Nintendo 3DS XL Pikachu Edition review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of the Nintendo 3DS XL Pikachu Edition. IT'S PIKACHU. And now Pikachu's a 3DS XL, accomodating the needs of large-handed gamers (like myself) while drastically increasing the screen size of the previous hardware iteration. As a result, the most comfortable viewing distance for 3D effects has increased to around 18 inches from one's eyes, allowing for more comfortable viewing and a generally improved experience. Hey everyone. So a few years ago I was doing s... (more) Added: February 25, 2008 Hey everyone. So a few years ago I was doing some quick animation tests with a 3D model of a wii remote I made, and I thought that it looked pretty cool. Eventually I made a little animation with Mario holding the remote and...well...I just kept going from there. Eventually I put this whole commercial together. I wanted to send it to Nintendo to see what they thought of it, but never really got to doing it. The commercial basically shows some of my ideas for Wii games, such as a Kirby game for Wii, a Starfox game for Wii, and a Wii game where you play as Metal Mario. I really wanted some people to see all of my hard work, so I decided to post it on YouTube. Hope you guys enjoy!

The single marine carrying only his knuckles and a pistol at first -- was given the task of saving humanity from itself and the threat of out-worlds. All in a week's task for my younger brother and me at the time! =3 Although DooM certainly is a staple in my life... and to this day--few games besides Heretic and Duke Nukem are as much fun of as an FPS to me personally! =) The video game DooM actually was SECOND to come into my life. The first FPS game I ever played alongside my younger brother was a game that was found in a package of about 15 other games for the then-new Windows 95 Computer! =) The game was shaped by an excellent company known as Raven Software [who created Heretic later by the way =3] and published by Strategic simulations, Inc. in 1994. The game is known by the name of "Cyclones." "Cyclones" began a collaboration between my younger brother and me that to this day I value and cherish. =) Because at the time [I was around eleven or twelve and Windows 95 was one of very few public OSs] there was little comprehension for my elder brothers, my younger brother or younger sister and myself--of how to go about playing a video game that had players use both the keyboard AND mouse at the same time... I would "drive" [walk, run, jump] and my younger brother would "shoot" and look around, and handle weapons! It SO rocked! XD This collaboration carried us through "DooM" as well as later "Heretic" and "Cyclones." It was not until Quake II came into our lives of my family that we slowly learned how to use both the mouse as well as the keyboard in order to look around and to fire! Even this took some time--as we each initially played with the "Mouse Look" toggled off and resulted to the "Heretic Style" "Number Pad" to do all looking around, aiming, running, walking, and firing! It wasn't until one of my elder brothers [founder of MGCM] installed an independent Intranet where we were able to play Quake II in multiplayer mode between one another that we finally began to break free of our "Keyboard Only" style of play. I was around 15 at the time. =) These memories are certainly quite cherished and will likely not ever be forgotten or replaced. To this day, games like DooM, Heretic, Duke Nukem and Cyclones remain some of my most fond and most fun of memories. The fact of the matter is that the in-depth stories, the "Hero Saving Humanity" and the "Man versus Monster" take of these styles of games have continued to stick with me for quite some time on a personal level. Although I have played some of the newer FPS games--there is simply just something fun about battling monsters and other-world-hate-driven aliens in an FPS versus the seemingly modern FPS which seems to emphasis "War Zone Tactics" and "Human versus Human" story lines which certainly may intrigue--but personally for me are honestly... a lot less fun than DooM, Heretic, Cyclones or Duke Nukem. =) Delving Into The Steps Leading From DooM! >=O ********** The very first DooM I ever played was a shareware version of DooM which was available on a sampler FPS pack which if I recall right is also the very same way that Heretic was learned about as well. Honestly... until after playing the superb Westwood Studios game "Command and Conquer" [which I had played only after KKND] -- DooM was not a game any of us at the time had