http://SupremeMasterTV.com – Traditional Folk Music from Southern Âu Lạc (Vietnam) (In Aulacese). Episode: 1770, Air Date: 20 July 2011. Today’s A Journey through Aesthetic Realms will be presented in Aulacese (Vietnamese), with subtitles in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, Persian, Portuguese,Persian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Âu Lạc (Vietnam) is a nation with a longstanding traditional culture. Aulacese musical heritage is bountiful; since ancient times, many soul-stirring musical instruments have been created with diverse sounds like those of the copper drum, gong, lithophone, bamboo xylophone, cymbals, and panpipe. In 2003, Elegant Music, a style of Huế royal court music, was recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an intangible cultural heritage of the world. Âu Lạc’s music represents the unique features of each region, for example, Quan Họ folksongs in the north, Huế tunes in the central, and modern folk opera in the south. In addition, there are many other forms of music, including hò, lý, ceremonial songs, Aulacese classical theatre, chèo traditional opera, hồ quảng opera, and so on. Indeed, the essence of music is imbued in the hearts of people in this beautiful country, and has been cultivated until this day. In today’s program, we’re pleased to introduce some of the folk songs and musical genres representative of southern Âu Lạc. At an international gathering with our Association members in San Jose, California, USA, in February 16, 1991, Supreme Master Ching Hai sang “Southern Aulacese Hò Singing,” written by composer Phạm Duy in 1956, about the gentle and bountiful land of southern Âu Lạc. We invite you to enjoy an excerpt of this song. Nhà Bè River divides into two branches. Go to Gia Định or Đồng Nai as you wish. The road to the mountain village isn’t far Pass Red Soil District, you will then arrive in Biên Hòa. In Aulacese (Vietnamese) traditional folk music, lý is a singing genre that is mostly based on folk poetry in the form of six-eight couplets. The rhythm varies between fast and slow in a recital style, so lý singing genre has hundreds of different tunes. Through simple lyrics, lý songs often describe images and feelings as experienced in life. Enhanced by tender melodies, lý is very accessible and therefore quite popular. When being close to gentle and compassionate vegan souls, the trees, plants and flowers are even brighter in color, and nature is more peaceful and beautiful, offering humans countless delicious and fragrant fruits. “How happy was the sight of fruit-laden tree! Sweet fruits filled the branches, how adorable! Tasty and fragrant yellow star fruits fell off the tree as a loving gift for him.” “Star Fruit Tree,” a Southern Aulacese folk song, written and performed by our Association members, will now be presented. Once upon a time, there was a young man who was gentle and innocent. The land, house, gold and diamonds— his brother took all, leaving him this star fruit tree. How touching was his honesty! Without thinking, he went to plant the tree and cultivated it with all his love. He waited day and night by a thatched hut for the tree to grow lush and tall, blossom and give a bounteous harvest of delicious star fruits. How happy was the sight of fruit-laden tree! Sweet fruits filled the branches, how adorable! Tasty and fragrant yellow star fruits fell off the tree as a loving gift for him. Fond of the fruits, the fairies picked them up. As they enjoyed the sweet fruits, they thanked the grower. The sun rose high in the late morning. The fairies left and had yet to meet him. They pitied him for his hard work How would they repay him for tending the tree? We wish to pay for the star fruits. Thank you. One day he hid and watched, finding that the fairies loved his delicious star fruits. Knowing that he was a kind vegan soul, they asked to repay his favor. Precious gems and beautiful pearls, gold and silver, they wanted to offer him. He said, “I do not wish for those.” A fairy offered him “Immediate Enlightenment” – the guide! O wonderful, the key is here! Purify the body and mind, meditate morning and evening. A sincere heart, a simple vegan lifestyle, he’s esteemed for his commitment to green living. This life, he’s determined to practice spiritually and become enlightened, blessed by God and Buddha. How heart-rending is the plight of animals and humans – the countless miseries they endure! O Heaven, take pity upon them! May all beings live in peace. May all be vegan and elevated in consciousness. May the world wake up and turn into Paradise. How delightful to watch the fruit-laden tree! He’s happy, so the star fruit tree is happy. He’s happy, so all the animals are happy. From now on, people