The “Out of Sundaland” migration model argues that the origin of the Austronesian speakers is in the islands of Southeast Asia. Ideal climatic conditions and natural resources for development were found in Sundaland. After migrating from the semi-deserted savannas of Africa, man first found a place where food was abundant and it was there that they invented farming, agriculture, trading and civilization, which made humanity first flourished. A striking thing that can be observed in this model is the dispersal of population to the other part of the world about 11,000 years ago. An unusual event was happened here. The event is detected from the observation data. The change of the world temperature made the ice on the north pole to melt and the sea level continued to rise. Cracks in the earth’s crust as the weight of the ice shifted to the seas could set off catastrophic events. The most significant one is at the end of the Younger Dryas period. Earthquakes, volcano eruptions, super waves and floods engulfed the coastal cultures and all the flat continental shelves of Sundaland, and wiped out many populations. As the sea rolled in, there was a mass migration of the survivors from the sinking continent. From the legends, myths and tales, Sundaland has many names, among others are Garden of Eden, Paradise, Dilmun, Nippur, Nisir, Neserser, Ta Netjer, Land of Punt, Land of Ophir, Atlantis, Kumari Kandam, Pandya, Kangdez, Tollan and Siwan, Taprobana, and Golden Khersonese. Plato mentioned that the island of Atlantis was beset, in a night and a day, by an earthquake and a flood in a night and a day, 9,000 years before Solon, or about 11,600 years ago. This accurately coincided with the cataclysm at the end of the Younger Dryas period. In some other his explanations, it is implied that the flood was coming from the sea, so the possibility is a tsunami. Plato did not recognize “tsunami” so he equated it to “flood”. Earthquakes and tsunamis are very often correlated.

Will Ferrell stars in Semi-Pro, an outrageous comedy set in 1976 against the backdrop of the maverick ABA -- a fast-paced, wild and crazy basketball league that rivaled the NBA and made a name for itself with innovations like the three-point shot and slam dunk contest. Ferrell plays Jackie Moon, a one-hit wonder who used the profits from the success of his chart-topping song "Love Me Sexy" to achieve his dream of owning a basketball team. But Moon's franchise, the Flint Michigan Tropics, is the worst team in the league and in danger of folding when the ABA announces its plans to merge with the NBA. If they want to survive, Jackie and the Tropics must now do the seemingly impossible -- win. Semi-Pro co-stars Woody Harrelson (Anger Management, White Men Can't Jump), Will Arnett (Blades of Glory, "Arrested Development"), Andre Benjamin (Four Brothers, music group Outkast), Rob Corddry, Maura Tierney, Josh Braaten, DeRay Davis, Jay Phillips, Jackie Earle Haley and Andy Richter. The film is written by Scot Armstrong (Old School), directed by Kent Alterman, produced by Jimmy Miller, released

Box Office Recap From getthedaily**** - Your Online Source for News. Its was the lowest box office showing in the past three months, but somebody has to come out on top! Hey guys, its Andrea Rene here for get the daily****, and its time to look at what happened at the box office over the weekend. 1. Semi-Pro- 15.3 million Will Ferrel took number 1 at the box office, no surprise there but, come on! Only 15 million? Pretty dissapointing. I guess not people are just getting tired of seeing a middle aged man running around in little shorts. Stars Ferrel alongside Outkast's Andre Benjamin, and Woody Harrelson among others. 2. Vantage Point - 13 million This film stars a slew a great actors but isn't quite resonating with audiences as much as hoped, but hey, they are still at number 2. Pretty good I'd say. Its a suspense thriller about a Presidential assasination seen from many different perspectives. I heard it has cool chase scenes! Stars Dennis Quaid, Sigourney Weaver, Forest Whitaker, Zoe Saldana, William Hurt, and Matthew Fox. 3. The Spiderwick Chronicles - 8.75 This fantasy flick is hanging tough in the number 3 spot. Is not doing nearly as well as some of its predecessors like Lord of the Rings or Narnia, but $55 million is nothing to shake a stick at. Stars Freddie Highmore, Mary Louise Parker, and Nick Nolte. 4. The Other Boleyn Girl - 8.3 I could have guessed this film would be in the bottom of the top 5, but hey, at least it made it here! Period piece set in England during the reign of King Henry the 8th, and how he acquires his second wife. The Tudors is coming back to Showtime at the end of the month so consider this a pump up movie! Stars Eric Bana, Natalie Portman, and Scarlett Johannson. 5. Jumper - 7.6 million Hanging in the top 5, way to go! Considering you're full of crap! Okay there are some cool action sequences and great filming locations, but that is all that is good about this movie. Major plots holes and some terrible acting make this a must wait for DVD flick. Stars Hayden Christiansen, Rachel Bilson, Samuel L. Jackson, and Diane Lane. That's it for

What in the Hell is Will Ferrell doing in the Little Apple (Manhattan, Kansas)? Eric Melin, co-host of Scene-Stealers****, caught up with the comedy genius while on the first stop of his Funny Or Die College Comedy Tour. He was also promoting his new movie about the American Basketball Association, "Semi-Pro." After taking a brief tour of Manhattan's highpoints (i.e., the bars), Eric journeyed to a sold-out Bramlage Coliseum where Will fucking Ferrell performed with Zach Galifianakas, Demetri Martin, and Nick Swardson. As Ron Burgandy, Ferrell also presented Kansas State University with an autographed Hammerhead shark. What more could you ask for? Enjoy Eric's one-on-one interview with Will Ferrell, even though he's no James Lipton.
