This 1968 Camaro is being built to drive, both on city streets and the in occasional track-day event. To accomplish this, we decided to install a Detroit Speed QUADRALink rear suspension system on the Currie 9+ rear axle assembly. The QUADRALink is a highly adjustable 4-link system utilizing a panhard bar and adjustable coil-over shocks. This design eliminates the stock suspension's leaf spring wrap-up issues, and allows for more precise ride height adjustment and the quick spring rate changes coil-overs offer. The Currie 9+ axle assembly features a new fabricated housing, 3.50:1 gears, a Detroit Truetrac differential, 31 spline axles, and all new bearings and seals for a rock-solid foundation. All these parts will add up to a comfortable street machine that won't be unstable on the track. Part 1 of 2.

*******www.airbagit****/Link-Suspension-Kits-s/1848.htm - Like other successful companies, we started in our garage over 22 years ago. Ratical Tops was formed in 1987 and manufactured Convertible Tops for most every truck of the period. We still sell them today. We added suspension to our product line in 1992, and to better reflect our full line of products, we incorporated as AIM INDUSTRIES in 1992, which we still are know as today. In 1992, Chassis Tech was formed as we expanded our operations and purchased over $12,000,000 worth of CNC Machining equipment to build Spindles, Fabrication of raw metals. We purchased our building in 1997, which is 3 1/2 acres with over 100,000 square foot under roof. In 1994, AIM was the first company ever, to put all 4 wheels on air, which was featured at SEMA with our yellow Dodge Ram as the feature truck on SEMA advertising in 1995. Other companies saw what we were doing and followed suit. In 2002, we received a patent for engineering the first AirStrut to replace the original Mac Pherson strut.

Subaru today unveiled the redesigned and newly named 2008 Subaru Tribeca at the New York International Auto Show. With powerful new styling, a new, larger displacement 3.6 liter H6 engine, improved performance and fuel efficiency, the new 2008 Subaru Tribeca delivers a unique balance of style, safety and functionality in a progressive SUV form.
NEW DESIGN, MORE STYLE
The exterior design of the new Tribeca is both streamlined and powerful, with a new, wider and taller grille, new front fenders and new hood design. The grille is now integrated into the front bumper, featuring a new chrome spread wing design, with the Subaru star cluster badge as the focal point.
A raised hood line, deeper front valance and new headlamps visually widen and heighten the Tribeca, establishing greater road presence with a more SUV like appearance. The new grille flows into a powerful silhouette, enhanced by new rear three quarter windows. The rear quarter windows are also functional, and with the addition of new larger side view mirrors, improve side and rear vision as well as increasing visibility for third row passengers. The side profile also features powerful fender and wheel forms that enhance the Tribecas signature rising character line. All new rear styling includes a new rear valance below the tailgate and new, wider taillamps.
MORE POWER: NEW 3.6 LITER H6 ENGINE
The dramatic exterior styling changes reflect the major changes under the skin for the 2008 Subaru Tribeca. A new 3.6 liter boxer engine has been designed with a goal of improving low end torque and also lowering consumer running costs with a change to regular unleaded fuel. The larger engine displacement has increased engine torque to 247 lb. ft., up from 215, and horsepower to 256 from 245, providing improved low end torque without sacrificing high rpm power. The new engine package, despite the larger engine size, not only maintains emissions levels but delivers improved fuel efficiency in real world driving situations.
To achieve these goals without affecting engine packaging, a unique shortened con rod was created to allow for a new and larger displacement engine without increasing the physical dimensions of the power unit. Keeping the deck height of the engine the same, the Tribeca is able to maintain its excellent low center of gravity. Improved cooling efficiency needed to achieve the use of regular fuel was achieved through a new common rail cooling system that individually cools each cylinder with water separation chambers rather than allowing water to flow from cylinder to cylinder. This allows for increased engine efficiency and standardized timing for all cylinders.
The new 3.6 liter engine features Active Valve Control System AVCS variable valve timing on both the intake and exhaust valves the 3.0 liter engine had AVCS on the intake side only.
The new 3.6 liter H6 engine is connected to a substantially revised 5 speed automatic transmission that features an all-new torque lock up converter and a new transmission control unit that deliver faster shifts and quicker reaction time. The new transmission delivers smoother shifts with less lag time and weighs less than the previous system, for a total weight reduction of 9.7 lbs. for the new drivetrain.
