Classic Game Room reviews CONTRA for Xbox 360, a download from XBLA Xbox Live Arcade. Contra from Konami is the legendary 2D side scrolling shooter where you play as some meatheads with a serious collection of weapons fighting off waves of enemies. The strength of Contra is its style, amazing music and awesome 2-player gameplay. Contra on XBLA can be played one or two player, and you can play two player on screen at the same time, even with friends across the world over Xbox Live Arcade. Terriffic challenge in the later levels coupled with some entertaining visuals makes Contra a memorable arcade game for the ages. Cheap to buy and download from XBLA, give Contra a shot or relive the glory days from when you played it in the arcades or on your NES Nintendo Entertainment System. This CGR review of Contra has gameplay from the XBLA Contra showing game play in action.
Armor Ambush review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR ayy! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room reviews ARMOR AMBUSH for Atari 2600 from M Network (Mattel) published in 1982. Armor Ambush is the Atari version of Armor Battel for the Mattel IntelliVision which plays like Atari's Combat except with two tanks per player! Control one tank, hide it behind a while and switch to the other tank, Armor Ambush is a clever 2-player game from 1982 which is good fun with friends today. Two player gameplay only, no computer AI.
Dynamite Deka 2 review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR stuff! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room reviews DYNAMITE DEKA 2 for Sega Dreamcast from 1999 which is known as Dynamite Cop in the West. This amazing action brawler is one of the best games on the Dreamcast with outstanding gameplay, food-based weapons and two player co-op!
Vampire Hunter review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & hats! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room reviews VAMPIRE HUNTER for Sega Saturn from Capcom released in 1996, a wild and great looking 2D fighting game similar to the old school Street Fighter games! Kick ass one player or two player vs. a friend in this classic old school fighter with great characters that's better known to Western fans as Darkstalkers!
Freeway review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts, mugs & hats! *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room reviews FREEWAY for Atari 2600 from Activision released in 1981! Why did the chicken cross the road? To play more Atari!!! Conceived and designed by David Crane, this early Activision release features simple yet enjoyable game play where you guide a chicken across a crowded freeway filled with maniac drivers. Best played two player against a friend, your objective is to cross the road without being crushed as many times as possible within approximately two minutes. CGR Freeway video review features Freeway Atari 2600 gameplay.
Top Gear Rally review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Classic Game Room reviews TOP GEAR RALLY for Nintendo 64 from 1997! Choose from a variety of unlicensed rally cars and race on tracks in rally championship mode, arcade mode or time trial. While Top Gear Rally looks dated today, it was pretty advanced for an arcade style driving game in the late '90s. Play one or two player races and prepare for a challenge!
This is the first time in the Armored Core series that you can play in co-op with your friends (rather than change the difficulty level of the game, they put a cooperative mode online and on the same console, that's what I call a great idea). Hope you have friends if you love Armored Core: For Answer ^^
Bauer and Albert play duck hunt in real life, but one controls the duck, and one is the shooter, simply awesome.

Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of BALLBLAZER for the Atari 7800 ProSystem video game console. Brought to you by the people who brought you Star Wars, this is Ballblazer from Lucasfilm Games Division! This amazing futuristic science fiction sports game for the 7800 features first person shooter style gameplay years before the fps genre was popular. You are a human fighting against aliens in your rotofoil for the title of MASTERBLAZER, the most presigious title in all the universe. Ballblazer was years ahead of its time and it tremendously fun to play in both one or two person gameplay. This old school retro arcade classic video game takes place in the year 3097 as your fight for Earth's honor (just like the Karate Kid!) Ball Blazer came out for the Atari in 1988 and is a Super Game Cartrdige sought after by collectors today. A fun game that deserves to be remade into a new remake for the PS3, Xbox 360 Live XBLA or Wii.
Wii U review. *******www.ClassicGameRoom**** Shop CGR shirts & mugs *******www.CGRstore**** Classic Game Room reviews the Nintendo Wii U game console with the biggest screen boasting controller ever created! The Nintendo Wii U game system gets the complete CGR treatment with New Super Mario Bros. U, Call of Duty Black Ops II and Nintendo vs. Sega, Game**** and Atari Lynx. The WiiU has a lot of features and a unique touch screen controller that comes in handy, but does poor battery life and a unique controller take away from what the mass market really wants? Nintendo fans should like the increased Wii performance, great HD visuals, Wi-Fi and awesome backwards compatibility with original Wii titles. The Wii shop and Wii-verse are also pretty neat. But, can the Wii U really compete with the Vectrex??
