Luck & 6 digits changed it all for the trio TNN, Apr 27, 2011, 01.12am IST MUMBAI: For Mulund resident Bharat Thakkar, a paltry sum of Rs 10, a set of six digits and a stroke of luck completely turned his life around recently when he hit a jackpot of Rs 11.87 crore. Wary of the attention his newfound wealth is likely to bring him, Thakkar chooses to be reticent and veil his exuberance even as the lottery company lines up celebrations for his win on Tuesday. The 36-year-old has been closely guarding the good news for days. "I want it to be a surprise for my wife," is all he divulges. Admitting that the "rich feeling" and the sudden spotlight were all new for him, Thakkar apparently does not want to take any risk. Still unsure of how he will spend his bounty, the former real estate agent philosophically says he will follow the path life takes for him. Thakkar is among two other winners of the Playwin lottery organized through the Sikkim government. "This is the largest sum we have given out at one shot," said Tsegyal Tashi, director Sikkim state lotteries, Sikkim government.

BY BARBARA MANINGAT ANCHOR JENNIFER MECKLES You're watching multisource U.S. news analysis from Newsy. A Los Angeles County detective finally saw a suspect convicted for a 2004 gang murder case, but the evidence had been under his nose the whole time -- literally. Anthony Garcia is a member of a gang called Rivera -13. He tattooed a detailed depiction of the crime scene at a liquor store in Pico Rivera -- on his chest -- and that’s how detectives caught him. (Video from KTLA) Homicide detective Kevin Lloyd was working as a station sergeant when he was called to the liquor store shootout. The case went unsolved until he spotted the tattoo when sifting through mug shots for another case in 2008. Los Angeles’ KTLA interviews Lloyd about the breakthrough. LLOYD: “Light pole, street sign, the building next door, and even the way the victim had been shot -- I then reviewed the files and I even noticed in 2004, there had been Christmas lights on and you can see that on the picture under the liquor store.” All the characters were there, too. The LA Times reports Garcia, also known by his gang nickname “Chopper,” is shown raining bullets on the peanut in the liquor store parking lot. “Peanut” refers to a rival gang member. (Video from KTLA) After officers tracked Garcia down, they sent an undercover cop into his cell to capture a solid confession. Garcia was caught on tape bragging about his tattoo and the shooting. Another officer tells the LA Times, the fact that Lloyd recognized the scene four years later is a stroke of luck. "The detective who spotted it had been a Pico sergeant who went on to become a homicide sergeant. I never worked Pico station. I never would have recognized that Pico liquor store." The case has the media, blogosphere and other officers rolling. One LA Weekly blogger is dumbfounded by Garcia’s artistic decision. “...detailing the impressive details of your crime on Facebook is one thing -- the Internet is forever -- but getting them permanently tattooed into your flesh, with the distinct possibility that you could one day be taking a shirtless mug shot, is almost inconceivably dumb.” But the deputy district attorney tells NineMSN, stupidity had nothing to do with it. "I would never say that he's not intelligent... He was able to avoid detection for four years ... his arrogance got the better of him, not a lack of intelligence." Garcia was convicted for first-degree murder and will be sentenced in May. Follow Newsy_Videos on Twitter Get more multisource video news analysis from Newsy. Transcript by Newsy

Just for you ... my Sweetheart, ---------------------------------------- * I THINK OF YOU * I wake, I think of you It's sunny, I think of you Someone calls me, I speak, I think of you With her, I think of you What time tonight, I think of you Where are we going - she asks, I think of you I do not even know where you are Nor what you've become But it is not really important Our steps are lost in the city Toward new paths Who only crossed by strokes of luck ... by chance It is getting late, I think of you If we're returning, I think of you I have not been very funny tonight I have thought of you We make love, I think of you Every ordinary days, I think of you I do not sleep, I think of you I do not even know where you are Nor what you've become But it is not really important Our steps are lost in the city Toward new paths Who only crossed by strokes of luck ... by chance I think of you ... I think of you The night ends, I think of you Even when I dream, I think of you I smoke another cigarette, I think of you The day rises, I think of you Eyes half closed, I think of you I no longer sleep, I think of you I think of you ... Hi! I am Dr K Chaudhry, developer of Horoscope Software, Janampatri - available free for online and offline use. You have been viewing over 500 video songs. I receive comments on two extremes. I am grateful to viewers who appreciated my humble attempt. I am grateful to others too who gifted me their valuable time. It may be my debatable personal opinion but I strongly feel that obscene abusive language should be avoided in comments. I never claimed to be a trained or professional singer. Nor is that required to upload videos on public sites. Today I am with you for the first time as an astrologer. 1st May 2008 is very close. I visualise 16 golden months from that date upto 09 September 2009 for you if you have Moon in Pisces in your birth chart. With Saturn in 6th house and Rahu in 11th Even the worst performance would be rewarded. Even a stone thrown at you would touch you as stroke of luck. I am experimenting with video recording methods. Complete feature shall be uploaded in a day. Thank you !

Two dudes are fighting in the middle of the street in NYC. (Typical.) They're playing tug-o-war over a painting (less typical) and while a girl is filming this ridic fight, literally OUT OF NOWHERE Ryan Gosling walks in (REALLY REALLY not typical). He steps into the quarrel and when he spots this altercation, he immediately tries to break it up (HEART OF GOLD!). Ryan drops his shopping bag (NOT MATERIALISTIC!) and throws his GIANT, THROBBING man muscle of an arm against the perpetrator and when he spots Ry Ry's huge guns, he throws his hands up in defeat. By some crazy stroke of luck, Ryan decided to wear a striped and nautical-inspired tank the VERY day his bulging biceps would come in handy. THEREFORE, his tank top basically saved the day. Would the story have played out differently if he was wearing a baggy hoodie? YES. You can't see all that rock hard steel beneath layers of cotton, people. Pure brawn speaks louder than any words you could POSSIBLY say to these angry gentleman, and for THAT, we should all give a nice, HUGE round of applause to Ryan Gosling's tank top. It saved the day AND gave us a nice show of what those bad boys can do.

The clip planning to catch shark from Jaws 3-D (1983) with P.H. Moriarty, Louis Gossett Jr. My guv'nor's the 16th Earl of Haddenfield. Shake hands with the first Calvin of Sea World. Enchanté. He know French too, huh? Excuse me, Mr Bouchard... Wait a minute. We're havin' dinner here. This better be important. It is, sir. Mike and Dr Morgan were pursued by a shark. It is important. Come with me. Calvin, it was a great white. Ten feet long, exhibiting a typical feeding pattern. On us, Calvin! The damn thing tried to feed on us. Where is it? Right here. Huh? You know, Cal, this could be a stroke of luck. If we kill this beastie on camera... I can guarantee you media coverage. Lure him into a staging area, and at the precise moment, slit his belly wide open. Can you do that? You try and stop 'im, mate. That's how we earn our bread. Well, Jack is oversimplifying matters, as is usual. But... yeah, I can do that. No! No? What do you mean, no? I don't know if it's occurred to any of you-all, but there isn't a great white alive in captivity anywhere. Now, we're unique here, Calvin, you know that. If any facility can maintain a white, it's us. If we could dart him, w-we could get him in a holding tank... Hold it! This is crazy, this is nuts. White sharks are killers. I know 'em. My father, my brother, myself. They're murderers. No, Kay. Calvin, they die magnificently. That would really be a spectacular event. No doubt about that, huh?
