pop hip hop indie are three different genres of music. Pop, short for popular music, is noted for its peppy, upbeat sound and a lyrical focus on romantic relationships. Although pop music is thought of by many as sort of insubstantial, no one who has heard ABBA can deny its power in the hands of a skilled practitioner. Hip Hop is a genre built on people using their voices as percussion instruments, rapping over a sample of music. Hip Hop began in New York in the seventies, a sort of bastard child of disco music. Indie rock, descended from New Wave music of the 80s, is the only genre of the three to still depend mostly on guitars. *******www.indi-hop****

In Rome, at dawn, when everyone is sleeping, one man is awake. That man is Giulio Andreotti. He’s awake because he has to work, write books, move in fashionable circles and, last but not least, pray. Calm, crafty and inscrutable, Andreotti is synonym of power in Italy for over four decades. At the beginning of the Nineties, this impassive yet insinuating, ambiguous yet reassuring figure appears set to assume his seventh mandate as Prime Minister without arrogance and without humility. Approaching seventy, Andreotti is a gerontocrat who, with all the attributes of God, is afraid of no one and does not know the meaning of awe, since he is accustomed to seeing it stamped on the faces of all his interlocutors. His satisfaction is muted, impalpable. For him, satisfaction is power, with which he has a symbiotic relationship. Power the way he likes it. Unwavering and immutable, from the outset. He emerges unscathed from everything: electoral battles, terrorist massacres, slanderous accusations. He is untouched by it all, unchanging. Until the strongest counter power in Italy, the Mafia, declares war on him. Then things change. Perhaps even for the enigmatic, immortal Andreotti. But the question is: do they really change or only appear to? We can be sure of one thing: it is difficult to tarnish Andreotti, the man who knows the ways of the world better than any of us.

Available on iTunes: ******* and DVD: ***********/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000GYHRHO/disinformation Although independent investigations began within weeks of both Pearl Harbor and the Kennedy assassination, the same was not true of the attacks of September 11th. Most are unaware that formation of the 9/11 Commission was strongly opposed by many in Washington, including the Bush administration. It was only due to pressure from the 9/11 families, led by a particular twelve calling themselves the Family Steering Committee, that, fourteen months after the attacks, the first hearing finally began. These twelve remained active in monitoring the Commission’s investigation, providing a list of hundreds of specific, well-researched questions to the Commissioners. In the end, the 9/11 Commission Final Report failed to answer seventy percent of them. In 9/11 PRESS FOR TRUTH, five of the most prominent members of the Family Steering Committee, including interviews with three of the "Jersey Girls," tell their story for the first time, providing the most powerful argument yet for why 9/11 still needs investigation. Adapting Paul Thompson's definitive Complete 9/11 Timeline (published by Harper-Collins as The Terror Timeline), the filmmakers stitch together rare, overlooked news clips, buried stories, and government press conferences, revealing a pattern of official lies, deception, and spin.

A movie shoot in Detroit looks like a real life crime drama. Police show up with guns drawn, ordering everyone to get down. People driving through the area called 9-1-1, reporting what appeared to be a very dangerous scene. Police quickly responded in force. Thankfully, no shots were fired. “And set to do a scene there and, out of the blue, the police come,” said producer/director Sean Brown. “We (had) six, seven nine millimeter barrels pointed at us.” “The Hayward Brown Story,” an independent Detroit film company is doing a movie about one of Detroit’s fiery political activists during the seventies. …. Detroit Police say when a 9-1-1 call comes in describing men with guns drawn outside a home, the cops are coming. Police also say there was no permit on hand.
