Swords & Soldiers 3D review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Swords & Soldiers 3D on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS from CIRCLE Entertainment. Swords & Soldiers 3D is a side-scrolling strategy game with an ancient flavor. Playing as either the vikings, Aztecs or ancient Chinese, you must defend your tower while attacking your opponents. Placing soldiers costs money, so you'll also have to place miners. The action takes place on a 2D plane, resulting in a unique kind of side-scrolling RTS. The battles are as fun as they are tricky in this WiiWare classic, but on the 3DS, they're also a bit frustrating. This version suffers from a noticeably bad framerate, as well as a clunky interface and some difficult touch controls. Still, if you've never played the original, Swords & Soldiers 3D is at least worth a look. This video review features video gameplay footage of Swords & Soldiers 3D on the eShop for the Nintendo 3DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
