Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 Lymphatic drainage is the natural function of the lymphatic system, which is an essential part of immunity. If this function isn't working properly, it can cause a build-up of fluid in tissues as well as more serious medical problems like lymphagitis and lymphoma. Though most of the conditions caused by poor lymphatic drainage are treatable, some require prompt hospitalization and immediate medical care, since they can easily spread throughout the body. There is also a type of therapeutic massage called Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) to help this system work and to treat some of the conditions associated with the lymphatic system. Lymphatic System The lymphatic system is made up of a network of thin tubes that run throughout the body called lymph vessels and oval-shaped organs called lymph nodes, which collect and filter lymph. As blood flows throughout the body, a thin, yellow fluid called plasma leaks out from blood vessels and mixes with interstitial fluid and water to surround the cells in different tissues. This mixture contains food for the cells, blood cells that are important for immunity, and also waste put out by the cells. It drains into the lymph vessels, after which it is called lymph, and is then transported to lymph nodes, which contain immune cells. Since the lymphatic system doesn't have any way to move the fluid on its own, it relies on the movement from muscles in the body to push the fluid along, and valves to keep the fluid going in the right direction. Once in the lymph nodes, the fluid is filtered, any disease-causing organisms are killed. Other organs that work with this system include the spleen, which takes out dead or damaged red blood cells and contains white blood cells to fight disease, and the thymus, which produces more white blood cells. The tonsils and adenoids also work with this system and protect the digestive system and respiratory system specifically.

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 The effect of mercury exposure depends on the type of mercury. In general, mercury tends to affect the nervous system. This means that unborn babies and children are at more risk because their nervous systems are developing. People at higher risk from mercury exposure include: * unborn babies * infants * children up to six years of age * workers in industrial settings where mercury is used or produced * people with kidney disease * people born before the 1950s who were exposed to mercury in baby products and contracted pink disease. Pregnant women should avoid mercury so that it is not transmitted to their unborn baby via the bloodstream. Levels of mercury in breastmilk are normally not high enough to be a risk for babies.

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 Lymph Drainage Massage Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDT) encourages the body to process and remove stagnant fluid, toxins and wastes as a result of improved lymph flow. As lymph fluid passes through lymph nodes, the body generates production of more lymphocytes to reinforce immune response and support antibodies against foreign substances. The lymphatic system collects excess fluids in the body and serves as a filtering system to screen out foreign pathogens. This system is a networked chain of vessels spaced throughout the body that drains lymph fluid from surrounding tissues and discharges it back into the bloodstream. The main functions of the lymph system are to manage fluid levels and filter out bacteria, as well as containing leukocytes (white blood cells) as part of the immune system. Lymph fluid is filtered through the spleen, thymus gland, and lymph nodes before being emptied back into the blood. Lymphatic flow can stagnate for many reasons such as swelling, chronic inflammation, lack of physical activity, stress, age, fatigue, and tight-fitting clothing. Diminished lymph circulation results in less effective cell regeneration. This permits toxins and proteins to accumulate around the cells, leading to cellular de-oxygenation. For the overwhelming majority, aeration and cooling system simply tosses cool air at the temperature one sets it at. Is that because it might, will it really worked that way? Truth is told ventilation amid cooling method, takes the indoor air, cools it by going it through evaporator curl and tosses it back within the area. It is terribly inverse to the however our nice previous air coolers won’t to work. Air coolers won’t to take outside air, settle down with water and toss it in. In any case, aeration and cooling systems merely chip away at within air.

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 The skin provides a remarkably good barrier against bacterial infections. Although many bacteria come in contact with or reside on the skin, they are normally unable to establish an infection. When bacterial skin infections do occur, they can range in size from a tiny spot to the entire body surface. They can range in seriousness as well, from harmless to life threatening. Many types of bacteria can infect the skin. The most common are Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. Skin infections caused by less common bacteria may develop in people while hospitalized or living in a nursing home, while gardening, or while swimming in a pond, lake, or ocean. Some people are at particular risk of developing skin infections. For example, people with diabetes are likely to have poor blood flow, especially to the hands and feet, and the high levels of sugar (glucose) in their blood decrease the ability of white blood cells to fight infections. People who are older, who have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) or AIDS or other immune disorders, or hepatitis, and who are undergoing chemotherapy or treatment with other drugs that suppress the immune system are at higher risk as well because they have a weakened immune system. Skin that is inflamed or damaged by sunburn, scratching, or other trauma is more likely to become infected. In fact, any break in the skin predisposes a person to infection. Prevention involves keeping the skin undamaged and clean. When the skin is cut or scraped, the injury should be washed with soap and water and covered with a sterile bandage. Petrolatum may be applied to open areas to keep the tissue moist and to try to prevent bacterial invasion. Doctors recommend that people do not use antibiotic ointments (prescription or nonprescription) on uninfected minor wounds because of the risk of developing an allergy to the antibiotic. However, an antibiotic ointment is used if an infection develops.
