The words “alembic” and “alcohol”, both metaphors for aqua vitae or “life water” and “spirit”, often refer to a distilled liquid that came from magical explorations in Middle Eastern alchemy.
In the words of writer and health enthusiast, Jason Christoff – “In alchemy, alcohol is used to extract the soul essence of an entity. Hence its’ use in extracting essences for essential oils, and the sterilization of medical instruments. By consuming alcohol into the body, it in effect extracts the very essence of the soul, allowing the body to be more susceptible to neighboring entities most of which are of low frequencies (why do you think we call certain alcoholic beverages “SPIRITS?”). That is why people who consume excessive amounts of alcohol often black out, not remembering what happened. This happens when the good soul (we were sent here with) leaves because the living conditions are too polluted and too traumatic to tolerate. The good soul jettisons the body, staying connected to a tether, and a dark entity takes the body for a joy ride around the block, often in a hedonistic and self-serving illogical rampage. Our bodies are cars for spirits. If one leaves, another can take the car for a ride. Essentially when someone goes dark after drinking alcohol or polluting themselves in many other ways, their body often becomes possessed by another entity.”

‘How Do You Know’ begs the question of knowing when to stop, give up and walk away. The track sets the scene of a heartbreak, but the sentiment behind the words apply to any area of our lives. From the outset, troubled, tumbling drum beats catapult the listener into an unsettled juxtaposition of torment; powerful and potent, yet somehow mapping out a confused inner struggle. ‘How Do You Know’ sets the tone and delivers the feeling before the crystalline vocals of Laura Bradley unfold expertly crafted lyrics which add the colour to the canvass of trouble sketched out boldly by the beat. Every now and again we have the unsettling experience that a question we’ve been asking has already been answered. The decision looming on the horizon is already made; the fork in the road is illuminated with a bright red “go here” arrow. And yet it feels like the tether to our mooring has come inexplicably undone. We check our heart.... and what we find is that the drama is over, the extremes are missing, the pain has softened and we are beginning to breathe again. The fallout might be emptiness, but in that emptiness we are left with the feeling that nothing is wrong. And we know. It is over. It is time to pack up the emotional baggage and be done. Move on. In the absence of suffering comes the quiet answer to our question…

AT&T is putting shackles on the customers who have jailbroken their iPhones. They’ve caught onto customers who are sharing their iPhone’s mobile Internet connection-- or tethering-- without paying for AT&T’s tethering plan.
The email jail-breaking AT&T users got ominously says, “We’ve noticed your service plan may need updating” and then details how-- if tethering does not stop-- AT&T will automatically upgrade the customer to its tethering plan, which adds $20 each month on top of their data charges.
If the tethering ends, no changes will occur. ZDNet notes-- this comes as a surprise for many users who thought AT&T was in the dark.
“... the carrier is making it crystal clear to customers that it can tell who is using the unauthorized tethering. Users have long felt that the carrier cannot tell when they are using such tethering, but AT&T begs to differ.”
And Read Write Web wonders-- how should we take this news?
“Is this an unjust restriction on the use of data we’ve already paid for? Is it a logical move to keep the whole of the network sustainable at a time of heavy demand? Is it, in a way, good news to know ... you’ll still be allowed to use tethering if you just pay a small monthly fee?”
Switched says AT&T is in the right, despite popular sentiment otherwise.
“It’s something AT&T has every right to do, but is thought to be rather a [rude] move by users who feel they should be able to use their plans as they please.”
But GigaOM says-- many customers will be taking this news hard.
“I understand AT&T wanting to protect its network and its bottom line by cracking down on bandwidth hogs, but it’ll be interesting to see whether this hardline approach ultimately does more to harm customer goodwill than it does to hinder unapproved usage.”
And The Unofficial Apple Weblog notes AT&T might just be using scare tactics.
“ ... I’d imagine AT&T isn’t interested in catching every last person doing this. It’d be sufficient to catch enough people to generate a PR hullabaloo. The fear of punitive charges would effectively discourage everyone else.”

Centuries after a plague decimated humanity, new societies have arisen in the ruins and outskirts of a fallen civilization. In the midst of conflicts between the descendants of the plague's survivors, mysterious beings descend from the sky, setting off a bizarre series of events that promise to change this new world forever.
TETHER is a feature we're working on, currently in pre-production. This scene takes place before the events of the film...

At the beginning of the long road to space exploration, NASA pushes to build a real elevator between Earth and outer space. A team of aerospace scientists and technologists responded by creating the strongest rope in the world. Stretching between the balance of their personal and work lives, this team still must push forward beyond rockets and hold the world of space travel on a string.
