KANU PATEL-From Mask to Unmask HIS QUEST FOR A METAMORPH0SIS OF SUBLIME Modern Indian art has traveled a long journey in recent past but the forces of promotional aspect of contemporary art practices has been overriding for the artists.. Kanu Patel, born at Visnagar in Gujarat, a painter of substance is trying to lash out with his multifaceted personality who is consciously releasing his energy with his creative potentials. With his diversified interest in visual and performing arts, he was in position to imbibe the intricacies or the subtleties of these complimentary mediums, one is temporal, and another is crystallized form of expression. This dichotomy of mediums was always proven as a propelling factor and synthesis his persona with a wider sense of freedom. .His works destabilize the existing discourses on aesthetics by raising questions about the ambivalence between nature and man through a grotesque element of “MASK” and the context which constitute these discourses. Kanu Patel embraces the aesthetics of Imitation but in more candid manner to project himself as a source to release his inner ecstasy with a sense of pride . His long association with TV soap operas where he get himself transformed in to a persona of wild imagery from different allegorical, mythological and historical world and the play of various kind of grotesque elements derived from the sets of these colourful world . His disengagements from the mundane , earthy flavors of pastoral life, series of rainscapes and a wide variety of subjects with more passionate handling of pigments and a kind of super realism stretch of meticulous brush strokes was a thriving force for this “MASK” series of canvases in present exposition. Kanu said, “…. Yes, unmasked, partially masked……and with series moving ahead, new dimensions of mask with the reference to self-portrayal surface. Let me make it clear. People talked about my role as Shankaracharya. Now the self portrayal is overwhelmed by these characters I played: Sadhu, Suryadev, Hakim-e-Jinnat which I played recently in ‘Tilsmi-E-Hoshrooba’. The face is not at all masked in these paintings but the self is masked with the impersonation of characters I played…..” During his recent trip to Ajanta and Ellora, he confronted the Buddhist tradition of image making with all its grandeur which left a deep mark on his imagination .Finally Kanu Patel synthesis the iconic transmutation in his group of paintings In finale, Kanu Patel expresses, “Buddha, Shankara and carnival masks, ascetic way of Indian life and lustful way of the west. I tried to balance these two extremes to understand subtle layers of reality: Kanu Patel is also a momentous painter who creates his own personal myths by delving into his own stirring. Thus he reflects the modern Indian psyche and belongs to the main stream art practice of twenty first century. His concern to unmask the masked faces, shrouded in repugnance, grief, apathy and the ignorance which can be proven bliss in disguise therefore ….tryst for the royal gateway to heaven… waiting for all animated world around…. End of journey and the return of the prodigal son….. H.S.COMMUNICATION

First time total “Human Genomic Mapping' with profiling of Mirna in diseased conditions and role of Baruah Sirna to cure dreaded diseases is published in form of 5 volumes of Books-“It was a distant dream-now it is the reality”- written by Dr.DhaniRam Baruah- Frcsglas. Cardiac surgeon, scientist, bio-engineer, pioneer & chief cardio-pulmonary xeno-transplant surgeon, applied human genetic scientist & genetic engineer- Recently his books were inaugurated at Constitution Club, in New Delhi By his Holiness Jagatguru Shankaracharya Swami Adhokshyanand Devtirth Maharaj, Puri- Orissa. Dr.Dhani Ram Baruah & his contributions to medical sciences have been very well received all over the world. Dr.Dhani Ram Baruah, who was born in India, completed his medical graduation in Assam, became Fellow of Royal College of Surgeons & Physicians in Cardiac Surgery 30years ago from Royal College of Surgeons & Physicians, Glasgow, Scotland. After completion of General surgical training from Republic of Ireland, he became a master in Cardiac surgeries and carried out thousands of bypass surgeries & other critical cardiac surgeries. But by observing the drawbacks of presently available critical cardiac devices, surgical and investigating procedures, he decided to find out some alternative cardiac devices, some new surgical procedures with easy investigative techniques. He has developed Artificial heart Valves called “Baruah Heart valves”, totally permanent implantable artificial heart-Baruah heart 21 (1985-1994). His pioneering work in xenotransplantation is accepted by the scientific community, who admitted that pig is the only animal closer to human and its organs are compatible for organ transplantation. (1997) He is the first one who has developed applied human genetic engineering for curing dreaded diseases. He has invented biological weapon in form of small interfering RNA (Baruah Sirna) from edible medicinal plants, curing dreaded incurable diseases such as Coronary Artery Disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, Moyamoya, SLE, Takayasu. He is the first one on this planet who has carried out total human genomic mapping in diseased conditions with Mirna profiling. He has written following books on Applied Human Genetic Engineering which are based on experimental & clinical experiences- 1.“Unfolding the mysteries in human genetic sciences in heart disease & cancer”- where his work on Mirna based gene sequencing is described in relation to heart disease & cancer.(2008). This book is used as Text book in many universities in USA. 2“It was a distant dream, now it is the reality”- The present series of 5 volumes of books written by him describes about the human genomic mapping in various diseased conditions with Mirna profiling. Vol.1-Renal disorder- Human genomic mapping is carried out under renal dysfunction with Mirna profiling and its cure with Baruah Sirna. Vol.2- Coronary artery disease- where in CAD patients, reversal of the disease takes place by destroying detrimental Mirna by Baruah Sirna, thereby curing the disease. Vol.3- Hypertension & Diabetes- where Mirna profiling is done in hypertensive diabetic patients and its cure is subsequently proven with Baruah Sirna. Vol.4- Cancer & Eradication Programme where Mirna profiling is done in pre- and post-treatment cancer-pulmonary blastoma patient. Vol.5- Cerebral palsy & Down’s syndrome- where Mirna profiling is done in Down’s syndrome & Cerebral palsy patient and how Baruah Sirna is destroying detrimental Mirna thereby, curing genetic disorders such as “Down syndrome & Cerebral palsy”. In conclusion, Baruah Applied human genetic engineering is used to cure dreaded incurable and rarest of all the diseases by using his biological weapon-Baruah Sirna is beyond the reach of today medical sciences, but still he works hard to reach out to the masses and cure their various ailments.