live in harmony. In Aulacese (Vietnamese) culture, cải lương (modern folk opera) is a popular theater art that dates back about three centuries, when the flourishing South was a new land. Among those who settled in the South at that time were musicians from the royal palace in the ancient capital Huế. Since then, the kind of ceremonial music often heard in the palace became more widely known among the populace. Eventually, new songs were composed. Many amateur musical groups were formed, adopting music and song as a form of elegant entertainment. From about 1912 to 1915, the artists of these musical groups began to combine gestures to their songs. Since then, a new genre called ca ra bộ was born. Performers conversed; sometimes a song would be used as dialogue. Ca ra bộ continued to develop to create the theatrical art that is now called modern folk opera. According to Aulacese belief, the Kitchen God reports to the Jade Emperor on the 23rd day of the last lunar month every year about how things stand on Earth. This year especially, the Kitchen God has to ride the cloud in a hurry back to Heaven before the appointed day. To understand the Kitchen God’s hidden concern, we invite you to watch a short Aulacese modern folk opera, titled “The Kitchen God’s Report,” written and performed by our Association members. I am the Jade Emperor. Here in Heaven, life is peaceful and blissful. But looking down on Earth, I feel sorrow, because there, animals and humans are both in misery. Revered Jade Emperor! The Kitchen God wishes to see you. How strange! It’s yet to be the 23rd day of the last lunar month. Why is he here to see me? Revered Jade Emperor, the Kitchen God said that he has an urgent matter. All right, let him in immediately. Be at ease. You look haggard and skinnier. It’s because lately haven’t been able to eat or sleep well. Why? My Lord, I don’t know how is it that many humans and animals found my cottage. They flocked there more and more every day. They asked me to report to you for wise judgments. They directed loudspeakers towards my hut and lamented noisily. I had no heart to ignore them, so I have go see you before the appointed time. Quickly submit the report so that I comprehend the matters. The number of complaints this year is record-long. I typed with the speed of light and still couldn’t finish them. My computer also went on strike. It couldn’t take anymore. So I have no report to submit to you. Then what do you want me to do? My Lord, I have no written report, but I bring with me the “living” report. I think the “living” report is probably more dramatic than my “ paper” report. What is the “living” report? Where is it? Dear Lord, here it is. Everyone, keep quiet please! The animals may speak first. The beloved pig, please. O Compassionate Jade Emperor! You bestow upon humankind an abundance of nutritious and delicious vegetables and fruits. Yet they insist on turning me into food. Even my friends: cows, chickens, ducks, deer, goats, geese, dogs, and cats are also turned into roasted, barbecued and dried meat. Alas, our grief and distress are countless! Not Agree to Have My Fur Taken! NOT OK! And I am as gentle as... a rabbit! Yet humans heartlessly skin me for my fur to make coats without asking me for an “OK.” But, not only me, even the beavers, lynxes, weasels, foxes, squirrels, and seals are skinned as well. Humans cruelly massacre us for our fur. How very terrifying! Our suffering is greater than the sand in the Ganges River, O Jade Emperor! Safe Hours to Go Out. Revered Jade Emperor! Even crabs, shrimps, and fish cannot have a peaceful day. Anyone who left home without checking for “safe hours” would end up in the fishing net right away! Oh, fishing nets are spread everywhere! How frightening! O Jade Emperor! As for us whales and dolphins, we’ve saved many human lives. We’ve always done good deeds since time immemorial. Yet they heartlessly turn their benefactors into cuisine. How unjust for us! Please help us, Jade Emperor! O child! I also feel anguished! Many Masters have come to Earth, all of whom have advised humans to love all beings, but not many people follow. Listening to them, I also feel deep grief. And humans, if you want to complain about anything, do it quickly, so that I can go home soon to take my computer to the repair shop. Revered Jade Emperor! I’ve never done anything immoral in my life. I lead a pure and simple life with 3 meals a day of roasted pork, hamburger and salted-pepper fried shrimp. Yet droughts, floods, earthquakes and tsunamis keep coming my way, destroying my home. My wife and children were swept away by the flood, my father was taken to Heaven by the tsunami. And my aged mother, unable to survive the last heatwave, also left the