Type the words "the girlfriend experience" into your favorite search engine. Within seconds, you'll find ads promising companionship by the hour. Much of the sex industry has moved online. Today, an entire workforce of women is just an internet connection and a phone call away. National Geographic's Mariana van Zeller journeys to the heart of the American escort industry and uncovers the gritty reality behind the supply and demand of high end sex work. Mariana heads to Las Vegas, ground zero for the escort underworld. Here, high-end escorts like Sarah explain how they cultivate their illegal business online. As an independent escort, Sarah calls the shots and commands big money from clients. Yet for many women, a much different reality awaits. Las Vegas Vice Detective Chris Baughman is on his way to investigate another pimp. He says that the image of glamour and luxury that high-end escorts project is a part of the problem. For the majority of men, "what they're getting isn't some knockout that lives in a penthouse, that saves all her money and has the little toy poodle. It's the same girl that's getting beat. That's being threatened." His mission: to dismantle the Las Vegas sex industry -- one pimp at a time. Not far from the bright lights and bustle of the Las Vegas strip, Mariana sits hidden in a van in a parking lot beneath a highway overpass. She is investigating an office building that houses call centers for dozens of escort agencies. These agencies send girls to hotel rooms for private lap dances, and as long as they don't advertise prostitution, they're protected by free speech laws. We can't get the agencies to talk to us, so we go undercover to learn what's really going on behind closed doors. I hope you enjoy =) I Do Not Own Any Rights Of The Audio/Visuals Contained In This Video Recording Copyright By: National Geographic "Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. The Sex Business: How Germany became "Europe's Bordello", and the dark side to the country's booming sex industry. Meet Italy's Most Famous Gigolo: ******* Watch our report on the terrifying underbelly of Amsterdam's red light district: ************/watch?v=ht8wxROENdE Subscribe to Journeyman for more: ***********/journeymanpictures For downloads and more information visit: ******* It's known as the world's oldest profession, but with a number of 'megabrothels' due to open their doors across Germany, many are beginning to question the country's liberal attitude towards prostitution. "What makes this place so interesting is that you can change", explains Peter, a satisfied customer of a luxury new 'sex supermarket ' on the outskirts of Stuttgart. "You can take at 5:00 a blonde one, and at 9:00 a black one - it doesn't get boring." And Peter is not alone. An estimated 1.5 million men visit prostitutes every day in Germany, whose permissive sex laws have earned it the title of 'Europe's Bordello'. "Prostitution has always been a social need", says Michael Beretin, marketing manager for the Paradise chain of new-age megabrothels. "We need to deal with it, and make it manageable." Legislation passed in 2002, motivated by a desire to improve conditions for sex workers by granting access to health insurance and social security, saw prostitution in Germany swell to a $21 billion-a-year industry. But concerns over trafficking are prompting some senior politicians to lobby for change. "Germany doesn't want to be the brothel of the world", declares Christian Democratic Union MP Sylvia Pantel. "We've become a great country for sex tourism and perversion." But what of the women in the windows? This report brings you the views of those at the heart of the matter. Pregnancy is a potential result of rape. It has been studied in the context of war, particularly as a tool for genocide, as well as other unrelated contexts, such as rape by a stranger, statutory rape, incest, and under-age pregnancy. Although claims have been made to the contrary, the current scientific consensus is that rape is as likely to lead to pregnancy as consensual sexual intercourse. Incest is sexual activity between family members and close relatives. This typically includes sexual activity between people in a consanguineous relationship (blood relations), and sometimes those related by affinity, such as members of the same household, step relatives, those related by adoption or marriage, or members of the same clan or lineage. Subscribe to I FN LOVE DOCUMENTARIES for regular HD Documentaries For a mother who raises a rape-conceived child, both the traumatic effect of the rape and the child's blood relationship to the rapist can create significant psychological problems for both mother and child. If a woman decides to keep and raise the child, she may have difficulty accepting it, and both mother and child face ostracism in some societies. Mothers may also face legal difficulties. Children of Rape What They Go Through Will Shock You What is rape? It is a form of sexual sadism involving unlawful sexual penetration either by coercion, force, blackmail or under false promises. "I believe that whatever violates the integrity of a woman's body should be considered rape," says Brinda Karat, a women's activist. "Sexual violence apart from being dehumanizing, is an unlawful intrusion of the right to privacy and sanctity of the female," says Justice A. S. Anand. Situations under which rape occurs: - Custodial rape when a woman is in custody for some small offence. - Child rape is the pastime of paedophiles. 1 in 5 children raped are below 15 years of age. Some don't even spare infants in cradles. - Aggravated rape is when a rapist introduces an instrument or foreign body into the victim, to build up his own orgasm. - Marital rape which may not be recognized by the law. "In marriage, the weakest, stupidest, insignificant men of the world receive license to rape or beat their wives," says Virginia Woolfe - Necrophilia: The raping of corpses is common in certain tribes. Sometimes sexual perverts can also indulge in such activity. Reasons why men rape? - It gives men a sense of power, and is linked to their identity. Forcing a woman into sexual subjugation validates their manhood. They enjoy it. - Lust in men who have not disciplined their impulses. Testosterone makes male libido flare out of control. - Economic causes: In some communities the bride price may be too high. Poverty, low socioeconomic status, unemployment, lack of skills, make men vent their frustration through rape. The victim and rapist may live in