played. So when the game came to be available [much thanks to my elder brother having a Compaq Presario with 0.79 gigs and Windows 95 on it! BIG stuff at the time! =)] -- we delved into that Shareware version and completed it on just about EVERY level [initially afraid though to try Nightmare mode because we had this thing about wanting to clear all the monsters from the building! XD] The first "DooM 1" game ever played was Ultimate DooM nearly some three years later [after the shareware original] which came into our lives much thanks to a day at Toys 'R' Us [was around 13 years old at the time]. Also at that time Starfox and Killer Instinct became fun games to play--but only at Toys 'R' Us. We did not have anything past the 8-Bit Nintendo at home until long after Sega Dreamcast came out--in-which one holiday our Sister-In-Law was kind enough to share with us a brand-new Sony Playstation! But that is another story completely. ^_^ Back to DooM. =3 Final DooM was actually received around the same time X-Men: Children of The Atom came into my family for the Windows 95 and then-new Windows 98 compatible PCs. DooM II had not been played by me and my younger brother until long after Unreal and Quake II had been released [over half a year! Yup!] We still were doing the "I Drive/Jump, You View/Shoot" 2-player-FPS-style-of-play we had unofficially developed while playing our very first FPS ever: Raven Software/Strategic Simulations, Inc. Cyclones! ^_^ Just before DooM II we had just recently completed a shareware version of Duke Nukem 3D together =) Then things changed. Doom II was the very last FPS game played in-joint as we had. StepMANIA and DooM 3 Steps-chart! ********** In 2004 the theme song for this game is part of the reason of my very existence. Although at the time I had no idea who did the music--whether the music would play as background in the game or otherwise--I honestly did not care. On OCRemix was where I first found the song and thought to myself, "WHOA! Wonder what the original sounds like!" It turned out the song uploaded WAS the original and I could not have been more satisfied with my first hearing of the song soon to become a staple Stepchart in my life. Completion of the stepchart and sharing on Bemanistyle in 2004 yielded very positive results, but to this day I have not been more proud of a stepchart for outside reasons. =) This stepchart is indeed the very favorite stepchart of my then-9-year-old-newphew. =) It was quite amazing to me to that two-years later--my nephew STILL recalled the "really fun really hard" [to him! XD] DooM song. One of his first requests upon seeing his uncle two years later was--"Can I play the DooM song?" At first... I had no idea what... oh! Stepmania was booted up and for the first time in his life--he passed the 4-foot Light Level! =D Creating this stepchart was certainly far from simple. o.o Although listening to the song [especially with rhythm-clapper/Assist tick turned on] it may be simple to imagine the music is all played at the same tempo--it's not. There are subtle BPM shifts throughout the song and because of this--this was not a simple stepchart to make and manifest as it is formed. To be honest... there were times when I almost wanted to discontinue the stepchart and other times which I thought only Oni-Challenge steps would be sufficient. But having heard from players of all levels on this specific stepchart [including my own nephew! =D] I could not be more proud of having taken the time to see this stepchart from beginning to end as the chart has been shaped with Light, Standard [Trick], Heavy, and Challenge [ONI!] steps! =D Please Enjoy! =D And DO pass! Revolution!! ^_^ Avoiding DooM In Digital Places ^_^ ********** While still an adolescent the classic video game involving a single marine stranded on a Moonbase where his comrades had been transformed into mindless blood-thirsty zombies toting pistol, shotguns, and chainguns alongside an experiment gone wrong that opened portals to Hell and outer dimensions allowing aliens with cruel intent and demons from the proverbial underworld [some know as "Hell"] onto the Moonbase Phobos. The single marine carrying only his knuckles and a pistol at first -- was given the task of saving humanity from itself and the threat of out-worlds. All in a week's task for my younger brother and me at the time! =3 Although DooM certainly is a staple in my life... and to this day--few games besides Heretic and Duke Nukem are as much fun of as an FPS to me personally! =) The video game DooM actually was SECOND to come into my life. The first FPS game I