after my earlier feable attempt to make a matchstick cube, now I succeeded and made it much more intricate than originally intended - check it out, NO GLUE! and almost 500 matches! So far I have seen only one other matchstick cube on Metacafe, but that other one does not come even close to the amount of matches in this one (although check out that video also, to get the idea as how to build one, and how difficult it is!)

      when you have one cube made, you can use it as an aid in making a second one bu sliding mathces slightly out in one axis and inserting matches in these holes on top and then slide in mathces in between of these matches sticking up, alernating from one side and a side perpendicular to it, building your second cube and then separating it from the first one.

    this one took hours to make (please not that as opposed to the 'regular' matchstick cube this one has all sides filled with matches - this is almost 500 matchstiks!)

      I built one of these and know exactly what a pain in the ... it is to make one, especially after you are done making the initial contruction and when you need to flip it the whole %$^$# thing falls appart
