, this is target practice. This is a game that never goes anywhere. It hinges on the enjoyability of pointing with the Wii Remote and shooting, and although it does that very well, other Wii shooters do it even better...and with enemies, levels and progression. This video review features video gameplay footage of Reload for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

Dragon's Crown review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room reviews DRAGON'S CROWN from Vanillaware and Atlus, a side scrolling, hack and slash adventure RPG with quick wit and cheeky humor. Prepare to slaughter waves of enemies as a team of battle hardened explorers side scrolls through colorful, painting-like levels filled with treasures and danger! Dragon's Crown is filled with suggestive humor and a stylish art design that makes the game pop off the screen and induce many a giggle (how does the sorceress walk without toppling over??) Fans of games like Golden Axe and Streets of Rage may enjoy the combat style with RPG elements like experience, treasure, magic and weapons to keep adventure fans grinding. Dragon's Crown is like a never-ending side scrolling dungeon crawler filled with color, style and good music.
