Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Ticket to Ride, a railroad-construction board game developed by Next Level Games and published in 2008 by Playful Entertainment for the XBox Live Arcade. The board game classic comes to XBLA with this interpretation of Alan Moon's fantastic train-connecting strategy game. Featuring 5-player online support, as well as expansions for the Europe and USA 1910 sets, you can collect your cars and connect your destinations without having to invite actual human beings over. This CGRundertow video game review features video gameplay footage of Ticket to Ride for the XBox Live Arcade and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.

1972 (Two beautiful songs from Shirley Bassey, 'And I Love You So' LP)
The incomparable Shirley. Bassey, as always, places her unique stamp on these two beautiful tracks with her powerful, but beautifully moving renditions of these two wonderful songs!
ABOUT - And I Love You So LP:
Released late in 1972 to positive reviews, this was Bassey's fourth album of the decade and was one of the albums which comprised her 'comeback' period of the 1970s. Unlike the earlier albums, this didn't feature any hit singles and consequently didn't fare as well as the previous three. It made No.24, and remained on the chart for 9 weeks, reaching its peak on Christmas week, resulting in higher than average sales.
ABOUT Bless The Beasts and Children:
Bless the Beasts and Children is a 1971 film adaptation of the eponymous novel, by Glendon Swarthout, that was directed by Stanley Kramer, featuring Bill Mumy and Barry Robins. The music for the film was composed by Barry De Vorzon and Perry Botkin, Jr.. Their score for the movie included an instrumental selection titled "Cotton's Dream," which was later rescored to become "Nadia's Theme", the theme song of the soap opera The Young and the Restless (produced by Columbia's television division, now Sony Pictures Television). The soundtrack for the film also includes the movie's theme song sung by The Carpenters.
Bless the beasts and the children
For in this world they have no voice
They have no choice
Bless the beasts and the children
For the world can never be
The world they see
Light their way
When the darkness surrounds them
Give them love
Let it shine all around them
Bless the beasts and the children
Give them shelter from a storm
Keep them safe
Keep them warm
ABOUT the song, Someday:
Richard Carpenter co-wrote this song with John Bettis and The Carpenters released it in 1969 on their first LP titled, 'Ticket To Ride'. I have read that Karen who recorded this song at 19 yo had a cold at the time and was never happy with it. If this is how she sounded with a cold, then it's no wonder why the world fell in love with her.
Someday, rested from hours of sleeping
We'll stay safely behind what we're keeping
You'll seem warmer than I had remembered you
Lying so close I'll be able to feel you breathe
I could never leave
One day, when I am able to love you
I'll come back from wherever I've been to
I'll see you looking the same as you always have
Lovely, so lovely, I'll cling to the love you give
So I'll start to live
Someday is coming
If I believe it
Someday always brings the good life you knew ...
Ever back to you
How I need you
Someday, all I can give you is someday
Someday, all I can offer is someday
Please say that you'll be waiting when someday comes
Promise me this and a kiss, to keep what you are
Always close to me