the same area. Girls in inner cities have 1 in 70 chances of being raped, whereas in rich areas it may be 1 in 2000. - In communities with strict codes of behaviour, where no mingling of sexes is allowed, repressed males give expression to their masculinity through rape. - Antisocial and borderline personalities behave irresponsibly. This is enhanced by drugs and alcohol. - Misogyny: Men who hate women commit violent crimes against them. Many have aggressive mothers and timid fathers. A mother's verbal abuse may have given the man a poor self image. As an expression of anger against mother or sisters, he finds a victim who cannot defend herself or is mentally retarded, and rapes her. - Men with poor self worth are convinced that no woman would voluntarily sleep with them. They are aroused by sexual fantasies and express themselves through rape. - Revenge: When men are rejected or ignored, they feel insulted enough to use rape as a form of revenge. - Growing Feminism: Women are breaking down every male bastion. They are becoming economically independent and upwardly mobile. Male bashing is occurring like never before. Assisted reproductive technology and genetic engineering make some men feel purposeless and disempowered. As a result they resort to rape. - Sex Industry and Pornography incites men to treat women as commodities and humiliate them for their pleasure. "Rape is nothing more or less than a conscious process of intimidation by which all men keep all women in a state of fear," says Susan Brown Miller. Bangkok Patpong Nightlife Go Go Ladys Patpong (Thai: พัฒน์พงศ์, RTGS: Phat Phong) is an entertainment district in Bangkok, Thailand, catering mainly, though not exclusively, to foreign tourists and expatriates. While Patpong is internationally known as a red light district at the heart of Bangkok's sex industry, it is in fact only one of numerous red-light districts some catering primarily to Thai men and some others, like Patpong, catering primarily to foreigners. A busy night market aimed at tourists is also located in Patpong. Patpong gets its name from the family that owns much of the area's property, the Patpongpanich (or Patpongpanit), immigrants from Hainan Island, China, who purchased the area in 1946. At that time it was an undeveloped plot of land on the outskirts of the city. A small klong (canal) and a teakwood house were the only features. The family built a road - now called Patpong 1 - and several shophouses, which were rented out. Patpong 2 was added later, and both roads are in fact private property and not city streets. (The so-called Patpong 3 and Soi Thaniya are not owned by the Patpongpanich family.) The old teak house was torn down long ago and the klong was filled in to make room for more shophouses. Originally simply an ordinary business area, the coming of the bars eventually would drive out most of the other businesses. By 1968, a handful of nightclubs existed in the area, and Patpong found some use as a R&R (Rest and Recuperation) location for U.S. troops serving in the Vietnam War, although the main R&R area was actually along New Petchburi Road. In its prime during the 1970s and 1980s, Patpong was the premier nightlife area in Bangkok for foreigners, and was famous for its sexually explicit shows. In the mid 1980s the sois hosted an annual Patpong Mardi Gras, which was a weekend street fair that raised considerable money for Thai charities. In the early 1990s, however, the Patpongpanich family decided to turn all of Patpong 1 Road bar the sidwalks into a night market, renting out spaces to stall holders.[1] The consequence was that Patpong lost a great deal of its vibrancy as a go-go bar and sexual services strip, becoming crowded with tourist shoppers who were at best bemused by the nightlife and put a big damper on the strip's power to excite and amuse. Soon the real action moved to the newer nightlife areas of Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy, which today far outdo Patpong as go-go bar strips. However, Patpong is the only one within the official entertainment zones decreed by the Thai government in 2004, which allow venues to legally stay open until 2am, instead of the 1am legal closing time in other areas. Enforcement of that law was initially strict but has varied over time since. In recent years, there has been a move away from the traditional sex venues in Patpong. Twilo hip hop bar boasts two live bands every night, and is very popular with both tourists and local Thais. Also, Muzzik Cafe has been completely renovated and is a very popular live music bar playing a mixture of Rock, Hip hop and Pop. Next to Twilo is Funky Dojo with DJs regularly playing both club and house music. Park Bridge, another high class music venue, has just opened across Patpong 2 and is accessible from either the Foodland car park or the opposite building from the third floor. Radio City and Lucifer are also being refurbished, which will mean by November 2008 Patpong will be one of the main live music areas. *******en.wikipedia****/wiki/Patpong

Japan is well known for Anime, video games, and technology. But not too many people know about the thriving sex industry. Get inside the weird Japanese love industry (prostitution) controlled by the Yakuza.

I’ve lived in Japan a long enough time to know that once they start something, they don’t stop until they get it right down to the last detail. Nothing illustrates that more than Toshiba’s latest concept automatica dubbed “Chihira Aico,” introduced at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. In fact, lifelike robots are a big deal in Nippon, where you can find them doing everything from selling phones to stunt doubling for pop-idols. But I know exactly where this tech is headed. The sex industry. Gone will be the days of otaku and geeks totally missing out on Valentine’s Day for instance. One good aspect of this is that pervy crimes like upskirt instagramming and booty-grabbing on the train will decline. And even married guys won’t technically be having affairs with an inanimate objects. (What their wives think is a different story, methinks.) Also, androids aren’t judgemental. They aren’t programmed to be, so everyone can let their crazy fantasies take flight. I’m so sure that this technology will be popular all over the world, I’m just waiting on Prime Minister Abe to make it part of a new “Abe-nomics 2.0” economics package. But the downside is that Japan’s population will drop even faster now. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