ever played alongside my younger brother was a game that was found in a package of about 15 other games for the then-new Windows 95 Computer! =) The game was shaped by an excellent company known as Raven Software [who created Heretic later by the way =3] and published by Strategic simulations, Inc. in 1994. The game is known by the name of "Cyclones." "Cyclones" began a collaboration between my younger brother and me that to this day I value and cherish. =) Because at the time [I was around eleven or twelve and Windows 95 was one of very few public OSs] there was little comprehension for my elder brothers, my younger brother or younger sister and myself--of how to go about playing a video game that had players use both the keyboard AND mouse at the same time... I would "drive" [walk, run, jump] and my younger brother would "shoot" and look around, and handle weapons! It SO rocked! XD This collaboration carried us through "DooM" as well as later "Heretic" and "Cyclones." It was not until Quake II came into our lives of my family that we slowly learned how to use both the mouse as well as the keyboard in order to look around and to fire! Even this took some time--as we each initially played with the "Mouse Look" toggled off and resulted to the "Heretic Style" "Number Pad" to do all looking around, aiming, running, walking, and firing! It wasn't until one of my elder brothers [founder of MGCM] installed an independent Intranet where we were able to play Quake II in multiplayer mode between one another that we finally began to break free of our "Keyboard Only" style of play. I was around 15 at the time. =) These memories are certainly quite cherished and will likely not ever be forgotten or replaced. To this day, games like DooM, Heretic, Duke Nukem and Cyclones remain some of my most fond and most fun of memories. The fact of the matter is that the in-depth stories, the "Hero Saving Humanity" and the "Man versus Monster" take of these styles of games have continued to stick with me for quite some time on a personal level. Although I have played some of the newer FPS games--there is simply just something fun about battling monsters and other-world-hate-driven aliens in an FPS versus the seemingly modern FPS which seems to emphasis "War Zone Tactics" and "Human versus Human" story lines which certainly may intrigue--but personally for me are honestly... a lot less fun than DooM, Heretic, Cyclones or Duke Nukem. =) Delving Into The Steps Leading From DooM! >=O ********** The very first DooM I ever played was a shareware version of DooM which was available on a sampler FPS pack which if I recall right is also the very same way that Heretic was learned about as well. Honestly... until after playing the superb Westwood Studios game "Command and Conquer" [which I had played only after KKND] -- DooM was not a game any of us at the time had played. So when the game came to be available [much thanks to my elder brother having a Compaq Presario with 0.79 gigs and Windows 95 on it! BIG stuff at the time! =)] -- we delved into that Shareware version and completed it on just about EVERY level [initially afraid though to try Nightmare mode because we had this thing about wanting to clear all the monsters from the building! XD] The first "DooM 1" game ever played was Ultimate DooM nearly some three years later [after the shareware original] which came into our lives much thanks to a day at Toys 'R' Us [was around 13 years old at the time]. Also at that time Starfox and Killer Instinct became fun games to play--but only at Toys 'R' Us. We did not have anything past the 8-Bit Nintendo at home until long after Sega Dreamcast came out--in-which one holiday our Sister-In-Law was kind enough to share with us a brand-new Sony Playstation! But that is another story completely. ^_^ Back to DooM. =3 Final DooM was actually received around the same time X-Men: Children of The Atom came into my family for the Windows 95 and then-new Windows 98 compatible PCs. DooM II had not been played by me and my younger brother until long after Unreal and Quake II had been released [over half a year! Yup!] We still were doing the "I Drive/Jump, You View/Shoot" 2-player-FPS-style-of-play we had unofficially developed while playing our very first FPS ever: Raven Software/Strategic Simulations, Inc. Cyclones! ^_^ Just before DooM II we had just recently completed a shareware version of Duke Nukem 3D together =) Then things changed. Doom II was the very last FPS game played in-joint as we had. StepMANIA and DooM 3 Steps-chart! ********** In 2004 the theme song for this game is part