Classic Game Room HD is a new member of the Classic Game Room family. A more relaxed, subdued show reviewing classic video games from the past 30 years. "Just because the graphics are better doesn't mean the game is better" Galaga is one of the biggest classic video arcade games from the 1980's, and this version on the Atari 7800 Prosystem is one of the best. Is it better than Galaga on the Xbox 360 Live Arcade (XBLA)? Retro gaming at its finest. You shoot invaders from space as they swarm upon you and try to take yo' $#! Blow them up with your dual space ships and send those aliens packing! Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD.
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of PHOENIX for the Atari 2600 video game system. CGRHD is a show about classic video games from the past 30 years. Classic Game Room tackles the relatively obscure hit PHOENIX for the Atari 2600. Obscure in that it hasn't made a comeback on Xbox Live Arcade for the 360 (XBLA), the PS3 or Wii. At first glance this game looks AWESOME because of it's great cover art! But does the gameplay live up to the hype? Check it out in Classic Game Room. Phoenix is an awesome old school retro classic video game arcade stand up that gamers will love for gaming and collecting. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD.
Classic Game Room is a new member of the Classic Game Room family. A more relaxed, subdued show about classic video games from the past 30 years. Demons are attacking!!! Well #! them, how dare they!? Shoot those confounded demons out of the sky with your Atari cannon thingy. But watch out, they move real tricky like and split into two while shooting at your Atari cannon thingy. Classic Game Room enjoys Demon Attack very much, this is a worthy addition to any Atari game collection. Hell, this is a worthy addition to an Xbox 360 collection. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD.
Kozmik Krooz'r review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Kozmik Krooz'r for Arcade. Board gamers call it "the goober." The weird stuff that comes with the game, besides pawns and dice and whatnot, that can't really be replicated here. This game's arcade incarnation featured some massive goober in the form of a spinning mothership, reflected onto the screen by way of a mirror. That's pretty slick. And the game isn't bad either! This video review features video gameplay footage of Kozmik Krooz'r for Arcade (as played on Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for PS2) and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks for Playstation 3. You have to love it when a game only costs two dollars, and you have to love it even more when it's this good. The game is a solid 2D shooter with you going on a mission to kill aliens. The game has a non-linear style with different level types and with most ending in a boss battle. Each level has a different difficulty level but that doesn't matter because each level is difficult. You will have to move fast and shooter even faster. The game is a great space shooter, and without question, worth the two dollar asking price. This video review features video gameplay footage of A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks for Playstation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Ryan.
Panic Restaurant Review. CGRundertow presents a video game review of Panic Restaurant for the Nintendo Entertainment System. While I've been working in radio and television for a while, I don't do jingles. So please forgive my terrible little diddy! But I can't help but sing for this game. Panic Restaurant came out well after the Genesis and Super Nintendo were dueling, so this game can be a little hard to find, so you may need to call ahead for reservation. Cookie's lost his famous, 5 star (I assume) restaurant, and the lookalike of a Strawberry Shortcake villain, Ohdove, has taken over the place and turned it into a wacky themed restaurant. Smack some pizza and onions and apples and eggs around and show them who's the Top Chef in this Hell of a Kitchen! This video review features video gameplay footage of Panic Restaurant on the NES, and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Jonathan.
Galaga review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Galaga for Playstation 3. For less than the price of an afternoon at the arcade you can buy Galaga for the Playstation 3. What a great world we live in. This game is an all time classic. It is a space shooter, and one of the best. The game is more complicated than most because of the motion of the aliens. They will come down and attack in irregular patters. This will make you think on your feet, while trying to get a high score. There is a reason this is still considered one of the best arcade games of all time, because it is really just that good. This video review features video gameplay footage of Galaga for Playstation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Ryan.
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Space Falcon Reloaded from Rapid Turtle Games for the iPad. In the vein of classic arcade shooters, Space Falcon Reloaded is a scrolling excursion through the annals of space. And it's not an easy trip, but to be fair, the controls have a lot to do with that. You play by tapping the bottom of the screen. The left button moves your craft to the left, the right button moves it to the right and your ship fires lasers automatically. This works alright, but the problem is that tapping a screen to steer doesn't quite feel as intuitive as using an analog stick. It's inherently slower. The game itself is pretty good, though. The enemies attack in waves, and your only means of self-defense are the power-ups that improve your default weapon. There's a motionless laser beam, there are screen-wide missiles...this stuff really helps even the odds against these overpowered alien scum. This video review features video gameplay footage of Space Falcon Reloaded for the iPad and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
