BY PAUL ROLFE You're watching multisource entertainment video news analysis from Newsy. You may wanna go scuba diving soon while colorful reefs are still around. A revised study from the think tank -- World Resource Institute -- reports 75 percent of the planet’s coral reefs are in danger. “Reefs at Risk Revisited finds that worldwide more than 60 percent of reefs are already threatened by local pressures. If climate change continues unchecked, 90 percent will be threatened by 2030. And nearly all reefs will be threatened by 2050.” The BBC calls coral reefs a hot spot for evolution and diversity of species. “Coral reefs are the most diverse communities in our oceans. Many of them have grown up over hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. And over that time a fantastic number of animals and plants have evolved with them.” NPR says these colorful ecosystems also provide food and economic well-being to half-a-billion people -- those same people may also be the ones causing the damage. “But perhaps the most short-sighted threat to reefs is the use of destructive fishing practices. The use of poisons to stun and capture fish, the use of explosives to kill fish.” And the global threat of climate change may be the most difficult problem to solve when it comes to protecting the reefs. A writer for TIME’s Ecocentric blog says government ordered marine protection just isn’t enough. “If we keep adding carbon dioxide into the atmosphere—which eventually finds its way into the ocean—even the best legal protection might not be enough to save a changing ocean, and the coral reefs that depend on it.” A Fast Company writer thinks marketing may be the issue for environmental NGO’s -- coral reefs could help create a face for climate change. “...the malaria cause has attracted the likes of Ashley Judd, Mandy Moore, and Alicia Keys. But who's speaking out for the reefs? With their beautiful schools of fish and eye-popping colors, coral reefs are a tangible face for the climate change cause...” The World Resource Institute notes, it’s not too late -- reefs are resilient by nature, and the think tank’s report also includes ideas on how to save the reefs. *******ForexAutopilotSystem**** - Day Trading Profit Secrets - Your Goal is to Make Money Isn't It! - Inexperienced day traders or those who make little money from trading often get caught up in the folly of trying to predict the future. In early 2009 the bears were full of gloom and doom. But by April the market had turned around. In early 2010 the bears are out in force again some predicting the end of our financial systems. So how do you make your trading decisions? Sure the world governments are pulling back on spending and handouts, sure there are economies failing such as Greece. But for much of the western world life goes on. China is still in a massive building boom which props up much of the worlds resources. The fact is that whatever happens to the world there isn't a lot we can do about it. We can read the financial papers, read the blogs and online newsletters and we can try and use our crystal ball to see where the market will go. But, it really doesn't matter for traders. Why? Because we can trade both long and short. Even in boom times the market made retracements and it was easy to get cleaned up if we weren't careful. The same applies now, I agree that we need to apply a little more caution, but this is a good thing. Boom markets can cause complacency, we can start to think we are masters of the trading universe, until we are proven otherwise. Your mantra should be. I don't know what the future will be, but I am trading to make money, not to be known as a crystal ball gazer! If you trade as same kind of an ego trip, then that ego will be deflated faster than a balloon at a children's birthday party. I assume everyone else is is trading to make money. Your attention should be on the price action. What are the charts doing? Are the daily charts in agreement with the weekly chart? Is the 30 minute chart in agreement with the 4 hour chart. I have a personal rule that if my 1 hour or 4 hour chart is moving up or down then I prefer to trade the 30 minute chart in the same ...
