Bronson Caves is located in the Hollywood Hills on Canyon Dr.
To get there, head up Canyon Dr. and park in the second parking lot
on the left
Follow the red curb to the trail.
Walk, jog or run about 1/2 a mile to the mouth of the cave.
Once you are there you will realize why movies such as The Scorpion King, Little House on the Prairie, and the Batman TV series were filmed there. Enter the mouth of the cave and walk through one of its tunnels to the other side.
Once you are on the other side, look to your left and you can see the Hollywood sign. Its so close you could throw a rock at it.
The gates are open from sunrise to sunset and parking is free.
Bronson Caves is a inspiring place to see, even if you aren't making a movie.

“Finally... Finally... The Rock has come back to Anaheim! Which means finally the rock has come back... home.” (Sky Sports)
Can you smell what The Rock is cooking? Smells like a comeback. The wrestler-turned-actor gave the crowd on Monday Night Raw a valentine -- announcing he will return to host --- drum roll --- Wrestlemania 27. Since busting out of the ring in 2004, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made bank in Hollywood.
Check this movie list. The Scorpion King, Faster, The Tooth Fairy, Race to ‘W’itch Mountain.
So, why go back on the mat?
A writer for the Washington Post says -- two words -- face time.
“It has the distinct odor of publicity stunt. (Johnson)...used his WWE popularity as a launching pad for a career making a string of meathead-does-good movies...”
But Inside Pulse thinks, it’s not The Great One who’s on the ropes here, it’s the WWE. They note a conference call held by Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon with investors in which the commissioner...
“...noted some “trends” in the fourth quarter that they were not happy with, particularly the decline in live event attendance and the huge 40% drop in home video.”
MTV says, if that’s the case, The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment is just what the listing industry needs.
“… the fact that the Rock has returned is enough to not only keep current fans thrilled but also to bring back people who loved Johnson the first time around.”
But as the Rock says “know your role and shut your mouth.” Johnson tried to end the media speculation on Raw, and told the world why he came back.
“It’s not because of the money. It’s not to promote a movie. I am back in the middle of this ring because of you. I love you, and it is because of you that I’m back in this ring and it’s because of you, and I give you my word, that I am never, ever, going away.”

The Scorpion King (2002) Trailer
The Scorpion King is one of my favourite films (with my favourite actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson)
The Scorpion King is a 2002 film starring Dwayne Johnson, Michael Clarke Duncan, Kelly Hu, Steven Brand, Ralf Moeller and Grant Heslov, and is directed by Chuck Russell. It is a spin-off to The Mummy series, following the story of Mathayus the Scorpion King, the character featured in The Mummy Returns.
The events of The Scorpion King take place 5000 years before those in The Mummy Returns, and reveal Mathayus' origins and his rise to power as the Scorpion King. The name itself is a reference to a real king of the protodynastic period of Ancient Egyptian history, Scorpion II.