of the reason of my very existence. Although at the time I had no idea who did the music--whether the music would play as background in the game or otherwise--I honestly did not care. On OCRemix was where I first found the song and thought to myself, "WHOA! Wonder what the original sounds like!" It turned out the song uploaded WAS the original and I could not have been more satisfied with my first hearing of the song soon to become a staple Stepchart in my life. Completion of the stepchart and sharing on Bemanistyle in 2004 yielded very positive results, but to this day I have not been more proud of a stepchart for outside reasons. =) This stepchart is indeed the very favorite stepchart of my then-9-year-old-newphew. =) It was quite amazing to me to that two-years later--my nephew STILL recalled the "really fun really hard" [to him! XD] DooM song. One of his first requests upon seeing his uncle two years later was--"Can I play the DooM song?" At first... I had no idea what... oh! Stepmania was booted up and for the first time in his life--he passed the 4-foot Light Level! =D Creating this stepchart was certainly far from simple. o.o Although listening to the song [especially with rhythm-clapper/Assist tick turned on] it may be simple to imagine the music is all played at the same tempo--it's not. There are subtle BPM shifts throughout the song and because of this--this was not a simple stepchart to make and manifest as it is formed. To be honest... there were times when I almost wanted to discontinue the stepchart and other times which I thought only Oni-Challenge steps would be sufficient. But having heard from players of all levels on this specific stepchart [including my own nephew! =D] I could not be more proud of having taken the time to see this stepchart from beginning to end as the chart has been shaped with Light, Standard [Trick], Heavy, and Challenge [ONI!] steps! =D Please Enjoy! =D And DO pass! It wasn't until one of my elder brothers [founder of MGCM] installed an independent Intranet where we were able to play Quake II in multiplayer mode between one another that we finally began to break free of our "Keyboard Only" style of play. I was around 15 at the time. =) These memories are certainly quite cherished and will likely not ever be forgotten or replaced. To this day, games like DooM, Heretic, Duke Nukem and Cyclones remain some of my most fond and most fun of memories. The fact of the matter is that the in-depth stories, the "Hero Saving Humanity" and the "Man versus Monster" take of these styles of games have continued to stick with me for quite some time on a personal level. Honestly... until after playing the superb Westwood Studios game "Command and Conquer" [which I had played only after KKND] -- DooM was not a game any of us at the time had played. So when the game came to be available [much thanks to my elder brother having a Compaq Presario with 0.79 gigs and Windows 95 on it! BIG stuff at the time! =)] -- we delved into that Shareware version and completed it on just about EVERY level [initially afraid though to try Nightmare mode because we had this thing about wanting to clear all the monsters from the building! XD] The first "DooM 1" game ever played was Ultimate DooM nearly some three years later [after the shareware original] which came into our lives much thanks to a day at Toys 'R' Us [was around 13 years old at the time]. Also at that time Starfox and Killer Instinct became fun games to play--but only at Toys 'R' Us. We did not have anything past the 8-Bit Nintendo at home until long after Sega Dreamcast came out--in-which one holiday our Sister-In-Law was kind enough to share with us a brand-new Sony Playstation! But that is another story completely. ^_^ Back to DooM. =3 Final DooM was actually received around the same time X-Men: Children of The Atom came into my family for the Windows 95 and then-new Windows 98 compatible PCs. DooM II had not been played by me and my younger brother until long after Unreal and Quake II had been released [over half a year! Yup!] We still were doing the "I Drive/Jump, You View/Shoot" 2-player-FPS-style-of-play we had unofficially developed while playing our very first FPS ever: Raven Software/Strategic Simulations, Inc. Cyclones! ^_^ Just before DooM II we had just recently completed a shareware version of Duke Nukem 3D together =) Then things changed. Doom II was the very last FPS game played in-joint as we had. StepMANIA and DooM 3 Steps-chart! ********** In 2004 the theme song for this game is part of the reason of my very existence. Although at the time I had no