Er weckt sie aus dem Ehe-Dornröschenschlaf und bringt sie dazu, das Gewohnte gegen Unsicherheit und den Kitzel des Neuen einzutauschen, auch wenn sie ihren Mann damit zutiefst verletzt. Sarah Polley ("An ihrer Seite") beweist in ihrer zweiten Regiearbeit erneut Fingerspitzengefühl für ein diffiziles Thema. Die in einem wunderschönen Toronto-Sommer spielende Tragikomödie ist witzig und nachdenklich zugleich, trifft das Lebensgefühl vieler Thirtysomethings. Michelle Williams überzeugt - in bester Gesellschaft mit ihren Kostars Seth Rogen und Luke Kirby - als schüchtern-neugierige Identifikationsfigur mit Mut zur Konsequenz, auch wenn deren Traum vom "walk on the wild side" letztendlich verpufft.
