I grew up watching his dance moves and till date he is and will be my inspiration as my dancing guru. Whatever little dancing i know its just for Michael Jackson. I still remember and treasure the day i went for his concert, but did not have the money to buy the pass for the concert in Mumbai. However, i managed to get on the terrace top of one of the nearby buildings from where we watched the concert from backstage via a telescope at some instances to get the closest glimpse and sight of the King of Pop. Finally after the show got over we got down to the roads from where he was about to pass by for his hotel, amidst all the security i happen to watch Michael and got the slightest touch of his hand when he waived out of his vehicle to millions of fan for a while......and after that i could not resists yelling and shouting out loud that " I have seen him.... I have seen him .... I saw Michael Jackson" - love you forever Michael and you will always live forever.

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer and businessman. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he made his debut onto the professional music scene in 1968 at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5. He then began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the "King of Pop" in subsequent years, his 1982 album Thriller remains the world's best-selling album of all time[3] and four of his other solo studio albums are among the world's best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995). In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller"—widely credited with transforming the music video from a promotional tool into an art form—helped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists across several generations. Jackson donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes through his foundations, charity singles, and support of 39 charities. Other aspects of his personal life, including his often changing appearances and eccentric behavior, generated significant controversy which damaged his public image. Though he was accused of child sexual abuse in 1993, the criminal investigation was closed due to lack of evidence and Jackson was not charged. The singer had experienced health concerns since the early 1990s and conflicting reports regarding the state of his finances since the late 1990s. Jackson married twice and fathered three children, actions which caused further controversy. In 2005, Jackson was tried and acquitted of further sexual abuse allegations and several other charges. One of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records—including one for "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"—13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career, and the sale of 750 million records worldwide. At the time of his death, he was preparing for This Is It, a series of 50 concerts that would have been held in London beginning July 13, 2009.

Video footage has been released of Jackson rehearsing for the London concerts that never happened. He looked energetic in the pictures taken two days before he died. The King of Pop is brimming with energy and his voice sounds strong as he performs some of his most famous hits for the final time.Jackson looked happy and even joked with his fellow dancers as he rehearsed for 90 minutes until nearly midnight, onlookers said. The video was shot on June 23 at the Staples Centre, in Los Angeles, two days before the star died of a suspected cardiac arrest.Jackson was preparing for his 50-night residency at London's O2 arena, set to begin later this month.Friend Uri Geller said the footage raised a "big question" about what prompted the star's dramatic demise."The question is: What happened from that point to the day that he died?" said Geller."In the photographs I've seen, he looked in shape, he was smiling, he was happy."What happened? That's the big question."Photographer Kevin Mazur, who captured some of Jackson's final moments at the rehearsals, said the star appeared to be back to his best and had an "incredible energy".Mr Mazur, co-founder of WireImage, told the Daily Mirror: "When he hit that stage, everyone was just mesmerised.""He was totally there - 100% there in fact. You would never suspect this would have ever happened - especially after his performance on stage."Meanwhile, Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe said she would fight for custody of her two children Prince Michael, 12, and Paris Michael, 11.She told NBC Los Angeles she was prepared to undergo DNA and psychological testing in a bid to win guardianship.Ms Rowe gave up custody of her children with Jackson after the couple divorced in 1999.But there remains debate as to whether she legally signed away full parental rights in doing so.The two children are currently with Jackson's mother, Katherine, who was granted temporary custody by a Los Angeles court earlier this week.