idea who did the music--whether the music would play as background in the game or otherwise--I honestly did not care. On OCRemix was where I first found the song and thought to myself, "WHOA! Wonder what the original sounds like!" It turned out the song uploaded WAS the original and I could not have been more satisfied with my first hearing of the song soon to become a staple Stepchart in my life. Completion of the stepchart and sharing on Bemanistyle in 2004 yielded very positive results, but to this day I have not been more proud of a stepchart for outside reasons. =) This stepchart is indeed the very favorite stepchart of my then-9-year-old-newphew. =) It was quite amazing to me to that two-years later--my nephew STILL recalled the "really fun really hard" [to him! XD] DooM song. One of his first requests upon seeing his uncle two years later was--"Can I play the DooM song?" At first... I had no idea what... oh! Stepmania was booted up and for the first time in his life--he passed the 4-foot Light Level! =D Creating this stepchart was certainly far from simple. o.o Although listening to the song [especially with rhythm-clapper/Assist tick turned on] it may be simple to imagine the music is all played at the same tempo--it's not. There are subtle BPM shifts throughout the song and because of this--this was not a simple stepchart to make and manifest as it is formed. To be honest... there were times when I almost wanted to discontinue the stepchart and other times which I thought only Oni-Challenge steps would be sufficient. But having heard from players of all levels on this specific stepchart [including my own nephew! =D] I could not be more proud of having taken the time to see this stepchart from beginning to end as the chart has been shaped with Light, Standard [Trick], Heavy, and Challenge [ONI!] steps! =D Please Enjoy! =D And DO pass! On OCRemix was where I first found the song and thought to myself, "WHOA! Wonder what the original sounds like!" It turned out the song uploaded WAS the original and I could not have been more satisfied with my first hearing of the song soon to become a staple Stepchart in my life. Completion of the stepchart and sharing on Bemanistyle in 2004 yielded very positive results, but to this day I have not been more proud of a stepchart for outside reasons. =) This stepchart is indeed the very favorite stepchart of my then-9-year-old-newphew. =) It was quite amazing to me to that two-years later--my nephew STILL recalled the "really fun really hard" [to him! XD] DooM song. One of his first requests upon seeing his uncle two years later was--"Can I play the DooM song?" At first... I had no idea what... oh! Stepmania was booted up and for the first time in his life--he passed the 4-foot Light Level! =D Creating this stepchart was certainly far from simple. o.o Although listening to the song [especially with rhythm-clapper/Assist tick turned on] it may be simple to imagine the music is all played at the same tempo--it's not. There are subtle BPM shifts throughout the song and because of this--this was not a simple stepchart to make and manifest as it is formed. To be honest... there were times when I almost wanted to discontinue the stepchart and other times which I thought only Oni-Challenge steps would be sufficient. But having heard from players of all levels on this specific stepchart [including my own nephew! =D] I could not be more proud of having taken the time to see this stepchart from beginning to end as the chart has been shaped with Light, Standard [Trick], Heavy, and Challenge [ONI!] steps! =D Please Enjoy! =D And DO pass! Dance! Revolution!! ^_^ Avoiding DooM In Digital Places ^_^ ********** While still an adolescent the classic video game involving a single marine stranded on a Moonbase where his comrades had been transformed into mindless blood-thirsty zombies toting pistol, shotguns, and chainguns alongside an experiment gone wrong that opened portals to Hell and outer dimensions allowing aliens with cruel intent and demons from the proverbial underworld [some know as "Hell"] onto the Moonbase Phobos. The single marine carrying only his knuckles and a pistol at first -- was given the task of saving humanity from itself and the threat of out-worlds. All in a week's task for my younger brother and me at the time! =3 Although DooM certainly is a staple in my life... and to this day--few games besides Heretic and Duke Nukem are as much fun of as an FPS to me personally! =) The video game DooM actually was SECOND to come into my life. The first FPS game I ever played alongside my younger brother