Hidden Danger Microwave

Water explodes when you heat it up in the microwave by itself. Never seen it till now.

this is true. The only fact is, that the water must be totally clean, aka normal water dont do the trick.

i boiled watter using mv~ and nothing like that happened..

DISTILLED water will not boil. TAP water will. The difference is the mineral content or "contaminants" in the water. When you heat DISTILLED water to 100C THEN add a contaminate, such as the spoon, it will boil. TAP water will simply boil by itself because of the minerals it has dissolved in it.

did u guys use distiled water when you did this, or tap water.

That happens when you use distilled water. But tap water and bottled water are safe.

you have to use distilled water since it has no impurities like tap water meaning it can't boil and the water will "explode" when disturbed.

I once micro'd cola for a few minutes......after a while the cola just lept out of the cup and covered the whole inside of the microwave

And I also heard of eggs exploding too. Luckily I hardly use the microwave. =)

nothing happened.

im 16 and that was on the border line of stupidity. The molecules are moving fast because there hot. They are trying to spread out but when there is something cold the molecules will ruch to cool down.
