You Never Bike Alone is an 80 minute documentary, now available on DVD, looking at how cyclists are building critical mass in Vancouver, Canada, and changing the face of the city. It is the story of how a social movement grows and the people behind it.
Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian discuss the winners of the 2011 Oscars. Cenk completely disagrees with The King's Speech winning Best Picture over Inception (or even The Social Network) and Colin Firth beating True Grit star Jeff Bridges. And while Cenk and Ana agree on Natalie Portman's win for her performance in Black Swan, they disagree on the lesbian sex with Mila Kunis.

Suspense, terror and one of the most brutally graphic scenes ever shot. *******www.frayedthemovie**** Lionsgate DVD.
This performance of Tropic of Capricorn (one of my most favorite songs!) was recorded at Hawaii Jazz Festival at Turtle Bay in 1991. Except several clips from the released live video, "Live in L.A.", this is probably the only clip of their live performance on youtube**** with their near-original members including Tony Morales (ds), Mark Portmann (keys), Steve Reid (per), and Kim Stone (b) in addition to the leader, Russ Freeman (g), and current line-up, Jeff Kashiwa (sax).
Note: I remember Russ told me at that time that he enjoyed his stay in Hawaii very much but unfortunately lost his favorite wristwatch of "Three Stooges" when he went out for boating/swimming. Well...just a 18-year old anecdote!