world for good. Oh, how very unjust! Please take pity on me. I’m a good person. Revered Jade Emperor! I’m the one who suffers the most injustice. I observe all three obediences and four virtues of a woman. I have virtues aplenty. Chickens, ducks, pigs, and cows, I raise them all because I love them. I love them very much, so I raise them so that they reproduce well. Then I sell all to a dealer and I never slaughter any animal. However, epidemic diseases spread in my whole family, both my husband and son passed away. You heard yourselves just now the heart-rending cries of the animals. If you don’t want to suffer pain, don’t inflict pain upon others. Bestow love by a vegan lifestyle so that all beings may live peacefully, then you will also live peacefully. Here, it’s a gift for you. We understand now! From now on, we will love all animals. Please be so generous as to forgive us! From now on we’ll be good friends. From now on, peace and happiness will reign on Earth! Oh, happiness! Allow me to take leave, O Jade Emperor, I’m going back to my blissful cottage. By the humble cottage, verdant vegetable beds and gentle bamboo grove, simple-hearted rural people share their sweet and joyful moments, while tender human love paints a peaceful pastoral life, redolent of rice and vegetatian. “Gentle rural village, charming green bamboo grove Sound of singing mingling with the afternoon flute Love is tender for a village girl by the cottage Her prayer: may all live happily and peacefully.” We invite you to enjoy a southern Aulacese folk song titled “Rural Village” with lyrics and performance by our Association members. Gentle rural village, charming green bamboo grove Sound of singing mingling with the afternoon flute Love is tender for a village girl by the cottage Her prayer: may all live happily and peacefully. Rural villagers are gentle like soft moonlight Honest and kind, they love all beings. Young men carrying rice, walk briskly in the breeze Scents of wild flowers and ripened rice infuse the air. Rural villagers are gentle like soft moonlight Honest and kind, they love all beings. Love is tender for a village girl by the cottage Her prayer: may all live happily and peacefully. Rural villagers are gentle like soft moonlight Honest and kind, they love all beings. Sun shines, songs of peace heard everywhere. Her prayer: may all live happily and peacefully. Thank you for watching our show on traditional folk music from southern Âu Lạc. Please tune in to Supreme Master Television for more folk music programs in the future. Coming up is Vegetarianism: The Noble Way of Living, after Noteworthy News. So long for now.

Download (If you can't read times and are curious): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3MK8SS1K This video simply just proves that I've beaten all of Oxide's times. Eventually I'll upload all the races against him, but I'm posting this first anyway, before I go on with Shadow missions in SA2 and random KH2FM videos and what not. It also shows the record times too (although they will change). Anyway, beating all of Oxide's time in Time Trial Mode is by far the most difficult challenge in the game. All you get for accomplishing this feat is a lousy new option at the main menu to watch the "Scrapbook", which is useless, considering you can see it after the 101% ending in Adventure Mode. I actually have had to beat all his times twice. I did so years ago, but apparently the memory card it was on died (unless anyone knows how to fix it), so I had to do it again to have a current save of the game with the times beaten. My motivation for doing it the first time was that I was under the impression you could play as Oxide if you beat all his times. I was really dissapointed after finding out you can't. So anyway, you race his ghost in all the tracks and have to beat them all. People who've tried to unlock TT in Diddy Kong Racing know this all too well (of course unlocking TT is much much easier than this). You first race a track once. If you're fast enough, N. Tropy's ghost becomes unlocked and you have to beat it. After you beat Tropy, Oxide's ghost appears. Each track is marked with 0 to 2 stars. If it's 0, you've beaten neither. A yellow star means you've beaten N. Tropy. A white star means you've beaten Oxide. That's all you can do. Some tracks are surprisingly easy, while some are extremely difficult. You will have had to literally master the power sliding technique and know how to be in constant boosting status (or whatever it's called). Some levels (like Coco Park) can't seem to beat his ghost without a fast character (like Tiny). I personally find Blizzard Bluff his hardest ghost. You have to be PERFECT. But more on specific levels when I start uploading the races.

