Haruka enters Akira's room and stops her from burning something, which is the doctor's missing journal, where it is written that Kazuha and Akira has a chance of mistaken identity. With the journal, he suggests to Yahiro and Kazuha a DNA test to prove things once and for all. Yahiro refuses, but, despite disapproval from her mother, Kazuha agrees. Haruka informs Akira at the shrine the next day that the DNA results will be out in five days, but Akira disappears on the fifth day. Haruka finds her at the train station, where they talk until the evening. When the DNA results arrive that night, Kazuha and Sora delivers it to Akira, who is still at the station, but she buckled, too scared to read it. It is then that Kazuha's mother appears, and tells everything at their home, where Akira is shown the lost pendant, returned to her by someone who found it at the mountains, basing on the name engraved on its back. She reveals that she and Akira's mother had shared the same hospital room, and, one day Akira pulled the pendant off of her neck as Mrs. Migiwa held her in her arms. After hearing that Akira's mother had died, she gave the pendant to her to make her feel, at least, the presence of a mother. Akira then reads the DNA results, and it read negative, which means Akira is born of a different mother. There, Kazuha's mother let her keep the pendant, and apologizes to Akira. She later confesses her love for Haruka and vice versa.

People are constantly exposed to low levels of naturally occurring radiation called background radiation. Background radiation comes from cosmic radiation and from radioactive elements in the air, water, and ground. Cosmic radiation is concentrated at the poles by the earth’s magnetic field and is attenuated by the atmosphere. Thus, exposure is greater for people living at high latitudes, at high altitudes, or both and during airplane flights. Terrestrial sources of external radiation exposure are primarily due to the presence of radioactive elements with half-lives comparable to the age of the earth (~4.5 billion years). In particular, uranium (238U) and thorium (232Th) along with several dozen of their radioactive progeny and a radioactive isotope of potassium (40K) are present in many rocks and minerals. Small quantities of these radionuclides are in the food, water, and air and thus contribute to internal exposure as these radionuclides are invariably incorporated into the body. The majority of the dose from internally incorporated radionuclides is from radioisotopes of carbon (14C) and potassium (40K), and because these and other elements (stable and radioactive forms) are constantly replenished in the body by ingestion and inhalation, there are approximately 7,000 atoms undergoing radioactive decay each second. Internal exposure from the inhalation of radioactive isotopes of the noble gas radon (222Rn and 220Rn), which are also formed from the Uranium (238U) decay series, accounts for the largest portion (73%) of the US population's average per capita naturally occurring radiation dose. Cosmic radiation accounts for 11%, radioactive elements in the body for 9%, and external terrestrial radiation for 7%. In the US, people receive an average effective dose of about 3 millisieverts (mSv)/yr from natural sources (range ~0.5 to 20 mSv/yr). However, in some parts of the world, people receive > 50 mSv/yr. The doses from natural background radiation are far too low

The term "to stage" a cancer means to describe the evident extent of the cancer in the body at the time that the cancer is first diagnosed. The stage of a cancer helps doctors understand the extent of the cancer and plan cancer treatment. Results of the treatment of similar Gleason score prostate cancer found at the same or similar stage can help the doctor and patient to make important decisions about choices of treatment to recommend or to accept. Cancer staging is first described using what is called a TNM system. The "T" refers to a description of the size or extent of the primary, or original, tumor. "N" describes the presence or absence of, and extent of spread of the cancer to lymph nodes that may be nearby or further from the original tumor. "M" describes the presence or absence of metastases -- usually distant areas elsewhere in the body other than regional (nearby) lymph nodes to which the cancer has spread. Cancers with specific TNM characteristics are then grouped into stages, and the stages are then assigned Roman numerals with the numerals used in increasing order as the extent of the cancer being staged increases or the cancer prognosis worsens. Prognosis is finally reflected by considering the patient's PSA score at presentation as well as their Gleason score in assigning a final stage designation. The American Joint Commission on Cancer AJCC system for prostate cancer staging is as follows: T designations refer to the characteristics of the prostate cancer primary tumor. T1 prostate cancers cannot be seen on imaging tests or felt on examination. They may be found incidentally when surgery is done on the prostate for a problem presumed to be benign, or on needle biopsy for an elevated PSA.

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 What Is Lymph Node Inflammation? Lymph nodes, or lymph glands, are small, oval-shaped organs that contain immune cells to attack and kill foreign invaders, such as viruses. They are an important part of the body’s immune system. Lymph nodes are found in various parts of the body, including the neck, armpits, and groin. They are linked by lymphatic vessels, which carry lymph a clear fluid containing white blood cells and dead and diseased tissue for disposal throughout the body. The primary function of lymph nodes is to harbor the body’s disease-fighting cells. When you are sick and your lymph nodes send out disease-fighting cells and compounds, they may become inflamed or painful. The condition of having inflamed lymph nodes is referred to as lymphadenitis. Lymph node inflammation can occur for a variety of reasons. Any infection or virus, including the common cold, can cause your lymph nodes to swell. Cancer–including blood cancer–can also cause lymph node inflammation. What Are the Symptoms of Lymph Node Inflammation? Lymph node inflammation can cause a variety of symptoms, depending on the cause of the swelling and the location of the swollen lymph nodes. Common symptoms accompanying lymph node inflammation include: upper respiratory symptoms, such as a fever, runny nose, or sore throat tender, swollen lymph glands in the neck, armpits, and groin limb swelling could indicate lymph system blockage night sweats hardening and expansion of the lymph nodes could indicate the presence of a tumor

Balanced Health Today Call Now 1(888)277-4980 To diagnose HD, your doctor will perform a physical exam and ask you about your medical history. Your doctor will also order certain tests to make a proper diagnosis. The following tests may be done: * imaging tests, such as X-rays or CT scans * lymph node biopsy, which involves removing a piece of lymph node tissue to test for the presence of abnormal cells * blood tests, such as a complete blood count CBC, to measure levels of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets * immunophenotyping to determine the type of lymphoma cells that are present * lung function tests to determine how well your lungs are working * an echocardiogram to determine how well your heart is working * bone marrow biopsy, which involves the removal and examination of marrow inside your bones to see if the cancer has spread Staging Once an HD diagnosis has been made, the cancer is assigned a stage. Staging describes the extent and severity of the disease. It will help your doctor determine your treatment options and outlook. There are four general stages of HD: * Stage I early stage means that cancer is found in one lymph node region. * Stage II locally advanced disease means that cancer is found in two lymph node regions on one side of the diaphragm, which is the muscle beneath your lung. It may also indicate that cancer was found in one lymph node region as well as in a nearby organ. * Stage III advanced disease means that cancer is found in lymph node regions both above and below your diaphragm. It may also indicate that cancer was found in one lymph node area and in one organ on opposite sides of your diaphragm. * Stage IV widespread disease means that cancer was found outside the lymph nodes and has spread to other parts of your body, such as your bone marrow, liver, or lung.