The transmission drives through the Subaru Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system. Enhancing the AWD system are standard Variable Torque Distribution VTD, standard Vehicle Dynamics Control VDC and four wheel traction control system TCS.
IMPROVED ACCESS AND COMFORT
The design of the award winning Tribeca interior is maintained, but third row seating access has been enhanced. Also new for 2008 is a re calibrated rear suspension with new bushings to improve ride comfort.
New for 2008, the second row seat now features a tilt and slide control on both the drivers and passengers side and a new assist spring that reduces the effort needed to slide the second row seat. Also new are molded assist grab handles on the lower C pillar to ease step in to the third row.
AWARD WINNING INTERIOR BLENDS DESIGN AND COMFORT
The sophisticated twin cockpit design features a flowing, sculpted dash and center console design. Aluminum look trim highlights the sculpted shapes of the dashboard. Electroluminescent dials and subtle ambient interior lighting provide a sophisticated touch, illuminating the front and rear footwells, the center console and cup holders. The center console is dominated by an information center that groups the readouts for the audio system, clock, fuel economy and outside temperature. A seven inch touch screen information center is standard with the navigation system. The easy to use audio and climate control system controls are located just below the screen.
FLEXIBLE 5 OR 7 PASSENGER CAPABILITY
The Tribeca is available in a variety of 5 and 7 passenger configurations. The 7 passenger model is equipped with a standard with a 50 50 split fold down third row seat that features integral headrests and carpeted back surface. For added passenger comfort, the 7 passenger model also features an auxiliary rear cabin air conditioner with fan speed control in the second row. The 7 passenger Tribeca models can be equipped with an available rear seat DVD entertainment system.
The new 2008 Tribeca was designed with achieving the highest ratings in the auto industry. The previous generation B9 Tribeca achieved top honors in the U.S. Department of Transportations National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA New Car Assessment Program NCAP crash tests with 5 stars in both the frontal and side-impact crash tests for both the driver and passenger seating positions. These results are in addition to the 4-star rating in the NHTSA tests for rollover resistance. No SUV to date has earned 5 stars in the rollover test.
The Subaru Tribeca features a Ring Shaped Reinforcement Frame Structure, occupant sensing, dual stage driver and passenger airbags, seat mounted side impact air bags, and standard curtain side air bags front and second rows. A Roll Sensor system that detects a potential vehicle rollover and deploys the standard side curtain airbags is also standard. In addition, the Tribeca features Brake Assist on its standard ABS brake system, Vehicle Dynamics Control and four wheel traction control. Brake Assist analyzes the force and stroke on the brake pedal and increases hydraulic boost to provide enhanced emergency braking, also activating the ABS system early if needed.
Subaru today unveiled the all-new Subaru Impreza 2.5i and its performance icon cousin, the Impreza WRX at the New York International Auto Show. With new, more sophisticated styling and two new body styles, a 4 door sedan and a 5-door model, the Impreza 2.5i and Impreza WRX breathe new life into the compact performance market. The new Impreza models take a giant leap forward in terms of comfort and utility, while delivering the handling, performance and Subaru Symmetrical AWD that made the original Impreza such a success. Also new for 2008, is the availability of Vehicle Dynamics Control VDC on both the Impreza 2.5i and Impreza WRX.
In 2001, Subaru changed the face of the performance market with the introduction of the original WRX, a car that could deliver turbocharged, rally-bred performance in any driving condition. The all new 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX follows that lead with an all-new breed of AWD performance car. The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX now rides on a 3.7 inch longer wheelbase 103.1 inches that improves ride, interior space and utility.
The new WRX is powered by a 2.5 liter flat four Boxer engine delivering 224 horsepower and 226 Lb. ft. of torque and is 50 lbs. lighter than its predecessor. The engine has been modified to produce more torque at lower rpm. With its broader and richer torque curve, the 2008 WRX delivers a smooth stream of power, improving drivability and fuel efficiency.
The new Impreza chassis has improved rigidity and ride comfort with the addition of high tension steel at key structural points. The new design results in a lower overall weight for the body while the longer wheelbase allows for improved ride dynamics as well as increasing interior room and lowering levels of Noise Vibration and Harshness NVH.
To further improve handling, the engine is now placed slightly lower in the chassis, lowering the Imprezas center of gravity. In addition, the new chassis improves crash worthiness and provides crisper handling and a stiffer platform. While the new Impreza WRX remains a driver's car, the new WRX represents a better combination of capabilities, maximizing performance, comfort and delivering an advantage over the competition.