6 million people crying from the grave. Invisible people calling out their names Beautiful people taken from their homes. Oh, scattered people no where to go And the mother and fathers and the sons and daughters, they were carried away in trains Their bodies are broken and beaten and burned and their ashes fell down like rain They were branded with a number and a yellow star and paraded around in shame They called it a crime to be born a jew and in the name of god they were slain Blessed people who tried to help while evil people schemed among themselves Everyday people who ignored the news, oh...indifferent people sitting in the pews And the mother and fathers and the sons and daughters, they were carried away in trains Their bodies are broken and beaten and burned and their ashes fell down like rain They were branded with a number and a yellow star and paraded around in shame They called it a crime to be born a jew and in the name of god they were slain The forgotten people, 6 million people, The forgotten people, the chosen people It's time to wake up from the pleasant sleep. Time to see our nakedness and begin to weep Sound the alarm shouting "never again!" Let a righteous revolution begin History must never repeat itself so lift your voices and take a stand United as one for Zion's sake, undivided as the nations rage We've got to rise like an army in the name of the nation that was born in a day The forgotten people, 6 million people, The forgotten people, the chosen people Can you hear them calling out again? These words are spoken during the song "Forgotten People" by Ted Pearce. The song is part of the new sampler "For Zion's Sake" and will be published in spring 2007 by "Galillee of the Nations". Never again! by Jobst Bittner The Bible says, "For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments." (Ex 20:5-6) Lord, I hear the cries of 6 million of your people. Men, women, children -- murdered, annihilated in the Holocaust and burnt. We confess these atrocities as sin and humble ourselves before you in shame. You have heard our plea and our repentance has come before your ears. Lord, I see black smoke. It rises up and spreads out like a veil of darkness over our nations again! This dark veil is the sin of our silence! Just as we Germans have remained silent, the peoples and nations are silent once again. Again, your people Israel is hated, despised and rejected -- and yet we remain silent -- even in the church. We are silent -- concerning the sin of our fathers. We remain silent -- and behold -- the black smoke is covering us again. From the land of unmerited grace, we are calling out -- Nations arise! For Zion's sake, open your mouth! Never again -- slander, hatred or death! Israel -- we will never forsake you again! You are our inheritance, our love, the blessing for all nations! Listen! Receive the word! It will pervade your spirit. No more silence! Never again! Never again! Never again! http://www.tedpearce.com/ http://www.lamblion.com/ http://www.tedpearce.com/video2007.html

Identical twin sisters Iudit Barnea and Lia Huber (nées Tchengar) were born in 1937 in the town of Şimleul Silvaniei (Szilagysomlyo), Transylvania. In 1940, Transylvania was annexed to Hungary, and in June 1942 their father Zvi was taken to a forced labor unit on the Russian front. With the German conquest of Hungary in March 1944, the familys property and belongings were confiscated, and they were forced to wear a yellow star. In May 1944 Iudit, Lia and their mother, Miriam-Rachel, were interned in a ghetto, and the following month they were deported to Auschwitz, along with many other members of their family. At Auschwitz, Iudit and Lia suffered the infamous medical experiments of Josef Mengele. The twins always stayed close together. Every night, their mother would sneak into their block and give them her meager portion of bread. She would also take them outside, in all weathers, to wash them and comb their hair, and thus preventing them from getting infested by lice and being doomed to the gas chambers. One day, as Mengele was experimenting on the