Change TV Channels Without A Remote!

I just tried it, and it worked!!! Now I can annoy the hell out of my dad during the footie!

A remote control sends out a series of digital IR pulse codes which are programmed specificly to trigger different functions on the television. You would have a better chance of sending a fax by singing happy birthday over the phone. Ill post that one next week!

Depending on how you pulse the signal and the frequency codes for a particular television, you can get different effects.

it took my like an hour off fiddling with it off and on, but i got it to work finally...

this is funny, i wonder how many of you tried this..the receiver is for intrared and you put something solid in front of the sourse... did i say lol yet... you can ave something small in front of a regular remote and it wond work... lol

I can't get it to work! I'm using an LED Mini maglite and i did everything you said to in the video. Is there a certain light or magnifying glass i have to use?

im using the official mini mag and an average sized magnifying glass with no success

And this wristwatch did exactly the same thing. It's tons of fun messing with people's heads in this way. Once I did this to my cousin while he was playing Grand Theft Auto, damn it was hilarious. I would turn the tv off and as he got up to turn it on, I would beat him to it. He still doesn't know what happened!