was a game that was found in a package of about 15 other games for the then-new Windows 95 Computer! =) The game was shaped by an excellent company known as Raven Software [who created Heretic later by the way =3] and published by Strategic simulations, Inc. in 1994. The game is known by the name of "Cyclones." "Cyclones" began a collaboration between my younger brother and me that to this day I value and cherish. =) Because at the time [I was around eleven or twelve and Windows 95 was one of very few public OSs] there was little comprehension for my elder brothers, my younger brother or younger sister and myself--of how to go about playing a video game that had players use both the keyboard AND mouse at the same time... I would "drive" [walk, run, jump] and my younger brother would "shoot" and look around, and handle weapons! It SO rocked! XD This collaboration carried us through "DooM" as well as later "Heretic" and "Cyclones." It was not until Quake II came into our lives of my family that we slowly learned how to use both the mouse as well as the keyboard in order to look around and to fire! Even this took some time--as we each initially played with the "Mouse Look" toggled off and resulted to the "Heretic Style" "Number Pad" to do all looking around, aiming, running, walking, and firing! It wasn't until one of my elder brothers [founder of MGCM] installed an independent Intranet where we were able to play Quake II in multiplayer mode between one another that we finally began to break free of our "Keyboard Only" style of play. I was around 15 at the time. =) These memories are certainly quite cherished and will likely not ever be forgotten or replaced. To this day, games like DooM, Heretic, Duke Nukem and Cyclones remain some of my most fond and most fun of memories. The fact of the matter is that the in-depth stories, the "Hero Saving Humanity" and the "Man versus Monster" take of these styles of games have continued to stick with me for quite some time on a personal level. Although I have played some of the newer FPS games--there is simply just something fun about battling monsters and other-world-hate-driven aliens in an FPS versus the seemingly modern FPS which seems to emphasis "War Zone Tactics" and "Human versus Human" story lines which certainly may intrigue--but personally for me are honestly... a lot less fun than DooM, Heretic, Cyclones or Duke Nukem. =) Delving Into The Steps Leading From DooM! >=O ********** The very first DooM I ever played was a shareware version of DooM which was available on a sampler FPS pack which if I recall right is also the very same way that Heretic was learned about as well. Honestly... until after playing the superb Westwood Studios game "Command and Conquer" [which I had played only after KKND] -- DooM was not a game any of us at the time had played. So when the game came to be available [much thanks to my elder brother having a Compaq Presario with 0.79 gigs and Windows 95 on it! BIG stuff at the time! =)] -- we delved into that Shareware version and completed it on just about EVERY level [initially afraid though to try Nightmare mode because we had this thing about wanting to clear all the monsters from the building! XD] The first "DooM 1" game ever played was Ultimate DooM nearly some three years later [after the shareware original] which came into our lives much thanks to a day at Toys 'R' Us [was around 13 years old at the time]. Also at that time Starfox and Killer Instinct became fun games to play--but only at Toys 'R' Us. We did not have anything past the 8-Bit Nintendo at home until long after Sega Dreamcast came out--in-which one holiday our Sister-In-Law was kind enough to share with us a brand-new Sony Playstation! But that is another story completely. ^_^ Back to DooM. =3 Final DooM was actually received around the same time X-Men: Children of The Atom came into my family for the Windows 95 and then-new Windows 98 compatible PCs. DooM II had not been played by me and my younger brother until long after Unreal and Quake II had been released [over half a year! Yup!] We still were doing the "I Drive/Jump, You View/Shoot" 2-player-FPS-style-of-play we had unofficially developed while playing our very first FPS ever: Raven Software/Strategic Simulations, Inc. Cyclones! ^_^ Just before DooM II we had just recently completed a shareware version of Duke Nukem 3D together =) Then things changed. Doom II was the very last FPS game played in-joint as we had. StepMANIA and DooM 3 Steps-chart! ********** In 2004 the theme song for this game is part of the reason of my very existence.
