it's not like you can go to the mall and calculate the total of your groceries in your head. the number had to be in a certain ways that the possibility of this technique being useful to you is 1 to a 3.4567 million.

when the two begining numbers are equal
ie. 37 x 38 two 3s.
and only works for specific numbers
ie. 25 x 26, using this method comes out as 630, whereas the actual answer is 650

The posters for this video obviously aren't big fans of math. Math makes the world go round people. If it weren't for the math geeks and engineers in the world you wouldn't have your stupid precious little cell phones and laptops to play on. Tricks like this are actually fun to use for those who enjoy math and relying on their brain rather than a calculator.

An ok technique, but the possibilites of finding two numbers that satisfy these conditions are extremely low, so only unless you find that rare condition, you can get lucky, but how many times will you get that lucky...not too man times..

these techniques are widely used by ancient indian mathematicians,, its called Vedic maths....

How can u say math is useless ?? If it hadn`t been for math you guys would still be in caves ... Everything in this world is created from math... I mean ... it would be simply impossible to build a building, to build a car, to build anything. it would be simple and easy without those conditions. many of the problems and multiplications in math will not have those requirements so for me this is useless.

Just a play on numbers, but I am curious why the Vedas is so interested in it? Maybe there is some significance practically dealing with specific numbers the way we would count weeks out of days. What is the Vedas?

Multiplying by this method can only be done if specific conditions meet....which will rarely happen when you need to multiply some random numbers.

Totally useless. It means if you have luck for the conditions to be satisfied you got it, but if it doesn't grab your calculator and you have it. The kids might be blind and everytime search for this way of calculating but if the cond not satisf. they just disappoint, and start to hate math.

Please don't count on this calculation method, it can only done on few or fixed figure. If you try 48X43 by this method, the result is 2024, but that's WRONG, the answer is 2064.

to remember all the rules for multiple tricks and checking if any of them applies to a given problem takes longer than taking a calc and counting on it... so unless you are a f*** geek to remember this stuff it;s useless..