In conjunction with the new chassis, the Subaru Impreza and WRX feature an all new double wishbone rear suspension. The suspension allows for less intrusion into the cargo area, providing a wider and deeper luggage compartment. The new suspension also delivers improved ride refinement, decreased road noise, and a quieter cabin.
MODERN EXTERIOR DESIGN
The all-new 2008 Impreza and Impreza WRX are now available in two new body styles, a 4 door and a 5 door. The new 5 door design is clean and elegant, with a sweeping single curve roofline that flows into an aerodynamic rear spoiler. An all new frontal design features the new spread wing logo design at the top of the widened grille. The new grille creates a connection to the Subaru aircraft heritage and places a focus on the Subaru star cluster logo.
Both exterior designs focus on detail touches such as the new clear rear lenses on the 5-door, distinctive curved fog lamps and an inward sweeping chrome embellishment that flows the grille design into the bumper. An aggressive lower spoiler adds to the sporting character of the design.
The 5 door features a distinctive character line that sweeps upward at the rear, giving the car an agile look. The short rear overhang, new clear rear taillamp lenses and a vertical chrome bar combine to integrate the side character line into tail.
The 4 door Impreza and Impreza WRX are unique to the North American market. The new 4 door is 4.5 inches longer than the previous sedan and 6.5 inches longer than the new 5 door models. The extra space provides for a much larger trunk that can accommodate three Tour-size golf bags. The rear seats feature a 60 40 rear split folding mechanism that further enhances cargo capacity. On new 5 door Impreza models, the wide and flat load floor can accommodate two Tour-size golf bags with the rear seats in the upright position.
The design of the 4 door models creates an improved road presence, with a wider and sharper front design giving way to a crisp side body crease. The rear of the 4 door Impreza is set apart by red lamp lenses and a chrome strip below the trunk line that visually widens the tail.
On WRX models, a new available aero kit denotes the WRX rally car heritage. The 5 door WRX features a rear under body diffuser and single chrome exhaust pipe. The 4 door WRX features dual chrome exhaust tips and a rear trunk spoiler.
RICH INTERIOR DESIGN
The interior design of the 2008 Impreza places a new emphasis on comfort and space. The new sweeping twin cockpit embraces occupants and brushed aluminum look insets flow into the center stack. The center console shape adds to the airiness of the cockpit design, aided by the sculpted door panels and improved headroom. The door panels house molded recesses that can accommodate 24 oz. soft drink bottles, as well as loose items.
Despite retaining the same exterior width as the previous generation Impreza, the new 2008 Impreza features an interior with two inches more front shoulder room than before.
It has been the subject of more enthusiast magazine build stories than any other car and has graced the cover of Popular Hot Rodding (PHR) countless times. It even played a supporting role in "Hollywood Knights," serving as the supercharged transportation for Tony Danza and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The car is Project X, the most famous 1957 Chevy ever built -- and rebuilt. Since its debut in PHR more than 40 years ago, Project X has served as a rolling, evolving test bed of high-performance parts and a bell weather of automotive culture trends. But while this perpetual project car has never absolutely been finished, it has undergone several complete rebuilds -- transformations that have contemporized its performance and styling.
General Motors and PHR collaborated during the past year to redesign, restore and re-power the iconic yellow shoebox, including the first of a limited number of Anniversary 427 crate engines.
"General Motors is proud to have participated in its latest and most extensive restoration ever," said Al Oppenheiser, GM Performance Division director for concept and vehicle integration. "This completely 'restified' Chevy represents the ultimate form of Project X."
PHR entrusted Project X with GM Performance Division, which took the car to its Warren, Mich., home for a frame-off revitalization. The car was updated with a contemporary spin on the Pro Street theme, with a modified Corvette front suspension, four-link and mini-tubbed rear suspension and more.
"Working on Project X was like working on a time machine," said Mike Copeland, GM Performance Division project manager. "The history was clear when we took it apart -- there were remnants of past modifications everywhere and the team members truly understood the historical significance of the car."
But while Project X has traditionally been a platform for aftermarket performance, GM Performance Division restored it with a great balance of O.E.M. parts and craftsmanship, complementing a roster of components supplied by the performance industry's top manufacturers.

