Classic Game Room reviews METAL SLUG XX for Sony PSP from Atlus. Basically the same game as Metal Slug 7 for the Nintendo DS, Metal Slug DOUBLE X brings you action on the PSP. It does have an ad-hoc multiplayer feature, but other than that it's pretty darned similar. Made by SNK / Playmore and gushing with 2D side scrolling action packed goodness, Metal Slug XX dazzles players with a dizzying array of enemies and creative environments. Encounter end bosses that crush and mangle you as well as a variety of "Slugs" like the Camel Slug. This CGR review of Metal Slug XX on Sony PSP has gameplay from Metal Slug XX showing 2D run and gun game play in action. UPC 730865600120
Classic Game Room reviews METAL SLUG 7 for Nintendo DS from SNK / Playmore and publshed by Ignition. Metal Slug is one of the best run and gun, 2D side scrolling shooting video game series ever created. Awesome action, beautifully designed 2-D visuals and intense gameplay. This CGR review of Metal Slug 7 on DS shows video game play in HD action on Nintendo DS. Metal Slug 7 has 7 stages, numerous characters and new "Slugs"! Plays with D-pad and buttons, no irritating stylus/button gameplay. Rated T for Too-Tough. Simple yet elegant, Metal Slug 7 is illin'. Those with a Sony PSP will want to look at Metal Slug XX which is basically the same game for the PSP with slight differences and a moderately smoother visual presentation, but keep in mind that Metal Slug 7 may be the best looking Nintendo DS game out there. Classic Game Room reviews METAL SLUG 2 for Neo-Geo CD, this review is played on the Neo Geo CDZ unit. The sequel to SNK's Metal Slug is packed with new levels, new characters and the combat school (as well as conceptual artwork and sketches). While Metal Slug 2 can easily be picked up for the PS2 Playstation 2 or Nintendo Wii in the Metal Slug Anthology, this review looks at the 1998 SNK NeoGeo CD release of Metal Slug 2. This game is also available for Neo Geo AES in game cartridge form. CGR review of Metal Slug 2 has gameplay from the Neo Geo CD Metal Slug 2 showing NeoGeo game play of Metal Slug 2. Metal Slug camel, Metal Slug Harrier VTOL jet and original Metal Slug make this game fun, fast and awesome.
Classic Game Room HD reviews the first METAL SLUG for the Playstation 2 PS2 video game console. Originally released for the SNK Neo Geo in 1996, Metal Slug has gone on to become one of the premier run n' gun shooters ever created. This version of the game is from the SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1 disc for the PS2. The CGRHD review of Metal Slug has gameplay footage from the PS2 game being played. If you like games like Contra and Metroid then Metal Slug should be right up your alley (more like Contra and Super Contra though). Hand drawn sprites in 2D with a great sense of humor and motion bring Metal Slug off the screen into a frenzied romp through war movie inspired backgrounds filled with mindless enemies waiting to be machine gunned, exploded, set on fire and run over by the Metal Slug tank. While CGR has not played the original Neo Geo MVS version in quite some time, this PS2 emulated game runs smooth and free of any visual defects. Gameplay is terrific using the Playstation 2 dual shock controller and this SNK collection has unlockable items like the Metal Slug music and artwork. Classic Game Room loves Metal Slug and so should you! Coming soon, a review of the Metal Slug Anthology for PS2.

Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Metal Slug for the Neo Geo by SNK. The legendary shoot 'em up series started here in 1996 with this intense action sidescroller with a vibrant cartoony look and sense of humor. As Marco you can mow down countless enemies and mind-blowing boss vehicles with an explosive variety of weaponry. Few games in shmup history have been able to match Metal Slug's level of incredible carnage, and this new version for download on the PlayStation Network also features online cooperative play, so grab a buddy and run and gun!