girls, Miriam-Rachel burst into the shack and begged him to stop. In response, she was injected with a concoction that nearly killed her, and caused her permanent deafness. In January 1945 the girls and their mother were liberated by the Red Army. They returned to Şimleul Silvaniei, and in August 1945 they were reunited with their father, who had survived many camps. In 1960 the family immigrated to Israel. Both girls married: Lia and her husband Jean have two children and seven grandchildren; Iudit and Moshe have three children and five grandchildren. A tutorial to tie in with Mario's Quest: this shows how I made the yellow star which is used in Mario's Quest. It's a simpler one this time, ideal for any of you who hadn't tried the others perhaps because you'd never sewn before. Star outline: http://www.flickr.com/photos/83280654N07/9285276172/sizes/o/ Subtitles available in English or to translate into any language, as usual: Press the second button on the right, between this text and the video! In fact, the most difficult part is creating a star-shaped template, because as you will see, I got this wrong and so my star wasn't even symmetrical! So the 'angle bisecting' trick at 1:34 was added in after I finished my star, to help you make the best shape possible. I would like to ask: does the video move to quickly or too slowly for you, i.e. would you prefer it if I didn't speed up the video quite as much, or if I skipped some more bits out? Because it's tough to get this balance right. FELT: can be found in most arts and crafts stores. Next week: Mario's Quest - Part 2!

A Jewish mother, how bitter life is when she is not there. you must thank God that she is still with you. How sad to be when she passes away too soon. She would run through fire and water for the sake of her child. It is the worst of sins not holding her precious. Happy and rich is the man who has got this beautiful gift of God, to have still an old Jewish mother Mother Mother of mine Regine Zylberberg.- French chanteuse. Born on December 26, 1929 in Belgium to Polish-Jewish parents. ANECDOTE: " My Yiddishe Momme" "My Yiddishe Momme" was originally written in 1925 by Jack Yellen as a personal tribute to his mother who recently had died. A few years later he asked Lew Pollack to work on the melody with him, and eventually the song credits read JACK YELLEN (words) JACK YELLEN and LEW POLLACK (music). "On an impulse" he told David Ewen "I called up Sophie Tucker at the Claridge Hotel in New York. She bawled me out for spoiling her sleeping pill, but she listened, and when I finished singing , she was weeping. Between gulps, she asked me to send her a copy. She wrote me that her agents and friends suggested the title be changed to "Jewish" or "Hebrew mother", being afraid of the word "Yiddish". I told her that if she sang it, it would be "Yiddish Momme" or nothing at all, and what is more; I insisted that she should sing the chorus in yiddish, the way I had written it. THE 1928 disk that sold a million copies was two-sided, with the english version on one side and the Yiddish on the other. The accompaniment was by Ted Shapiro, who worked with Sophie for forty-six years, up to her death, and wrote much special material for her. Sophie introduced the song initially at the Palace Theatre in New York in 1925 to a standing ovation."". Title: A Yidishe Mame -- אַ ייִדישע מאַמע Also known as: Yidishe Mame Also known as: Mayn Yidishe Mame Also known as: My Yidishe Mame Author: Yellen, Jack Composer: Yellen, Jack Composer: Pollack, Lou -- פּאָלעק, לאָו Genre: Nostalgia/Family Subject: Mother/Constancy/Devotion/Immigration Paris sous l'Occupation- June 14, 1940. "in June 1942, all Jews over the age of six living in the occupied zone were ordered to wear a yellow star of David marked with the word "Juif," meaning Jew.". On November 9th, 2008 jews all over the world will mark the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht, 1938. Synagogues burned, jewish owned stores destroyed, books on fire. Many jews arrested. It was what many have described as the begining of the holocaust....