Already one of the best cars in its class, the fully redesigned 2010 Mazda 3 is looking to put a little distance on its competitors. It gets all the usual upgrades you would expect in a new compact sedan — more power, more room, new features — yet it remains a straightforward yet sporty compact sedan.
At 180.7 inches in overall length, the 2010 Mazda 3 is about 3 inches longer than its predecessor, yet it rides on the same 103.9-inch wheelbase as before. The width is unchanged, while the height is up a couple tenths of an inch.
There are only modest changes under the hood. The base model Mazda 3 i uses the same 2.0-liter inline-4 engine as before. It generates 148 horsepower and 135 pound-feet of torque and comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission. The upgraded ""s"" model now gets a slightly larger 2.5-liter inline-4 rated at 167 hp and 168 lb-ft of torque. It comes standard with a six-speed manual. Both engines offer an optional five-speed automatic.
Mazda says excellent fuel-efficiency has been a key element in this car's development, so this Mazda 3 returns slightly better mileage than its predecessor. The specific numbers are 21 mpg city/29 mpg highway with the 2.5-liter engine and six-speed manual transmission. Add 1 mpg in the city with the automatic. The smaller 2.0-liter returns 25 mpg in the city with the manual and 24 mpg with the automatic. On the highway it's rated at 33 mpg with either transmission.
There are no major changes to the suspension — just a few minor tweaks here and there to further refine the overall feel. The front lower control arms, subframe and mount bushings have all been stiffened up to improve steering response and cornering grip. In back, recalibrated shocks and wider antiroll-bar mounts are said to reduce body roll. There's also a lighter, stiffer rear suspension crossmember that improves overall handling.
The minor tweaks continue in the cabin, where Mazda's engineers added longer seat cushions and slightly taller seatbacks for improved thigh and back support. Order the power seats and you'll get a handy three-position memory setting, too, a first in the segment, Mazda says.
Other options include dual-zone air-conditioning, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, an iPod dock and keyless ignition. Leather, heated seats and rain-sensing wipers are also on the options list.
And the most important option of all? Yes, there will be a hatchback version introduced early next year. Expect to see both the sedan and hatchback versions of the 2010 Mazda 3 on sale this spring.

It's all right to consider the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible the company's first real drop top. Sure, there was that M30 thing back in the early days, but it was just a regular old coupe that got shipped to ASC for a lobotomy.
This G37 convertible is the real deal. It has unique bodywork, an upgraded interior and a three-piece retractable hardtop. Add to that Infiniti's new 3.7-liter V6 and this G37 drop top should have no trouble erasing the bad taste left behind by the M30.
With the top in place, the G37 convertible looks almost identical to the coupe. It's somewhat of an illusion, however, as the convertible's body panels are unique from the A-pillars back. The result is a car that's actually 1.1 inches wider overall.
The rear track is also 1.4 inches wider, as the rear suspension was modified slightly to make room for the folded hardtop. Overall, the G37 convertible is roughly 442 pounds heavier than the comparable coupe. Cargo capacity with the top up is actually better than the coupe at 10.3 cubic feet (versus the coupe's 7.2 cubic feet). With the top down, the space nearly disappears as the capacity drops to a little less than 2 cubic feet of space.
There will be two models available — base and Sport 6MT. Both get the same 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 as the coupe. The base model gets a seven-speed automatic transmission as standard, while the Sport model comes with a close-ratio six-speed manual. No fuel-efficiency figures are available yet, but expect them to be slightly lower than the coupe's numbers of 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
Every G37 convertible gets an extra dose of aluminum trim on the dash, doors and center console. Both the dual-zone climate control system and the optional Bose audio system have the ability to compensate for top-down driving. On the less technical side, there's also a rear-seat windscreen to reduce cabin turbulence.
Sales of the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible are expected to start in the spring of 2009. Pricing will be announced closer to launch, but expect to see the base model come in just under $40,000.
The big story about the 2010 Lexus RX 350 is that there's nothing big about it. Due to its wider track, it's slightly broader across the shoulders than the 2009 RX 350, but otherwise it has the same overall footprint. Its 107.9-inch wheelbase is only an inch longer than before, but there's still no third-row seat. RX owners, we're told, still don't want one.
""Keeping the right size was something we heard a lot of, because we certainly studied whether we wanted to add a third row,"" Ben Mitchell, an RX product planner, told us. ""The majority of RX owners prioritize space in back, room for luggage.""
To that end, the 2010 RX 350 has a more compact double-wishbone rear suspension, and after inspecting the cargo bay, we can attest that it intrudes less than the previous strut arrangement.
The previous RX's 3.5-liter V6 carries over but makes 275 horsepower this year (an increase of 5), and last year's five-speed automatic gives way to Toyota's six-speed unit with a manual-shift mode. The RX 350 gained some weight in the redesign (same basic platform architecture but more luxury gadgets), but we're told 0-60 times won't be affected much.
Electric power steering assist is new this year, but based on our recent experience with the Toyota Venza, we don't think this is a bad thing for the RX. ""Owners asked for a little bit tighter response in the steering,"" said Mitchell, and we think we've delivered that without compromising comfort.""
Probably the biggest change on the 2010 Lexus RX 350 is that it no longer has a touchscreen-style navigation system. Really. You now have to use a console controller called Remote Touch. We're told you can adjust the controller's sensitivity much like a computer mouse. To ease the transition, Lexus has a couple hands-on tutorials set up in the convention center that you can play with if you go to the show.
The 2010 Lexus RX 350 goes on sale in February 2009.
Import/Export Or Local Sale:2010 Mercedes Benz E63 AMG MSRP:$98,625
With 518 hp and AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission
The E63 AMG – a new generation sports sedan delivering top driving dynamics
Affalterbach – AMG is kicking-off the 2009 driving season with a new superstar: shortly after the launch of the new E-Class, the AMG high-performance brand of Mercedes-Benz Cars presents the new 2010 E63 AMG. This dynamic sports sedan impresses with outstanding performance, thrilling handling characteristics and advanced technology transferred from its sibling, the SL63 AMG high-performance Roadster. The E63 AMG makes its U.S. sales debut in November 2009.
The new E63 AMG distinguishes itself from the standard Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedans with a newly developed AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with electronically controlled damping, revised front suspension and unique exterior and interior design. At the same time, Mercedes-AMG has achieved a significant reduction in fuel consumption of almost twelve percent for the new E63 AMG, thanks to the precise application of several fuel efficiency improvements. With its unique combination of pioneering driver assistance systems, the E63 AMG further consolidates the brand's leading position in the field of automotive safety.
The AMG 6.3-liter V8-engine in the new E63 AMG develops an output of 518 hp and a 465 lb-ft of torque, matching the outstanding figures for the SL63 AMG. The high-performance Roadster has also transferred its AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission to the new model. This transmission replaces the conventional torque converter through the use of a multi-disc wet start-up clutch. In conjunction with the four individual driving modes, rev-matched shifts and RACE START function, the resulting, direct connection to the powertrain delivers an extremely emotional and high-performance driving experience.
The AMG MCT drive unit is unique in this segment, and provides dramatic performance figures: the E63 AMG accelerates from standstill to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited). The fast-revving, naturally aspirated engine with a displacement of 6208 cc impresses with its agile responsiveness, muscular power delivery and high redline. The AMG V8 sound is a thrilling partner for mile after mile, while the smooth-running engine guarantees renowned Mercedes long-distance comfort. A newly designed water cooling system ensures maximum endurance even under the enormous dynamic stresses of the racetrack.
Fuel consumption cut by almost twelve percent
Despite 11 hp of additional output versus the preceding model, the E63 AMG showcases several advancements designed to improve fuel efficiency, including on-demand delivery of fuel and alternator management with recuperation of engine power during overrun. In-engine friction is also reduced by the AMG-exclusive twin-wire arc spray coating process used to coat cylinder walls.
The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission also makes a decisive contribution to fuel economy: a multi-disc wet clutch running in an oil bath replaces the previous torque converter. This unit responds extremely rapidly, directly and without the losses typical of a torque converter transmission thanks to its low rotational inertia. The transmission is equipped with four driving modes: "C" (Controlled Efficiency), "S" (Sport), "S+" (Sport plus) and "M" (Manual), which can be selected using a rotary electronic switch in the AMG DRIVE UNIT. Partial suppression of individual cylinders by interrupting ignition and injection during gearshifts under full load contributes to considerably faster shift times. In M mode the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission allows gearshifts to be performed in 100 milliseconds.
In the even more fuel-efficient driving mode Controlled Efficiency, the transmission shifts the gears with deliberate smoothness, and the transmission control unit is programmed to perform early upshifts to keep engine speeds as low as possible. At the same time, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission met the most demanding requirements where driving dynamics are concerned: fast and precise multiple downshifts ensure first-class agility in conjunction with the automatic rev-matching and RACE START function: this enables the E63 AMG driver to call on the maximum acceleration potential automatically.
Electronically controlled damping system and a new front axle
Sporty or more comfort-oriented? The driver of the new Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is not obliged to accept any compromises in this respect. The AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension copes equally well with the dynamic cornering of the racetrack and more comfortable, sedate driving. High performance and typical Mercedes long-distance comfort go together as an extraordinary synthesis in the E63 AMG. This is made possible by the newly developed AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension. While new steel spring struts are used on the front axle, the rear suspension features AMG-specific air springs. The advantage of this solution, which is exclusive to AMG, is that the front spring struts ensure more sensitive responses while the rear air struts with their automatic level control system keep the vehicle at a constant height, irrespective of the load.
A new, electronically controlled damping system automatically varies the damping characteristics according to the driving situation, reducing the roll angle of the body. The result is instant adjustment to provide the best possible ride comfort together with the greatest possible agility. In addition, the driver is able to choose between the three suspension modes of Comfort, Sport and Sport plus at the touch of a button. The E63 AMG is also equipped with a newly developed, unique front axle with a 2.2 inch (56 millimeter) wider track, a tubular stabilizer
bar, new control arms, new wheel bearings, newly-designed bushing geometry and kinematics and new wheel location for more negative camber – thereby providing more grip when taking turns at speed. The AMG-specific kinematics also ensures significantly more precision. This is a highly sophisticated axle design whose principle has already proved its worth in the C63 AMG. The rear axle likewise has more negative camber, optimized elastokinematics and a new subframe mounting for greater stability at the physical limits.
Newly developed power steering and individual 3-stage ESP®
For more direct responsiveness, the speed-sensitive rack-and-pinion steering is also a new development. The steering ratio of 14 : 1 is 22 percent more direct (quicker) than in the standard production models, while a more rigid steering column plus the reconfigured characteristic mapping of the speed-sensitive servo assistance ensure better steering precision and improved road contact.
The 3-stage ESP® familiar from the SL63 AMG and C63 AMG enables individual settings to be selected – with clear benefits in terms of driving pleasure combined with the same high level of handling safety. The ESP® key in the AMG DRIVE UNIT allows the driver to choose between "ESP ON", "ESP SPORT" and "ESP OFF" – with the currently active mode shown in the central display of the AMG instrument cluster. Perfect deceleration even during performance driving is ensured by the AMG high-performance braking system with 14.2 inch, internally ventilated and perforated brake discs all-round. Particularly resistant, motorsports-tested compound (two-piece) construction technology is used at the front axle. Outstanding grip is ensured by the 18-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with a width of 9 and 9.5 inches and mixed tire sizes of 255/40 R 18 at the front and 285/35 R 18 at the rear.
Decidedly dynamic interior and exterior
The purposefully dynamic design of the E63 AMG is fully in keeping with the vehicle's impressive technology. The front aspect is characterized by 17-millimeter wider fenders bearing "6.3 AMG" lettering, the new AMG front apron
with large intake air apertures and the AMG-specific daytime driving lights in LED technology. In conjunction with the optional Bi-Xenon Headlamps with Active Curve Illumination, the E63 AMG is equipped with tinted main headlamps.
The striking visual presence is further enhanced by the AMG side skirts and AMG rear apron with a black diffuser insert. As a hallmark of the brand, the AMG sports exhaust system has two newly designed, chrome-plated twin tailpipes.
The new interior of the E63 AMG is an exciting blend of high-grade materials and functional sportiness. Exclusive features include electrically adjustable AMG sports seats with improved lateral support and the AMG sports steering wheel in a four-spoke design with AMG shift paddles. As a completely new feature exclusive to the E63 AMG, the AMG selector lever has one-touch logic. Directly adjacent to it in the center console is the AMG DRIVE UNIT, which provides adjustments for the MCT sports transmission, the ESP functions, the suspension setup and the AMG driving modes. Standard equipment also includes high-grade leather upholstery in three different colors, the AMG instrument cluster with an AMG main menu, door entry sills with AMG lettering and a sports pedal cluster – both in brushed stainless steel.
Even more individuality with tailor-made AMG extras
Customers can select the optional AMG Performance Package, which includes the following:
• Lightweight, forged 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with size 255/35 R 19
tires at the front and 285/30 R 19 at the rear
